If I wasn't Nigerian, I'd predict a 4-2 win in favour of the Argentinians. Nigeria is sure to score, but they are even surer to concede.

But. . .  God of miracles, na my papa oh!

LMAO! I go die o. Don't know how I missed this part at first.

Just thank your stars that the guy didn't survive because he changed his mind and went to the toilet on time to send all the nasty acid down the drain.

ROFL. One day you are going to kill someone . . .

@Onyx

Music videos are easier to produce. You don't need a plot, just get a nice club, some scantily clad female dancers and a special effects guy who can change your background etc. Music video ready. Nigerian movies need intelligent scripts, intelligent continuity experts and good directors. Special effects in Nigerian movies can come later.

Yet to see a Nigerian music video with anything more than good choreography. But you are right, the quality is on the up.

P.S

I take back my comment. The site is ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!!

I just "cuiled" (sounds a bit daft) my name and found NOTHING! On google there are 100 results. Only about 10 have ANY relationship with me, but I used to feel good about it.

They have to step up their game and find more results related to me! grin
WebmastersRe: Cuil: Am Still Down With Google by crazylegs(m): 1:53pm On Jul 31, 2008
I guess it'll take them time. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think current searches also influence the indexing.

But the lack of ranking and the way they present the search results isn't as simple and straightforward as google.

Google sooo need competition.

What I like about it the most is its name. Pretty cuil.

OK I feel ancient. Queen anyone? embarassed

U2
Bon Jovi

I like particular songs more than groups. I like one of Nirvarna's songs to the point of death but can generally not stand them.

I loved this movie so much

the cast was brilliant!!

Wahlberg?? undecided, i like him though

but Dicrapio and Damon held the spot

For me, Dicrapio really impressed, he was amazing

this was his best movie so far.
LOL. "Dicrapio." Men I wan die. Thought I was the only D-crappy-o hater. I like Matt Damon but Dicaprio also surprised me. His role was more complicated, blah blah blah. And he pulled through. I think he was better in the film. Damon is always OK.

But Wahlberg was the BEST. Still using some of his lines. Mad man!
TV/MoviesRe: Your Favorite Animated Films by crazylegs(m): 5:39pm On Jul 24, 2008
Undisputed no. 1 The Incredibles
Finding Nemo
Aladin
Beauty and the Beast (I loved Gaston - madman)
Pink Panther
All the Looney tunes

Nobody seems to be mentioning Beowulf. I didn't like it all that much but the animation was really really awesome.

Has anyone seen WALL-E? Its supposed to be good.

Sisikill:
Oh I loved Who framed Roger Rabbit.

Haven't see or even heard about Arthur and The Incredibles, will check it out on Netflix.

Anyone seen Bedknobs and Broomsticks? It also Animation/Live.
Yep. I saw Bedknobs and Broomsticks as a kid, but don't remember much except that it was very much like Mary Poppins.

Currently downloading er trying to buy a ticket for the film. Should be ready for the weekend. grin and I'm sure it will be a wretched camcorder thingy, but I can't wait. I'm watching Batman begins to warm up.

Have to admit I didn't like Heath Ledger much before now, but the guy has been getting rave reviews. Don't know how much of it is sentimental though.

On the other hand I liked Bale even before I knew his name (in Emperor of the Sun). Irritated to hear that he assaulted his mum and sister or something like that. Na wa oh. Its getting harder to find people to idolise. undecided

I think he'll be a good signing. But if ManU is also interested? I don't know if Barca can compete. They've spent a lot already.

I'd like to see Villa signed and then I'm OK.

Yes you are right. I'd forgotten about Keita. But I meant a kind of mad man who terrorises people all over the field, shouts like an animal and doesn't stop running. I still remember what Edgar Davids did for Barca's morale in just one season. Gatusso is my man. But I know he won't come.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by crazylegs(m): 11:17am On Jul 15, 2008
Barca knows when to let players move on. His time in Barca has passed. I really hope the guy starts playing reasonable soccer again sha.

But what does Barca really need?

I think they need a "hard man" kind of player. Someone like Gatusso or Frings. A good replacement for Valdes would also be great.

What we don't need is Adebayor!!!

Thou shall not judge a uni by its structure but by its facilities and quality of programmes.

OAU may have the gigantic structures bequeathed to it by the great Awolowo, however UI is all about quality of programes!

I said it before and I'll say it again: UItes no dey make noise like Ife guys dey do.

Objectively speaking
The school of choice depends on what your intended course of study and the kind of life you want to live

If Aluta, ASUU strike, Beautiful campus and conducive reading environment, is your take please move to OAU
If you are interested in Parties and campus enjoyment with babes, UNILAG is the place to be
If you want old and quality professors with unending academic sessions or over stay in school with "carryovers"  UI should be your pick

for courses like
Pharmacy OAU
Medicine UI
Engineering UNILAG
On a more serious note you're basically right. We were just fooling around a bit. UI is a very serious school. When I was there I used to think we took ourselves too seriously. For Medicine, Economics, pure sciences and humanities, UI is really the best. Engineering and Law for example are much weaker areas.

I think OAU is better than Ife in Engineering. Unilag is a party school. Its not their fault. Too many distractions in lag.

Wetin be your problem your problem na? I gave you a comfortable second. Just accept it and be grateful to God. 2nd to UI is a big deal.  grin
EducationRe: Unilag vs OAU-Ife vs UI? by crazylegs(m): 12:04pm On Jul 02, 2008
I'm trying to decide between OAU and Unilag. I'll go for OAU. It has much more of an academic atmosphere. Unilag was mainly about parties and chics. Besides it has one of the most beautiful campuses.

But that was for second place. UI is obviously and by far the first and the best.

Fairplay dude! Well said.

It was a great final. Finals often end up as cramped and tense affairs but the Spaniards were totally fluid. Torres also scored the most important goal of the tournament. Some kudos to him.

But Xavi is still my man of the tourney. Mr. Consistency. Senna is a close second.

SportsRe: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by crazylegs(m): 11:26am On Jun 27, 2008
@hustler
Torres has a lot to prove. When he is well-marked (Spain-Italy por ejemplo) he doesn't quite make the cut.

At Atletico he was widely known to be a great player but Spanish defences had his number. Like you implicitly said, the EPL was taken by surprise. Torres is going to have a much more difficult 2nd season.

Don't get me wrong. I think Torres is a great player and I rate him highly but he has had an indifferent tournament. A world-class striker whose main talking point  is the distraction of defenders has not fulfilled his role. Thats a role for Dirk Kuyt and his likes not the great Fernando Torres.

Torres has to score goals against European defences that mark him tightly otherwise he'll just be a good team player. He can and should be a lot more.
SportsRe: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by crazylegs(m): 10:08am On Jun 27, 2008
Agreed. Torres is a good team player, but then so is Dirk Kuyt.

Torres is playing OK but he's not living up to the hype and the expectations people have of him. He was supposed to be the star man but has only scored one goal. Much more was expected of him. He should score more goals instead of distracting defenders.

But I think he'll have a better chance against Germany. He's a stronger and more physical player than the other Spaniards and they'll need his muscle.
EducationRe: Bank Phb / Skye Bank Education Loan by crazylegs(m): 10:01am On Jun 27, 2008
@Incagold
Thanks for breaking it down. Yeah I guessed it couldn't be 17% monthly but was too lazy to do the math.

Its clearly a loan for a masters programme. The interest rate is quite high for an educational loan but interest rates in Nigeria are generally too high. angry Its a high risk business.

But for a masters it OK in our current situation. Many people who thought it impossible to study abroad can make it now, maybe after a year or two of work and saving a lot. It will definitely be worth it when you come back and start enjoying a major salary boost.
SportsRe: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by crazylegs(m): 9:30am On Jun 27, 2008
Spain was brilliant yesterday. Fabregas was the deciding factor. The revelation for me was that Fabregas and Xavi can play in the same team without conflicts.

Villa's injury was a blessing in disguise. Spain is finally going to play 4-5-1: Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Silva and Senna all backing Torres up. Mouthwatering. The Germans are going to be absolutely buried in midfield. They won't know what hit them. There can be only one winner and its Spain. No doubt.

Torres has a last chance at salvation. The bobo has been a bit disappointing oh.
EducationRe: Bank Phb / Skye Bank Education Loan by crazylegs(m): 3:33pm On Jun 25, 2008

What do they mean by monthly? Is the 17% interest compounded monthly? If so its more than slavery. Its slavery and murder.

I fully understand about the collateral though. You can't trace anyone in Nigeria.
LiteratureRe: Where Do I Get Isbn In Nigeria by crazylegs(m): 3:26pm On Jun 25, 2008
Depends on where you are.

You can get it in the National Library of Nigeria Hq, Sanusi Dantata Building, Central Business District, PMB 1, Garki GPO 900001, Abuja, Nigeria; or the State Library Board in other states. You'll have to go with about 3 copies of the manuscript and pay some money.

Good luck.

She opened her eyes at 6am, the same time she always does. Her curtains were open, she liked to wake up with the sunshine on her face, not today though, it was raining outside. Pushing aside the covers, she got out of bed and headed for the bathroom, stripping along the way. As she stood there under the hot shower, she felt her body slowly awaken. A few minutes later she was dressed and ready to go. Grabbing her thermos from the kitchen, she walked out of the door.  Within the next hour, she would kill 3 men. . . . .
**shivering.** I hope its only a story.
