I have sent you an email. Please can you respond... I am planning to apply fro TEaf 2020, and I will need your input to guide my biz plan.

Please do respond.

Thanks.

You still don't sound like someone who read all the rules like you claim. You're here talking of Nollywood, when it's reality dawning.

Believe whatever you want, it's your opinion. Personally, I was selected. I didn't know any godfather, I only played by the rules of the foundation; did a nice presentation of my business and prayed to God the Father.

I encourage you not to bad-mouth a scheme like TEF. Rather, buckle up, do your checks and balances, and have a bigger and better comeback next year.

Cheers!

Go through his post again and reread. He said the list released by @Neverdown is a fraction of those that scored high, not the list of all those who scored high... Meaning that some list not posted by Neverdown will contain those who scored high and we're called for the interview too...

I hope this clarifies your doubt.

Again reread his post very well and objectively.

phillip4re:
Personally, I don't believe the post by Marvel68.He claimed that list is only for those with high test scores. So, those called for interview ought to find their names there. If you are here, you didn't see your number on that list, how then did you get to the interview stage
I am not saying the leaked list is real or not,but his point, to me, is not valid..,which make me to doubt the authenticity of the information. I think Xtruzz should be of help in this.....

Everything will be alright in the end.
Fellow hopefuls, let exercise a bit more patience and civility.

Las Las, e go better for us grin shocked.

Let us always do this: While waiting for whatever the outcome of DPR is, we should at most spend time to research other opportunities daily and possibly apply. Spend time on improving on our skills, develop it and start marketing it.

Let us do something each day to draw us closer to achieving our expected goal.

PEACE.

Thank you @ Marvel65.

PATIENCE, truly is an indespensable virtue. There is a lesson for many of us to learn in this recruitment, particularly the ending stage of it.

Lesson:
1. When God is defending you, he uses a man to stand in the gap, however, because it may delay a bit, we doubt if God is really working for us... Be patient, God is working for you.

2. Do not make your judgement or conclusion, concerning a subject you are not well-informed and verifiably in know of, based on perception or emotion. In this case, seek for help to know and get information.

3. While waiting for harvest, plant more seeds, rather than being discouraged, for you know not which will bring more rewards and fruit.

God help us all.

Though not all will get in, but we pray for the best, and for it to favour us.

To many that will get in eventually, may God help you to make a good change at DPR.

I am positively hoping for the best.

Marvel65:

The successful applicants are meant to receive APLs this month. Mr. A. R. SHAKUR hasn’t given his staff the go ahead. There’s a good reason for the delay.

In the same way, He has delayed the promotion of staff to management levels. The promotion exercise which commenced November, 2017 was concluded last month. Those that passed the interview last month are still awaiting promotion.

You will hear from them soon.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by Crane1: 5:31am On Oct 27, 2018
One day, we shall know the outcome of this recruitment shocked, but in the mean time, I will strongly advise us to seek for other opportunities either job or scholarships. Let invest more of our time on researching better opportunities for us, try out GRE for US schools, and many other scholarship application that will be out from January. Let us just be planning ahead outside of DPR, while we see how this recruitment pan out cool.

It is saddening cry how the ending part of this recruitment plays out and how if truly stakeholders dominate the list of successfuls candidates in lieu of merited folks, but how much do I know to say otherwise, for I cannot authoritically say what actually happened , for I believe God that I will always get that which belongs to me, if not this but a better opportunity.

Fellow hopefuls, while it is a legitimate course to seek justice, let us thread with utmost caution. Let us not be so consumed in fighting a course we know not what is process and outcome will be, either favourably or not, as to spending much of our energy that can be invested into other productive venture for our future....

In my opinion, I would say let us wait for DPR, without so much expectation in mind and concentrate on our career development through other opportunities and means cool. Who knows if the second recruitment may favour the merited folks

We will surely reach our destination one way or the other while pursuing the right course.

Advice: Don't dissipate so much of your energy on uncertainty, but rather spend it on building a desirable sustainable future path for yourself that will meet your ends meet

Appreciate everyone's contributions here. @Marvel65, @Brocksamson, @Xtruzz, @Notindome, et al smiley

Also congratulate successful folks already working with DPR.

NO TENSION GYS.

The recruitment is not over. Some top stakeholders in Nigeria and in the Oil & Gas industry are still haveing the asurànces of some policy makers in DPR and minister that their interest must surely be protected.

The recruitment is suppose to be in 2 batches. February and November batch. February (July) batch is over and done with. There will be no new recruitment or advert for the November batch.

DPR has selected few merit/stakeholders candidates from July set to make up the November batch. The date to release APL is not certain at all.

Some people where sharing vital information about this recruitment so they have been transfered out of the head office.

Transfered gys are deff and dump about the date in which the letter will be release.

This is the time to put your patience to test.

Thank you for this information, well received.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by Crane1: 10:26pm On Oct 21, 2018
Hmm! The atmosphere here is really tensed, getting hotter by the day with divergent views.
Well, I will at this point pen down my own contribution.

Right from the beginning of this recruitment exercise, I have been following this thread till now shocked.
I am part of those interviewed and who strongly believe that I did very well in the test because, all the question are what I knew answer to, and my interview all the question I was asked, I got all with assurance. Again, my educational qualification too is a plus if it were to be used as factors in determining successful applicants, all pointing to the fact that I stand a very good chance of getting the job as a physicist/Geophysicist. But I wasn't called up in the first batch neither did I see my name in the leaked supposed merit list which hasn't been verified as genuine or not. Sorry for having need to state all those, but my reason is we all cannot tell accurately the amount of merit candidates that got in the first batch, and many more that will still get in the second list. We all cannot tell if the delay for the second list is to our advantage or not, we all cannot tell what really is going on now, we all cannot tell a lot of things that is going on now... Please I beg you, some of you can say based on your perception that right now merit list will be substituted and all that, remember it is a perceived idea and not necessarily the actual thing, well am not doubting that it can't happen, but NO ONE OF US CAN ACTUALLY TELL WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW. It May be for our good and for the sake of merit candidates and may not. The weapon we have to know that is a little bit of TIME and PATIENCE, after which any action can then be taken. I believe we need to wait a bit, at least month end or say mid- November, before any publication or media intervention comes in. Remember you cannot escalate an issue you are not very certain about it process. It is only when a food is ready that you can probe all the ingredients that makes it and fault or praise the cook.
My fellow comrade and hopefuls, let us exercise a bit of patience, we are on the verge of having the full information about this recruitment, let not hastily by our own hand bury our long hope of a better opportunity we so much put our resources in.
Last last shocked, we will know all that happened if it is fair or not, and by then action can be taken, publication can be made, and social media can be deployed, because even at then, so.much can be done to correct the anomaly because the present government wouldn't want anything to stain their reputation.
Fellow hopefuls, this is not time to publish anything about this recruitment, for the recruitment itself is pregnant and about to deliver, let wait for it delivery before any action can be taken.
My little contribution.
Let me still say, that I am still hopeful cheesy grin

Thanks @ Marvel.

This your statement is one thing I ways hold onto, even though I am out of an official job, yet I still trust God for a better one to come.
I rather concentrate on bigger opportunities, focusing on scholarship and international awards, while waiting for the outome of DPR, as I must make good use of my grade, qualifications and skills.

What will be will be, God is faithful to his own, and last last everything will be alright.

To other fellow hopefuls, just trust God and continue to intensity your search, you will surely get the best.

Sorry my fellow people, I haven't been on this thread for long. Most times I give reply and feedbacks backend to those who PM me. Now am going to share my experience.

After several months that I wrote their test, precisely last year November, in December, I got a success mail, and in January I did my documentation with them.
After several months, in August I got a call from them for an interview, they were not specific of the department am interviewing for, while I ask they told me I will get to know when I come. Well I I did the first interview and it lasted for long, well majority of the questions were based on my CV and particularly to check my person, interest, skills and fit into Deloitte culture, which I guessed it to be.
After which I got another call from Deloitte that am going to meet with a partner, I went for that too and interacted with the partner again, reechoing my interest and department I want. Well to me I think I push my interest and demonstrated it. But in the real sense I don't know what transpired in their decision making.
Last week, I then got a mail from then stating that there is an opening in the department I showed interest in, followed by many calls that I have missed, the mail this time was more detailed with the roles and responsibilities of the unit I indicated during the two intial interviews.
After I responded that I am interested, I got a follow up mail for an interview with people in the unit. This time I think it will be the real interview to discuss competency and lots more.

Although am going to have it this week, all I pray for is a success.

Will get back to feed the house after the process.

@Marvel are you saying a new list of like 200+ is ready?
No debate about who may take the slot, but can merit peeps merit the slot too?

The supplementary list, isn't it gonna be after people have rejected their offer or it will be a fresh addition to the list

In all these, what % can be the chance of a candidate with no strong backings?

Thank you for all your information and also would be delighted if you respond to all these questions.

Marvel65:
Good evening hopefuls,

- 700 slots approved for this recruitment . The remainder was allocated to the states. That led to the creation of the new list.

- The new list is ready. I advised everyone last week or two to ensure you all did everything possible to make the list but some persons doubted and misunderstood me.

- Union/ DPR management meeting was held on Thursday last week. I couldn’t follow up last week but I promise to provide details on that tomorrow or next.

- They will contact more successful applicants beyond first week of August.

- No name was substituted on the main list (400).Some EH applicants were dropped while more GT applicants were added on the existing list based on Union/DPR management agreement.

- Expect a supplementary list soon.

- To those that have received APL, make sure your documents are ready and ensure you are physically and mentally fit for this job. There will be no pity or sentiments.

Everyone should remain calm. The recruitment isn’t over.

I wish you all the best.
