xpressionx:The NA did the right thing by arresting him. That was a senseless thing to do at this period of time. |
Ammishaddai:It is only a he-goat that would think that people in their 30s and 40s are oldies ( they certainly are young people even if they aren't youths in the real sense of the definition) just to make a baseless point... |
DCmonster:Make e pain you well well. And you think any country will give such huge funds to another that won't payback? Have you ever heard of 'Repayment Plan' or 'Credit Worthiness'? Not only do these loans come with the actual delivery of quality infrastructure, they also come with technology transfer, human capital development and jobs. There is an ongoing Train Assembly Plant project in Kajola. You, obviously, are the fool here. |
TheSupleemLeada:See them! Dem don come... And he stalled Warri-Itakpe too? And Abuja-Kaduna? I guess he also stalled the PDP National Secretariat Building, as well as various other infrastructure projects across the country. Infact, he stalled Nigeria until he reemerged as president in 2015. Make una dey try reason small before una talk. |
NGpatriot:When we say Buhari is working.. dem go dey argue. My friend recently came from Okene to Warri via train for N3000. He couldn't hide his joy about how quick and convenient his journey was. Na them sabi sha. As far as I know, the man is doing his utmost. Nigerians no too well. They are averse to lending any hand to better the country... Na so so complain and fault finding. |
NGpatriot:I no go come to your rescue o, when they come for you. Lol. Their usual take off point na....'It was Jonathan that started it'.. |
Sirjamo:Na Fulani herdsmen cause am...Lol. |
Sirjamo:You go wicked for real life sha...Lol. |
Ammishaddai:It is a big fat lie! Totally baseless. I will prove this to you, simply. Are the countries with the highest drug related offences the same as those with the poorest unemployment and literacy figures? Or even the largest population? Iran, Afghanistan, Russia, USA and Great Britain are among the top 5 countries in terms of the Opioid pandemic. In the case of Russia, which does not support harm reduction strategies such as needle exchange programs (rather opting for punitive measures, like incanceration, for drug offences), this has resulted in the country having one of the fastest growing HIV/AIDS epidemics on planet Earth. Marijuana is the most commonly abused illicit drugs in the US with at least 22.2 million users. Americans are at the greatest risk of drug-related deaths and currently have the most people with prescription painkiller addictions in the world. England is one of the top users of cocaine and heroine in Europe. Don't be lazy! Do some simple research and cure yourself of some ignorance. If it were about unemployment and illiteracy....or even hopelessness, countries like Djibouti, Eritrea, South Sudan, Mali, DR Congo, Cameroon, Togo, Chad..name them..nor go even let Nigeria near the first position. |
Fahdiga:Which dream this one dey talk about? Guy, dem dey talk say the world don come to an end like this, you dey talk about dream coming through. Shame don finally comot for people eye...which kind nonsense be this? You sef reason am na...the only thing wey you fit reason na how e for take be you wey knack your son ex girlfriend... Hmmmm...nawa. Your matter strong o. The girl na even saint where you dey. This na total rubbish! |
TYglobal:She go go MFM go turn Usher and Choir Mistress take deceive one brother na... Bro, you don forget 'If any man (woman) be in Christ ( which seems to have been modified to 'if any man be in Church), he / she is a new creature.... Such a collossal disgrace! Finally, na God get judgement. |
Ammishaddai:You sounded absolutely senseless. Every damn comment credited to Oshiomhole in this piece of news represents the naked truth. Infact, Oshiomhole has never been more honest. What has age got to do with governance? Most Nigerian youths, like their older folks, are grossly reckless, senseless and wayward. James Ibori, Orji-Kalu, Dimeji Bankole, Joshua Dariye, Yakubu Gowon, Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, Salisu Buhari, Donald Duke etc, were all youths when they occupied top leadership positions? |
MrrGary:Not true. This is about untameable greed, moral bankruptcy and indolence. |
Decentdave:Na today hardship start? They are just youths destined for ruin. This is about greed and insatiable desires. There are a thousand and one things they could venture into, to keep body and soul together, until things get better. There isn't any justification, my brother. |
Ammishaddai:I agree with the stat that the South West is the epicenter of drug abuse in Nigeria. Why would anyone even want to doubt that? This isn't about ethnicity or tribe. Isn't there a substantial concentration of persons from the North in Lagos? Couldn't that be a reason for the spike in that axis? The stat didn't provide information on the ethnicity of these drug abusers, hence I see no rationale for any doubts. I think it is petty tribalism, unnecessary sentiments and sheer ignorance that could make anyone question such information coming from an authority like the NDLEA. You have to provide verifiable data in the contrary to disapprove them, otherwise your disagreement amounts to nothing. |
frndfghtr:As far as I am concerned, she didn't make so much impact...'cos you still cannot write what people can easily comprehend. Perhaps, it could be 'follow come' that you are incapable of writing in a manner that is comprehensible. |
OB7Foreva:You mean those cowards that couldn't face the Nigerian military? |
theNaughtyPope:Oga, where are you from sef? Ifeanyi Uba can't be governor of Anambra state...not this year, not anytime in future. Go and write it down somewhere. |
Kestolove:Na the plane wey carry your entire family go crash... Una own na to dey conceive and talk nonsense all the time! |
Pappyxar:What truth? Abeg, go siddon! Bettering Nigeria has nothing to do with generation or age. The same way and measure in which we have morally bankrupt older people is how we have morally bankrupt young people. Go and see embezzlements and financial impropriety in SUGs and other youth run institutions... Were Orji Kalu, James Ibori, Joshua Dariye, DSP Alamieseigha..and even himself, Bukola Saraki, among others, old people when they served as governors of their respective states? |
puremaker7:This is the fool that some individuals in the South East wanted as President before he lost shamefully at the PDP primaries, not just to Atiku, but also Tambuwal. This comment credited to Saraki represents the height of his foolishness. So, in essence he was saying that leadership is for the morally bankrupt, and it must stay that way, especially because young people must quit dreaming of a better Nigeria, as the constraints of money and network will remain perpetual. He believes that we must continue to live within the structures of failure that his generation and the ones before, have setup. Mtchewww....this Saraki na real idiot! |
benuejosh:I agree with you. Dem never born the 'Ipobian' wey fit stop election for my state. They are just so lucky that someone like me isn't the governor of the state. I say it here, like I have always said in other fora, the governors of the SE are responsible for all of the nonsense going on. They allowed these IPOB miscreants put fear in them. Military operation 'Golden Dawn' just commenced in the SE, let IPOB/ESN/UGM come out, if they've got the balls and face the Nigerian military; and quit targeting harmless individuals and school pupils. |
Terorislam:Some Nigerians can be said to be useless and unproductive... certainly not Nigeria as a country. Worse conditions than these exist in countless countries, the world over, including the US. So, spare me the baseless talk about Nigeria being useless. This is the country where the second longest bridge in Africa is due for commissioning next year, despite hosting the current second longest bridge on the continent. It is useless yet you have Multinationals scattered all over, with fresh FDIs running into several billions of dollars still coming in. The world's largest privately owned refinery is currently being built in Nigeria. You think China and the rest of the world would put their billions into a 'useless' venture? Any right thinking person would appreciate that you are only being unnecessarily emotional. |
kuntash:You be man wey sabi. These are the people we should be celebrating ....not the likes of Mercy Eke, Daniella Okeke, Husspuppi and the rest. E come be like say being a celebrity na all about being an ashawo and yahoo boy... The matter don taya me sef. |
Sebastine1994:On point! Countries are looking for a single Messiah and Saviour as President. The truth is, that can't happen. We all have to work to achieve our collective dreams. As far as leadership is concerned, the more people you have getting it right from the bottom, the better. I mean from the Ward, Community, LG and State levels. The government at the center is more of an interventionist last resort. It is in place mainly for direction, unification and coordination. For instance, on security all people at the grassroots (villages and communities) know the hoodlums and criminals that reside among them, much more than the security operatives and governments do. What are village heads and Chiefs doing? What are parents doing about their daredevil criminal children? What are the roles of educational and religious institutions? That is why I do not take all the calls for restructuring, resource control and all what not, seriously. These are distractions. These things we happen naturally in due course. The pertinent issue is, how are the resources that are being currently allocated used before asking for more? My friend recently traveled via train from Warri to Okene for N3,000. These are the kinds of success stories we want to hear about....not about political parties, secessionist agitations, ethnic bigotry, religious strife etc. |
TUANKU:That kind of includes Delta and Rivers. All their thing na power power.....oppression. Agbero life dey their body, save for a tiny 1% of them. The people matter taya me. |
seunmsg:Who you come dey ask now? |
Mynd44:Lol! People who take Wike seriously do so at their own peril. We wey sabi Wike since before e become Obio / Akpor LGA Chairman for 1999, no say na big time hypocrite and agbero e be. |
Ernestforyou:No be lie, my brother. |
hisexcellency34:Na dat one come be your problem abi? Abeg, shift. |
otokx:You dey mind dem? Na yeye people and hypocrites dem be. Na dem dey throw pure water sachets all over the place, and dey fill up drainage channels. Visit Sapele in Delta state, and see how they dump construction materials such as sand, concrete etc, on roads, for their personal building projects. Dem dey even block road for full day to celebrate birthday, yet they blame government over everything. Just imagine Nigeria without dirts, blocked drains, refuse dumps, broken sewages and terible odours.... Until we begin to see the Nigeria we desire as a collective project, we never start... Canada this, Australia that.... Dat na another man country o. |
chatinent:Achebe wasn't entirely right. I have great respect for him still. However, I feel that he contributed to putting Africa, and Nigeria in particular, in the very bad light that she is currently under, before the world. But that is on one hand. On the other, he obviously helped to correct several ideological deficiencies (among other traditional and societal excesses and ills) around leadership and followership on the continent. Assassinations and killings happen everywhere. He never wrote much about gun violence and other heinous crimes that happen in the US, where he lived for decades. I feel that Achebe grossly betrayed his own country by that book title. I don't know why...but I feel so. I can't help but still love and appreciate his works though. He was exceptional, in a unique way. |
