fembizz:Of course you could mean 500%. I just though it might have been a mistake |
fembizz:I think you made the mistake of writing 500% instead of $500. That seems to be it |
hisableplc:Please, which is your broker? |
This post is very stupid because who told the poser that the south-south, even in their worst nightmares, dream of being politically locked with Igbos in anything called Biafria? ~South-South voice |
Funny because today, we are ebola-free and they are not |
And it is true that Fashiola will be the docile partner in that r/ship (as a vice) and will have to share the credit for whatever good/bad Buhari might get into. He may not be able to stay Buhari's hand, if Buhari goes extremist ~ South-South Voice |
Omimah:It is not about what the constitution says. It is about applying wisdom to strategy. If that combination will not go down well with the public, even if it is not constitutionally restrained, the party should in its own interest consider something different in order not to get hurt. I say this being a PDP supporter. If APC wants to go ahead and do this, they may. It may pay off, but there are strong indications it is more counter productive than it is productive ~South-South Voice |

I am a southerner and a christian. We have long held the belief that it does not matter the ethnic group or religion of the aspirant, as long as he is competent to do the job. But the manner in which the north conducted themselves from the time Y'ar Adua passed on has been shocking and disappointing. I now clearly identify a less refined (and divisive) sect of northern politicians, a group people like Sanusi seemed to seamlessly align themselves into without any formal meetings, due to the kind of people they are naturally and also a group Buhari most definitely falls into, on the extreme end In the light of all that has transpired from that time till now, it becomes extremely difficult (more like impossible) for me to vote for a man like Buhari, and honestly, while I am a PDP supporter, I am a fan of Fashiola. But his alignment with a person like Buhari will cause me to think that he perhaps has a few things in common with Buhari. In my view, it casts a slight taint on the person of gov Fashiola. Finally, it does not matter if combined, they will do well. The truth is that considering the current state of extremist islamism at home and abroad, no one wants to encourage any kind of fanatism amongst local or international muslims concerning Nigeria. We know that these people do not think well. A double muslim leadership will inspire new thoughts in their minds and provide fuel for the distorted quest these extremists have, a quest they make no pretense about. ~ South-South Voice |
kingson001:You have already been reported for abusive language |
kingson001:Take it easy, brother. Take it easy. Get a glass of water. Then go check the distance again tomorrow. If the need arises again after doing that, go get another glass of water. |
Demdem: Demdem:Please I used the word "All", which clearly means all. This thread is about our Rivers monorail. Anyone (including you) can create new threads about other governors and comparison between governors. |
MeAboki:These people are only a certain type of Christians and really, the office of the pope was conceived in evil, thrived in evil, and has not let go (apparently) of all its enshrined or inculcated evil. I am a Christian bu no christian can agree that the atrocities committed by early popes can be have any justification. The office of the pope was a man-made (and not God-inspired) creation. |
Honestly, I do not understand the beef Igbos have for Yoruba. I am from the south-south. I can understand their beef with the north. The north has been killing them in riots over the years, starting from when they publicly kept mocking the Sadauna, saying how he died like a goat, doing all this when being hosted by the north. But as for the yorubas, it doesn't add up to me |
obioraval:Interesting |
abagoro:This thread is about the =N=50 distance Rivers Monorail Project Wonder. Digressers are encouraged to stop digressing |
arresa: Ikengawo: Demdem:Please this thread is about the =N=50 distance Rivers Monorail Project Wonder. All digressers are encouraged to stop digressing |
Reminds me of me back in school. Couldn't help laughing. I was w-o-o-o-o-r-s-s-s-e than anybody I have ever known. For real My dear, I was terrible. I didn't even know how to speak pidgin. The girl that I wanted didn't want me. (or who knows, maybe she thought I was not just rough enough to take her for myself) Now she does want me and I do not want her. I am not single at all now, and I thank God for everything. It is also interesting how many views and replies this has got. It was only posted 2 days ago. Nairaland has got this zing that facebook doesn't |
Don't give in. If you do, you can be sure your boss will tell his friends he did it with you. This is something he has set himself to with chances he has told friends what he wants to do. Your value will further go down if he succeeds with you. That is what he wants. Instead, find a way to tell someone in management on whose a desk his report is likely to land, about what your ex has threatened to do. If he goes and reports, it will have not effect in the end. Also, you are good enough to get a better job elsewhere. But remember that he does not have the moral high ground on account of the fact that he is trying to blackmail you for sex. He shd be ashamed. If you give in, he will drag you down again and again, wanting enough encounters for him to feel done with you, each time re-enforcing a master-slave relationship, each time remorselessly digging a fork in your self esteem. And I do not mean this through the act of sex, but through the things he will tell you to do. The new contempt with which he will order you around, still demanding to have his way afterwards, dangling the same old threat. He is a piece of rag determined to make you feel like a piece of rag by the time he is done with you. You will discover in the end, his threat was never worth it. If he wants to go report, he had better do it now - but not before you pre-emptively strike. Remember these things when next he speaks to you of this. Remember, and help yourself. That being said, I still advocate abstinence before marriage (which shd be early too, considering it is not so easy refraining) Be strong and Be cool |
Honestly, not being very involved in politics, I wanted an opposition too. But when I saw the kind of opposition APC was, it became clear to me it was better to support PDP and work from there than to degenerate into a quagmire of greed, hate, lust for power and all the other things the new party portrayed. I would not have been a serious supporter of PDP if APC had not emerged. I would have still been hoping a credible opposition would emerge. |
arresa:How can anyone be in pain about this? One monorail Eight years =N=50 distance Multi-billion naira budget This is the kind of thing that brings joy every common man. ~ South-south man |
Demdem:I am a rivers guy and I think the main thing is that anybody who thinks a reasonable distance was covered by the monorail should come to PH and see it. Get into a bus or taxi where the monorail starts, and stop where it stops then see how much the cab man or conductor will charge you. |
Please, those that think the second picture in my post is a false reflection of what is on ground should remember that the monorail stops somewhere. Wherever the monorail stops, do you think it can look much different from that photo? |
The unique thing about this project is the distance it covers (50naira worth by taxi) |
African Wonder! Come and see the =N=150b monorail in Port Harcourt Garden City that covers only a 50naira taxi distance. You have to admit, this kind of feat is not easy to accomplish. We must give the able Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, the credit for accomplishing this feat. www.nairaland.com/attachments/1775763_riversmonorail3_jpeg6750114d0afa1b5caa0305681124bdb5 www.nairaland.com/attachments/4336076_ama2_png0b5c2f811363f788b6ff656e8151a9a9

2sExy1:That is not how it works. You have to sell. To sell, you need exposure. And for the right exposure, you need someone that knows. One should never underestimate the services of a good/professional salesman. Salesmen are the ones who keep the executives in the office paid. |
Demdem:What is the connection between what you are saying now and the appraisal of the decision to carry out this project in the first place? **head scratcher** |
Demdem:I wish I could understand what you are trying to say. |
Demdem:Is that why he conceived and embarked upon such a silly idea in the first place? Don't worry. the monorail will soon become a tourist attraction as people from all over Nigeria will come and see how it covers only a 50naira distance |
oladayo042:Well, you have to have the time to sell them. I don't. I am trying to outsource. I only know a neat way to land nice generic names. |
