frankson1: I have some friends who have been casual staff for over 10 years and when I asked why they've not been absolved into the system when they're employing, they said that these same management would tell them they needed fresh and younger people because they were old.
I hope the new GCEO doesn't bend to their threats. why didn't they write the exams like others and come in properly as staff instead of coming in through connection as casual staff. |

This is the way to go! The union must ensure their members’ careers can grow instead of allowing these people bring in their friends and cronies to come and occupy top positions. |

Capability assessment will weed out the shaft. Then tell the Management to do the capability assessment and weed them out instead of appointing people from outside to take higher positions without assessment |

Bluntemperor: The Troubles With The Unions In Nigeria: •The TRUTH is that Most of the Unions - claiming rights are the Major Problems of the Oil,Banks and Other Organisations in Nigeria. In fact,Most Unions are just too far from Realities. Imagine, how they were so silent 🔕 for Decades - ----that Refineries are Bad, -That NEPA - turned DISCOS - could Not Improve Lights 🚨 ( e.g as I'm Speaking to you,for Months Freezer and Fridge are left open)-No lights in Nigeria-nor the Youths and Society, yet they Charged Members Dues and Taxed them - yet, they( Unions) don't Render Accounts On Money Collected- from Members, afterall in a Saner Clime - they( Union) Publish Accounts for All to See! -Same with NLC,as they don't even have Credible Alternatives on How To Run A Successful Nigeria, than to be an Opposition to great Ideas! What is NUPENG AND PENGASSAN Offering NIGERIANS - since Independence - same Old Stories? •1-The NNPC are the one in charge and they should run the Place Professionally - by ensuring: •2- that Nigerians feel their Positive Impacts - through Reduction of Prices- ( Nigerians should Not Pay above N600- per a litter of Petrol. •3- Ensure- that ALL the 4- Refineries - are Working and Functional- at all times. •4.More Refineries are Brought In - imagine if Dangote is bourged down by Union - Activities - hell would have been better imagine- for Many Nigerians will be lamenting today! •5.Most of the Federal and States Ministries in Nigeria,e.g Agriculture,Power,etc- are Not adding Values to Nigeria, yet they all have Unions. •6.Ensure that GAS ⛽ Prices becomes Affordable - to All Nigerians( East,West,North and South)! The Bulk Stop at the GMD of NNPC AND THE MANAGEMENT - TO SUCCEED OR FAIL Not the Unions Table. Most Unions are Deceiving NIGERIANS- Let ALL the Unions in Nigeria - Publish their Accounts - Incomes and Revenues- their Expenses, how their intinaries have been, how many Donors( Internal and External Abroad),etc.Nigerians Will Be Shocked! Kiss 😘 the TRUTH. The problem is most of you are ignorant about how things should be. You will expect the unions to solve problems you created for yourselves. The unions business is to protect the interests of their members not to solve Nigeria’s problems. That is why you have government. Go into the streets and protest, hold your government accountable and leave the unions to protect their members. |

The heap of decomposing refuse has become a great worry, an eye-saw and an embarrassment to the great people of Owerri, residents of Owerri and road users of Douglas Road Owerri.
It should be recalled that Gov. Okocha recently said he purposely left the refuse to punish Owerri people.See photos from the exercise above

My own experiences I believe were solved by the grace of GOD. The most recent I was at 100km/h so I was approaching a junction and so many cars in front, thankGOD I usually apply my brakes from along distance then I noticed it wasn't catching, the speed wasn't reducing as expected. First of all I refused to panic, then left the brake to pump by lifting my foot gradually and then pressing the brake to the end, it reduced the speed buy I had a short distance b4 me so I moved to the lane closest to the Road divider my plan was to drive into it with one side of the car ,at least my speed wasn't too high but as GOD did it since I was very close, immediately I turned my steering, the tire on the driver's side scrubbed on the cement divider and the car screeched to a halt. No single scratch on my car. I was awed at the wonders of the Almighty. His angels are ever efficient. |

How Can I Report Such Sch? Its so disappointing the way people are bashing and insulting the author of this post over a very unfair and indecent issue like this. This makes it glaring that a huge number of the comments here are from people who were beneficiaries of malpractice and yet we expect not to suffer all we are passing through in this country. We expect these old men not to continue using us? When people condole injustice shamelessly? My dear, dont join in pls. I was in your shoes some 13yrs ago so i understand. If you dont have back up evidence, then do your best. My neighbours son had five A's and 3Bs and is still at home after 2years because he couldnt replicate the same malpractice in his jamb. I know how frustrating it can be but hang on. Theyll pay if not now in the future. Im an evidence that hardwork pays so i can tell you authoritatively that u wont regret. I know the fate of those who lived on malpractice, they still live off their parents while some of us are managers of our own businesses and homes n taking care of our parents. So let go. You have a better future. |

madridguy: Bunch of hypocrites everywhere. These are the type of people that make Non-Muslim say negative things about ISLAM. How could you abandoned your people without paying their salary and you travel to Hajj while they don't have money to celebrate Eid Al-Adha with their own family.
You people just wasted your time, money and energy to the Hajj as you have failed to complied with one of the law guiding going to Hajj.
As for the people of Zamfara, you people should just manage yourself with your family as Allah Knows Best.
Happy Eid Al-Adha to everyone. Wish you same... That's y I get so tired of our Nigerian Spirituality and religion. We really need to get it right. |

Gusau—The people of Zamfara State have expressed sadness over lack of governance created by the absence of the governor, his deputy, chief judge, speaker of the House of Assembly and other principal staff in the state who had all gone on a pilgrimage to Mecca. Zamfara governor Zamfara State Governor, Abdulazeez Yari Also out of the state to the holy land is the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, and permanent secretaries. Investigation by Vanguard yesterday revealed that civil servants’ hopes of receiving their salaries to enable them prepare for the Muslim festival had been quashed b y the absence of key government figures in the state. Those who spoke to Vanguard in Gusau, expressed sadness over the situation. Vanguard also discovered that although the new state executive council is yet to be formed, permanent secretaries who had been shouldering the responsibilities of running of the affairs of their ministries, have themselves joined the train of those in the holy land. davooX: Enugu,Calabar ,Uyo,Aba, are all suburbs in need of a downtown business district.
if Calabar looked like this, then we're starting to talk about city.
Now let's assume you build a few high-rises at Ibeno beach in Akwa ibom. Ibeno has just become city.Nothing changed but the height.Unfortunately that's just how it works. thats not true pls, an area or a place is not called a city because it has beautiful buildings or skyscrapers. A city is made of people from various walks of life, cultures and origins who live dere to look for their daily bread (I.e do business), when its so the place becomes developed and busy because of the population and the diverse lifestyles. Do u know there were cities wayback in this world that were not even as developed as some villages in Nigeria yet they were called cities because of the nature of activities and varied lifestyles u find dere. maybe u know better than dose who called ph the garden city or enugu the coal city. |

davooX: Only Lagos is a city in Nigeria, the rest are either small or large towns.Abuja is the administrative district and doesn't count. Port harcourt is a densely populated Town . Most of what you call cities are are just towns and administrative districts. When people talk about cities in the 21st century ,they are talking about something like the pic below. The height of a settlement matters more than the width in determining a 21st century city. The eko atlantic built on 1000acres is more of a city than Calabar or Enugu. pls go and prepare for ur jamb and waec for next year. I dont think u r literate |
