Romance / Re: Checking Her Phone Has Cost Us Our Beautiful Relationship by Creamz(m): 3:27pm On Feb 20, 2020
No matter how much you love the girl please leave her. She isn't the one for you. If you continue with her you might have heart problems from lack of trust. Find someone you are comfortable with. Someone who is responsible and not this girl you call your girlfriend. She probably is the girlfriend to 3 other people. You going through her phone and telling her. She will learn to clear her chats and browsing history before coming to meet you. JUST MOVE ON

Nigeria is getting worse every passing minute. Our leaders are stealing, our people are looking and those meant to protect us are killing. Who will save us from this quagmire we have found ourselves in?? Who will give us the voice that we have lost? We can only redeem ourselves with a collective resolve as Nigerians before we are all 6ft under. Today's survivors are tomorrow victims. Open your mouth wide and wail because a child beaten is permitted to cry. THINGS ARE NOT WORKING

Politics / Re: 8 Ways We Can Reduce Poverty In Nigeria. Do You Agree? by Creamz(m): 12:48pm On Feb 11, 2020
DevelopNaija:
I sent the picture below to my friend and she responded 'AMEN'. I had to remind her that this is not a prophecy but a goal that needs actions to become a reality.

#Poverty will drastically reduce if the following are done.

1. Change our mindset
2. Increase Minimum Wage.
3.Cut down public officers' salaries and allowances.
4. Gain 21st Century skills.
5. Provision of well paying jobs
6. Smart solutions for electricity and Water problem
7. Stop being greedy, selfish and self-centered.
8. Minding one's business

What other ways can we reduce poverty for ourselves and others? Any suggestions?

Number one on your list should be TACKLING INSECURITY. without security no investor will be willing to bring funds to Nigeria. 2 EDUCATION! Proper education will see people reason differently and gain the necessary skill to achieve success. 3 ELECTRICITY. With constant electricity, the profit returns of companies will increase so they have more money to either increase salaries or reduce cost of goods which will make your salary worth more because inflation will reduce. Every other thing you stated above is equally valid

Politics / Re: Shehu Sani: Why We Rejected Buhari’s $30bn Loan Request by Creamz(m): 4:52pm On Nov 29, 2019
Eteka1:
The loan is meant for major infrastructural development like roads, power, rail, bridges etc. There is nothing wrong in that. Nigeria's debt to GDP ratio is one of the lowest in the world at 30.05%.

There is nothing wrong in borrowing. However, we have to be cautious with the way we go about it. Nigerians need to know the exact projects that the funds we wants to borrow will be used for. The exact amount for each projects, the people meant to handle those projects, the time it will take for those projects to bail itself out from the loan. We shouldn't just borrow because our debt to GDP ratio is low. We need to borrow because we have planned. We shouldn't also forget that corruption is a major problem in Nigeria and not so much in those country that borrows to fund infrastructural development. Remember not long ago 10billion was approved for a certain GOVERNOR for "election".

Are you telling me that Sun news did not cover the just concluded Kogi election ? Or probably their journalists are still having election fatigue.

Trophies alone doesn't make a club a "top club" Arsenal is on the 10th spot in the world ranking of top clubs with 88 points while Madrid is 1st with 184points. I am sure you know there are more than 200 football clubs in Europe alone. So been 10th means you are amongst the top clubs!

So sad that things like this are allowed to happen in our country. Shutting down the terminal will cause unemployment in a country where unemployment is already at an astronomical level. We sacrifice a lot in this country on the altar of politics. This is totally wrong! We need strong institutions and not strong people. This is clearly the hand of a strong man/woman behind the scene.

I think fashola is making a great point there imagine the amount of money states like Ogun, Delta and Rivers State are claiming to have spent on federal roads which i know they didn't.

What are you even talking about? We Nigerians act as if we are not the users of these roads. You mean the state governments should have left the federal roads within their domain so that people would be locked in traffic because of negligence of the federal government? If the money spent by the state government on these roads are too much, then the federal government should be up and doing so the states doesn't have to do the federal roads themselves.

Chai, Nigerian politicians know how to play into Nigerians emotions !!!

if you know politicians really well, after winning an election, the next thing in their mind is planning to win the next election ahead. So all the work they intend to do for Nigerians is for them to be able to reposition themselves better for the next election ahead

That's a myth

Virtually every disco's half of installed meters are tampered with or bypassed.

It's not about meters, most Nigerians think electricity is a birthright and hate paying for it.

This is somewhat true. But there should be some sort of way they make it work. Maybe putting the meters on the electric pole or manufacturing advanced meters that can't be bypassed.
