Politics / Re: President Buhari Nearly Falls Again At Kaduna APC Rally by Creamz(m): 12:02am On Jan 20, 2019
Buhari should be allowed to rest. Those urging him on really don't like the man. They are just after getting power through him. His good days are well spent, and he has little or nothing to offer Nigeria and Nigerians at this time. I really hope Nigerians vote based on issues like Unemployment that has gone from 8% to 23% the high cost of living and things like that. We as Nigerians should wake up and smell the coffee. The country we all love is taking backward steps everyday under this present government.

Yeah, every interest rate is on a per annum basis. So if you don't do a 364 day investment, you shouldn't calculate on the interest rate proposed to you.

That's the main mistake many people make in short mid term investments like this.

I almost felt I was ripped off been the first time for me. Thanks everyone for the explanations.

Your interest is on point, you guys should learn how to calculate this % things b4 u give someone heart attack here or u go blow ur acc officer, lol. On a lighter note. Was thinking that they probably huke u down on a fixed deposit unknown to u, but after calculating ur investments, you are good to go. Take care

When I called the bank, I was told that the interest for 364 days tenor is 13.1% so because I invested for 182 days tenor, it had to be half of the interest for the 364 days making it 6.55%

Why did Atiku go with Saraki under the cover of legislative diplomatic immunity? Why was he constantly looking behind his back? Why does Saraki have to be there? Why did atiefku go when the USA government has a shutdown? I am ashamed on his behalf...let him go in his personal capacity as a private citizen....nonsense.....

Everything you wrote is complete garbage . Why don't you put on your thinking cap before typing all of this? Any sane man wouldn't reinforce failure. Buhari has failed Nigerians, and he needs to be shown the way out. Look at the events of the past few days from the chat on NTA to calling Ogboru the Presidential candidate in Delta, is that not an indication well enough for you to know that the president needs to go home and rest. I just hope some of you just put sentiments aside and vote for the real issues of Jobs, unemployment, and the economy.

it's correct bro.

That 13.1% is for 364 days but you invested for 182 days which is half of 364 days so, your interest would be divided by 2.

Thanks bro. I really appreciate you explanations.

Kindly quote amount you invested and the supposed upfront interest you got as well.

My mind is telling me you did not do your calculation properly.

If the tenor is 91 days, then the interest you got is correct.

I did 182 days with Zenith Bank the interest I got was 6.6% do you think that is the correct interest for 182 days?

the 11% is for a year. You did for half year so you'll get half interest.

I will continue to remind all that CBN has learned from the last high interest rate and is better prepared now for speculators. The longer you wait for the 18%, the more you loose money by keeping your funds idle. It will be more painful if while waiting for 18%, rates start to drop after the election. I think if you get a 15% now, pls lock it. When it comes to money, it is a seed and every day counts.

I need some clarifications on this T-bills if you can help. I bought some treasury bills for this 14/1/2019 and I opted for the 182 days duration. This been my first time, I am a bit confused. The rate I saw from the CBN is 11% but when I calculated the percentage I got from my bank when the money was collected it was 6.6% now my question is, is this how it works or the bank is just trying to reap me off?

The Senate. The third arm of government. I wasn't the one who made the law. They need two third of the Senate to remove the CJN as the Senate president and as the President of the FGN

Even after the accused accepts his own wrong doing?

With your mentality, Nigeria has no future

It's not about him accepting. It's about due process been followed. He is supposed to be first brought before the NJC who makes recommendation to the president who in turn forwards it to the Senate to get a two third majority to remove him as the CJN. THAT'S THE LAW. Only the Senate can remove him

That this Lifeless animal is an option for 2019, shows how sick some Nigerians are.

Doesn't just show that some Nigerians are sick, it shows that some Nigerians are truly brain dead. How Buhari can be a choice amongst 180 million Nigerians really baffles me. I really wish Nigerians open their eyes and heart to reality and closes it against ethnicity and religion. Ethnicity isn't going to put food on the table, neither would religion. Only a competent hand can take this country forward and to be truthful, that's not a characteristic of the current president.

Headless chickens! Didnt PDP destroy the country in 16years?
does it mean APC should destroy it some more? Moreover, PDP is a party comprised of people. The name isn't corrupt it was the people in the party that made it corrupt and most of those people can now be found in APC today! So APC shouldn't think they are in anyway better than PDP. IF ANYTHING THEY ARE EVEN WORSE!

A country where rule of law continues to take the back sit isn't a country said to be fighting corruption. Corruption isn't only stealing money. When there is abuse of power that is also corruption. A Case were he has been discharged and acquitted almost over 10years ago shouldn't have brought back because he was discharged and acquitted by a competent court of the land

The likes of you are so myopic that you just want fish today and stretch out your hand again for the next meal. If that was used to solve a sector of the economy, the people will save more than that 10k been handed out. Nigerians need to think beyond stomach infrastructure

This is not about him using the security agencies to win in 2014. Our democracy is suppose to be advancing. It was wrong for him to use it then, and it is wrong for the current administration to use it now. Two wrongs don't make a right. We the people of this country deserve better. Not until we stop this backward mentality of he did it to me so i must do it back, we would continually be a nation of one step forward two steps backward.
