lawland: Hi Fam
Just wondering if anyone has ever gotten a grant with Degree statement of result which usually issued before service and convocation. This is different from degree certificate issued after convocation.
Any experience? The only statement of result you can use is if it's an Aussie uni, according to Engineers Australia. If NA naija, just go and drink Fanta, and buy shoes while you wait for your convocation. But then, I faced similar issue, what did I do? I sent an email to my VC, stating some story mixed with the truth. And he directed me to go pick it. If not for the certificate delay, I for don apply 189 since. But try hard, people get cert before convocation. Just get your story right and talk to the right folks |

santity100: LOL. Reliable source, you mean one of the case officers in Pretoria ? That might false because everyone knows they will verify your documents to the least.
Simple reason for the delay is because of flooding of applications for study visa during this period. I have never seen so many people apply for Australia visa before.
Lots of Nigerians got study visas late last year and this February, this has encourage lots of applicants to submit more especially those that have been refused by Canada in the past.
Most Nigerians that got the visa during that period didn't go to the schools and most just transferred to other schools.
The pretoria office also process study visas for Nigerians and west africans living in diaspora
More Nigerians are desperate to travel abroad recently and most are seeking study route.
The same office also process study visa for other applicants from other countries, so it's a lot of work and it will take grace and quality of applications to get grants this July 2017
Bad news is that lots of applications will be denied this July 2017 and it has started happening. There are lots of reasons to refuse a study visa and the flooding by applicants won't help genuine applicants.
I will advise applicants to apply for a course that is related to their education and experience.
The purpose of study visa is for you to go and study and not PR. If you want PR, there are lots of options in skill select.
These case officers are south Africans, they are smart and they know us, you can't have a background in economics or cooking and you submitting visa application for bsc nursing.
Most people want PR, but don't tailor your study visa applications towards that line.
At least keep your intentions for PR untill you get your visa.
All the best.
Good thinking= Good product. Bros, you no lie |

I guess IT is good to go then as regards PR

hustla: Thanks for answering
I want to understand a few things
The backup plan, is it incase you're not granted PR at the end of the day?
That Aged care, it's not a path way to PR? Of course he's not going the normal Nursing, aged care way, he mentioned that to me
I thought I saw something Nursing - Aged care on one of the lists someone posted on Page 3 that it speeds up Pr (I'm Reading from the beginning)
Please clarify
God bless Back up plan regarding fees, of course you don't wanna go back home without pr, so you g@ study werin get future. Yh, if I understand what ya talking about, like enrolled nurse- aged care bla bla bla. It's just like specialising engineering into civil , mech etc. Nursing aged care, mental health, etc. That's to he beat of my knowledge sha |

hustla: You haven't answered the question. Of course nothing is easy and money doesn't grow on trees. I'm saying, with those menial jobs, will one be able to save for sch and accommodation, somewhere like NSW NSW is good. But then, it depends on the region also. I no know that side Sha. About jobs, truly you may be lucky and you may not. That's why I said, never stand still. Anything wey come, Sha de think am before you do am. If the hours are adequate and regular, your fees should be paid via the jobs. But my brother, please have a back up plan at home. And regarding IT or Nursing, your friend on the 2k course, Bros NA aged care be that o. And no pr for that, except if his long term plan is to cross to nursing . IT is dope. And has good prospects too. |

mctowel01: Lol... bro... This is half baked info bro. Generally, a bridging visa is used to remain in Australia only if the current visa is about to expire while awaiting a pending visa application outcome.
The temporary partner visa takes more than a year to process however, it costs from $A6865 for both the temporary and permanent partner visas. The fee is paid once. The permanent partner visa takes up to two years to be granted after the temporary has been granted. The circumstance that speeds up the permanent partner visa grant is if you have been married for about 3years or 2years with kids.
Do note that prior to the approval of the permanent partner visa, you are not eligible for government tuition benefits, but you can be eligible for some social security payments and Medicare enrollment (with the temporary partner visa) . cc santity100 KVickky As if we no see men wey marry and still de follow us run around to pay international student fee |
