What was Thing(s) did you spend your money on this year and, later realise it was not worth it? Me: I ordered a smart "sports watch" online. When it arrived, I realised it was not working. Couldn't charge, couldn't use it. Couldn't return it, because I was in transit on a trip. |

It is the influence of colonialism. Believing that the "colonial fathers" are better than the Africans. Such influences caused our grandparents to give their children foreign names. E.g: Johnbull, Clinton, Princewill, Macintosh, etc Lately, the influence of religion. Adherents want to bear the "name" that works for them. Anger management is not cheap to imbibe. The landlord may invoke the terms of the lease agreement and ask her to "put the property in it's original physical state" , then she will know if her Caution Fee will cover the damage she caused. The safest thing would have been to take the landlord to the appropriate authorities. Court, Mediation Centre, Landlords Association, or even the community leaders. |

Though I don't support godfatherism, but that is the nature of Nigerian politics. An outgoing governor imposing a "stodge" to cover him up when he leaves office. However, less than 10% of "installed governors" successfully fight off their fathers. The reason is: he who knows your secrets will one day use it against you. |
