Err mr BlueAgent there are some things I agree with you on with the point of some atheists believing in blind chance. This is re.tarded to an extent. The problem with atheists is that they only look at God in the view of religion that is why you hear such absurd things.

Two things, first, you at assuming that nothing was the default position of existence, there could always have been 'something' existing through to the beginning of time.

Secondly, even if there was nothing at any point, the God hypothesis is an unnecessary one. This is because there is an intrinsic quality that God must possess that is possible without a universe existing, that is: consciousness.

Not here to argue, I just want you to understand my stance on the matter.

There are more things in life to bother about man
If I tell anyone about my views on religion and they feel any type of way and start getting all preachy and judgemental then that's their own business man. I couldn't give two bleeps about what they think . You would find people that don't care and people that change their opinion towards you when they see your behaviour. Learn that variety is the spice of life and that meeting people with a different outlook on life is great and would serve as a way of understanding and accepting different world views. Everyone can't and will not be the same. Even if anyone should change their worldview on life from interacting with you ss an unbeliever it will be done at their own pace and decided by them not you. Then you'll see that spending hours on end to debate religious people is pointless. Completely pointless.
Why would you when care about what religious people believe if everything is purposeless

There are different kinds of atheism and theism. Gnostic theism, agnostic theism, gnostic atheism and agnostic atheism. To be gnostic means to be 100% sure while to be agnostic means to be less than 100% sure. Most atheists are agnostic. So it is very possible for an atheist to be open-minded.

I am a 6 on the Dawkins scale and have made it clear that I only lack belief in the existence of God due to the absence of evidence. I'm about as agnostic towards the existence of God as I am towards the existence of Superman. Still, it is not possible to prove a negative and if you feel that it is, why don't you show me how by proving that Superman doesn't exist?

Atheism is not the best way to start. Panentheism/pantheism/deism is the best way to start. If atheism is "disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods" how can you carry out a meaningful research holding the above view?

Starting off an experiment with "God exists" is not being bias, it is called hypothesis. The field of quantum physics will sooner than later prove that God is an infinite consciousness and source energy, The first cause that caused the creation and unity.

The problem is that you're basing your hypothesis on something that is already a foregone conclusion in your own mind. Your thinking that quantum physics would prove that there is a universal consciousness and infinite source of energy gives that away. A purely scientific view would test whether or not a universal consciousness or infinite source of energy exists in the first place.

It is unscientific to build a hypothesis that is not open to modification. If your hypothesis is "God exists," until there is empirical evidence, you cannot conclude prove your hypothesis. If your defined method of experimentation does not find God, you have to conclude that your hypothesis is flawed and work to modify it.

Then they'll say that natural selection isn't true.

You are absolutely right about this. Religion is not the cause of all the world's problems, its eradication should not stop period from coming up with toxic ideologies. The reason religion is unique is due to its lack of reality checks.

Let's take a look at communism. Where - simply put - people are led to believe that everyone's life would be better if they let the government control everything, the obvious reality check would be to gauge the well-being of the average citizen. Slowly but surely people's support would be affected by the facts on ground. In fact, we can see that support for communism slowly waned over time leaving it mostly dead today.

Religion does not have that, that is why Muslims who lived 1000 years ago partook in religious wars with the promise of 72 virgins still have spiritual successors today who believe the same thing. Nobody can come back from the dead to tell us that there aren't actually 72 virgins waiting for us when we die. Meaning that some Muslims today will still fall for the same trick, which we see all the time these days.

Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.
