I totally disagree wit d OP on dis topic. Though Aba residents may not be doing too well on this, it's d govt dat made dem so. Tell me one gud project dat T.A Orji's govt has done in Aba? The road that Orji Uzor Kalu tarred in Umule is dere to speak for itself. The Orji Uzor Kalu World Bank housing estate is also dere. So tell me d one T.A did. Imagine a governor dat fixed iron wrought pedestrian bridge @ Abia Poly is wz broadcasting dat he built a fly over. Imagine Asepa pasting a bill of #15,000 on my gate wen I tek d responsibility of disposing my own waste(of course @ illegal sites). I've neva seen any asepa vehicle near my haus before but dey knw d address to cum and paste dere bill. Orji Uzor Kalu built d Teaching hosp but T.A cant pay d doctors dere. It's very sad to note dat d doctors hav not been paid since April. That's y ppl dont wnt to do residency program and haus jobs in Absuth again. I went to visit a friend in Ukegbu in Ogbor hill ystday. I neva knew there wz anoda water side apart frm d popular one I knw because even while I wz inside d keke, dirty water entered my pants. CyberG: So, tell us something that shows you can measure up in the intellectual department not just rants. Is it obvious that ojukwu and ibos only see BETRAYAL when Chief Awolowo who had nothing to do with their war did his rightful business and responsibility but ojukwu got all his assumptions wrong (just like when you are solving a 400 level calculus problem), you will only end up in disaster with an epic F? How does Chief Awolowo's address, rallying the Western leaders of thought, laying out a plan of action way before crises hits constitute a foundation for ojukwu's decision? When Lt. Col. Banjo bought into ojukwu's plan which served the interest of the ibo against his country and people, there's no shout of betrayal. Is it only ibos (I - i before others) that can always be betrayed when anything does not go according to their selfish plans? Guys, step up your game, because this is the truth and it will be rammed down into your throats except of course someone can show the signed agreement that ojukwu sent to Chief Awolowo and they both signed. Madiebo have not even seen anything wen he said in his book that "the Federation of Nigeria as it exists today, has neva rily been one homogeneous country, for it's widely differing ppls and tribes are yet to find any basis for true unity". I advise U read gud books lyk 'And the man died' by Wole Soyinka, 'The Nigerian Revolution and The Biafran War' by Alexander Madiebo, and 'Emeka' by Fredrick Forsyth. And does it even mek much difference dat col. Banjo wz killed by firing squad under Gen. Ojukwu? The federal republic of Nigeria as it exists today has never rily been and can neva be 1 homogeneous country, for its widely differing ppls & tribes re yet to find any basis for true unity. This unfortunate yet obvious fact notwithstanding, d former colonial master had to keep d country 1, in order to effectively control his vital economic interests concentrated mainly in d more advanced and "politically unreliable" south. Thus for administration convenience Northern and southern Nigeria became amalgamated in 1914. Thereafter the only thing these ppls had in common became d name "Nigeria".
