We die the same way animals die.


Jesus used God's power to raise Lazarus up. He gave him back is life by miraculously supplying him with the spirit or breath and he healed his body. When Lazarus died, he didn't have any spirit anywhere.

The other places God then shows hell and sea and four corners of the earth and many other places can also hold souls and spirit of men

There is also a place in heaven that those who work with God are held on until when the last day comes

It's before the judgement that people would be delivered up from different places like hell (or Hades or Sheol or grave), sea, death etc
In a nutshell, dead people would be raised up and be judged and some will be sent to "the lake of fire" after judgment.

The lake of fire symbolises something else and it shouldn't be taken literally. That's another topic for another day

Hell, grave, Hades and Sheol all means the same thing. There's no fire in hell. Nothing like hell fire. Everyone goes to hell. When Jesus died, he was in hell (grave).
