[ quote author=Marvel65 post=69634257] Nice one. Just know this, DPR was given approval to recruit 700. Im sure you can do the math. The names on the current list will not be replaced. There’s a list coming up. Use everything you’ve got to get your name on the list. I won’t say more than this. Time waits no Man!!!.
@Marvel, so the meaning of this is that another list containing 100 people will be added. Ok! Will it only be for stakeholders, or can merit peeps merit the list? |

See me o, am even GT o, but am just feeling for the EH, and especially for those who had initially make the list... Well God knows everything, and HE makes everything beautiful in His sight. Hmm! This is seriously serious... So the expectant EH who are hoping to narrowly get in even when the slots cannot even be up to 3 if evenly distributed among states are to be slashed again by almost half or more... mehn! It is serious. So what will then happen to those EH whose APLs have been typed and signed? They will definitely withdraw them and another factor will be used to pick the few EH... Hmm! How will this affect the GTs, will there be an upward increase? Who will fill the void when some EHs are slashed down? Are GT gonna fill the vacuum? DPR matter just weak me... Anyways, lemme go jack for GRE, God must pick my call... This grade must count! Marvel65: 1 Like |

Thank you @ Marvel for your great contributions on this thread, and great information you have confidently ditched out. I want to ask strictly concerning the bolded, what about the silent 100 applicants that was added to pacify the SHC, what category of people are they (GT or EH)?? It seems to be silent from this post as only 400 can be accounted for, as against the 300 MC and 200 SHC that makes up 500. I hope am not shaking table Marvel65: 1 Like |

Smiles... Bros, the word "jez" used in my narratives is a short form of "just", which is to depict/potray/emphasize "patience till next week". Whether or not it answers for the situation/agitation on ground is subjective to each individuals, and it is my own opinion. I only thought you will be able to make contextual meaning from it. One out of the brilliant contributions which I logically agree with is what @ naijainstict suggested. I personally believe that if that can be considered, then we can make correct deductions about the list of successful candidates and know if truly it is not compromised. First hand information without basing our conclusions on what we heard, ensuring we take care not to prejudge the issue. If we must make a case for a peaceful protest, then we must have verifiable data to back it up, by this I mean, how do we verifiably know if the process has been hoodwinked or not? the number of people who made the list (Merit/stakeholders)? What is the timetable/procedure they (DPR) adopts in contacting the successful candidates, either merit or stakeholders (Which should be first)? and lots more, then can we make decisions. And believe me people, realistically, all what we are basing our judgement on is "what we heard" or "perceived", I stand to be corrected though. Except we have data that we can speak to, like what @naijainstict suggested, then can we make correct deductions and conclusions. In all these, by Monday till Wednesday next maximum, we should be able to unfold the truth, after which we can have something (data) to speak on and then channel all means to register any grievances/foul play/injustice that may result from the recruitment. Well this is my own thought and it is subjective. Nevertheless, I pray many of those who will make it on merit, praying for myself inclusive make a positive impact in the organisation and effect a positive change in the oil and gas sector of our nation, contributing to innovative solutions that will help us achieve much from our natural resources, including the stakeholders candidates too. Make I go face my work now... [Qquote author=Tetragramaton post=69329050] Imagine a graduate using jez? Irritating.

Dear Hopefuls, I know this stage we are in now, it is really hard for many to control their emotions, coz it is hot. But nonetheless, can we Jez wait and see what next week will bring, as even Marvel said, everything will be unfolded from next week. Yes we may say the mode of releasing APLs before it is official is wrong, but the main question is do we know why it happened that way? Do we know what they DPR even aim to achieve by doing that before officially call the merited ones. Whether it is in the best interest of the merited ones or not only by next week can we know which it is when it probably will be official. I chose to believe in what Marvel's said that merit is being valued and considered, and that it could be that they (DPR) chose to separate the timing of APLs of stakeholders from Merit, hence, reason for this current happenings ( this is Jez a thoughtful thinking o) I will sincerely advice everyone one of us to look forward to next week, I believe many will share sweet testimonies here... Even me sef don't know any person, not to talk about checking for me, but I Jez believe many people will get the job on merit. This is my believe though! It is always darkest before the dawn 4 Likes |

Hello hopefuls, a lady Jez called me now, she applied for EH, and told me her friends working at DPR said the list for GTs are pasted at the HQ office, that one should go there to check and confirm. Actually, the lady called her to know if she applied for GT so she can check on her behalf, but it was EH she applied for and the person said their is not ready yet. From the conversation, I guess the EH stuff is the cause of the delay going by what have been said earlier and now this. 1 Like |

@Marvel, thank you for choosing to share your information here. After thoroughly reading through your post, I have this conclusion about you. 1. That you are not an applicant 2. That you probably one of the HR @DPR or close to the office 3. That you probably have more information at your disposal but choose to let to the public which will not reveal much about the recruitment coz of the way you perceive people will react. BTW, how come you recognise @rolly, and describe him as legendary I sincerely appreciate your contributions here, but if you can, which I know you can, tell us what the situation is. I also want to thank the lines of Tamiwhatt, Legend90, Neverdown, Smartgrid, Ferguson, etc for their information, truly you guys av really tried for everyone here with you information... Kudos. It is true that all is set and APLs are ready, given that all our informant agree on this, but what may be also true is that each informant source may not really be in the knowing of what is the actual situation know, since they already know the recruitment stage of deciding the successful candidates is over. Maybe reason why we have diverging view from our informants. At this stage, what I think is happening is just when the King and Mr.Tata, will both agree on a date to call the shot, as in when they really want it official. Let us wait hopefuls... It will be well in the end. #Amoptimistic Marvel64: 9 Likes |

@Marvel, thank you so much for your continued effort in getting in information for us to atleast know what is happening. In one way, even those debunking have gotten one or two information(s) to make them still hope in this recruitment. Like you said, the variability of the exact date though shouldn't be our concern, but rather to pray to be among the favoured one after waiting for this long time. With the claim that merit is really considered and only few among the thousands will be considered, then it is really a tight competition, this which no one can determine his/her fate from perceived performance in both interview and aptitude test. Only favour and grace can speak for one... I pray for myself to be among the successful... What about you Marvel64: |

This act depicts maturity and taking responsibility for one's action... This is highly commendable. Your post on this thread and comportment relay how people should react to divergent views from others, no need to claim superiority, Jez stay on your on lane, while welcoming others too. Thank you once again for all your information, and particularly how you display maturity even in the midst of contrary views to yours. @Marvel, What do you see to this. First my field of study BSc.Engineeing Physics and applied for Physicist/Geophysicist position as that is the only position that applies to me. My interview goes thus and am still really baffles with it coz people have said they asked them many questions, but mine is like this... Got there and have the introductory speech. Then the next question was the technical part, asking me to tell them about principle behind boiling which I took tym to explain and got deeper, yes it is a satisfactory and direct answer, after which the man said thank you for letting them, but that he will ask me a question that is difficult too, which is the current affair part. Asked me where I was born, the particular LG, and then ask me to tell me who created the LG, with the hope that I will fail it, thank to God something just ask me to browse it on my way to the venue, so I told him the answer and he was dazed. Eventually with that response, he told me he doesn't have any questions again for, me the other person ask back question from technical part which I have answered to see if am sure of what I said, and I told him yes, ask again and told him am sure... So I then said any more questions, to which the three said no more questions for me. NB. I don't want to state what I perceived them discussing before I leave, and the other man inputting score, I perceived it is positive, although I cannot tell the real thing... But he then adviced that with my grade and everything, I should work towards engaging myself with a strong professional body, to which I told him am looking forward to joining NSE. I said this to Jez say that there could Jez be many things they the interviewer are looking at... I only Jez hope all works well for one... #Amoptimistic |

Now I get it perfectly. Thank you for the clarification, however Physicist/Geophysicist is the position advertised, no position for Geophysics, just to mention. From all you said, I don't have any issue with my course and position applied for. All is well and very optimistic of being successful. Marvel64: |

Marvel64: @ Marvel64. Please kindly help me understand how this FCC thing works. I will cite a scenario here. 1. Let say they,DPR allocated 18 slots for Physicist/Geophysics post in this recruitment, are you saying the 18 slots will be shared amongst the 6 geo-political zone, with each having three each? 2. If for example SW has 3 slots for the above position, will the highest scoring candidate in that zone who applied for the said position be considered for the post, regardless the rank of highly others from his/her state score? Or is it that the highest scoring candidates as against the slot slated for the state, determines which field is eventually picked? 3. If my no. 2 is not the case, can you please enlighten me on how it is done. Thanks as I await you comment and clarifications. |
