I don't know your village,if it's a village with good schools and good health care.
Having money and leaving your children back in the village to live uncivilized life that will affect them in future is not wise.

You said money is not the problem,so the best option here is take them to a good school in your base with boarding facilities.

You people have turn nairaland to something else, any small thing carry your phone to type the issue you alone can find solution to it within yourself.since you said money ain't the problem, then it is left for you to choose the one that comes from your heart.no one is you, choose your preference
money does not solve all problems,I don't know how old you are, even septuagenarians still consult on some challenges facing them.

He is on point here,by the time different people bring their suggestions, his eyes will be opened to to take the right step.

This is one are nairaland is very good at.

Your submission makes sense but unfortunately, our National Assembly - have been too docile to change the narrative to favour the Masses!
•How would the Foreigners give you respect, when they know, you need money too! eg- the Elumelu Power -------House Committee- that ended up being very compromised because of accusations of Corruption!
-Another example is the directives by House to DStv,the Estimated Billings - the Gbajabiamila House said should stopped by DISCOS but still very much alive in Nigeria- as the NEPA/ DISCOS Officials just types Nonsense into your Phone and claims it's your Monthly Power Usage- when indeed, No Lights was given at all, to the People!
-Such Nonsense can never happened in USA,for Congress to give directives, and some people turned it down!
- Even the Ajaokuta Steel Production - was a Monumental Fraudulent Manipulations - aided by NIGERIANS and Foreigners - the Russians, and others are all involved!
Very Shameful Indeed
The legistures are contractors, they have companies opened with the names of their relatives and concubines.
When they get these contracts they either do a shoddy job or abandon it completely.
Corruption is Nigeria biggest undoing

You're somewhat at fault here.

When you want to save very well,

1. why go home daily when you could make arrangement to sleep at work, and only go home once in a while >

2. Why buy food outside daily when you could cook, even if na concotion, then eat outside once in a while ?
Good advise, since he is still single,he can sleep in the betting shop and go home only on weekends and also cook his own food.

JasOnKruegEr:
Is this job worth it ? I am the manager of a betting shop and my monthly salary is 40,000.

I have been on the job for four years now and I'm thinking I'm not getting younger anymore . I joined the work with the aim of saving and sending myself to school I've tried for years now but it was unsuccessful.

I got promoted as a manager earlier this year, I felt it was the perfect opportunity for me to send myself to school as I will have the time and opportunity. To be able to go to school while also working.

The problem here is the cost of expenses . Transportation and food I spend a minimum of 1500 everyday and as a manager I have to go everyday Sunday to Saturday without off. If you calculate it I spend a minimum of 46000 which is more than my monthly salary for just food and transport. There are small perks like in terms of winning, people can give you a share inside but that doesn't happen always, sometimes I can go a week without getting 5 naira from anyone

. I haven't added other personal expenses to this, how much will remain that I am going to even save for school? Talk more of other shortages expected in the job.

What's the gain of stressing myself working from 8am to 9pm everyday only to spend more than my monthly salary on food and transport ?

I'm thinking of finding a better job but where is the work ?
You said it all"where is the work".The fact that you can feed yourself with that salary without begging is an achievement.

I will advise, you learn an online skills

Women find it difficult to say sorry if they are wrong . Most times I just say my mind and let it rest after vexing of not receiving a common sorry
Yes, most women prefared to apologize through their actions and behaviours than the use of the mouth.

Please try to understand your wife,so that little things won't cause big problem in the home.

Few days ago my wife was angried and utterred some statements that I do not like.
The statement was that she relating an issue by using my mum
The statement was "had it been it was your mum that did that you would have find means to repay her'.
I find it offensive for uttering such a statement, I was offended immediately but I kept my calm because we are already prepared to go out.

So when we came back I informed her that I am annoyed with what she said.

Her reply was that she did nothing wrong with such a statement because she didn't insult or belittle my mum.

I told I'm not but she decided not to apologize for that.

After two days our communication has not been normal and it only greetings.

So the next day I called and discussed it with her but still stands that she isn't wrong.

We have not been in good terms since then,

Please isn't she supposed to apologise despite that I told her I don't like the statement?
As a man of the house what do you want to do with apologies, maybe she has apologized through her actions but you kept a blind eye.

Please it's not every single action of a woman that you will take seriously or else you will crumble your home.

As a man in the house, there are a lot of things you have to tolerate.

Be careful.

The government should priotize security, more able bodied men should be recruited into the police force.

More importantly, the issue of community policing should be revisited .

We use to have highway patrol, they should bring it back, buy more patrol vehicles to patrol our highways.

Imagine, one can no longer travel on the benin-ore-Ibadan-lagos express road for fear of being kidnapped or robbed.

The government should declare an emergency on security.

Agriculture can actually put transform this nation.
Many of those old Universities were built with Money from cocoa.... most of those cocoa farms are no more....
yes, developing nation like Nigeria should priotize Agriculture to be able to feed the citizens and for exports

America has food affordability
and sustainability for her citizens despite it's growth in science and technology, which they equally employed into the Agricultural sector

As is is now, Nigeria cannot feed her citizens as there's no food sustainability let alone affordability, they prioritize unimportant sectors of the economy and neglect Agriculture.

There should be a policy trust that will make it compulsory for all the 177 local government in Nigeria to have a farm that cultvate crops,
