HenryDion:no sir, it takes a ready people to change. How do you unchain people who are not even aware of the chains? How do you tell Nigerians that they deserve better when all they want to do is prove that they can survive the worst situation? Look around you, our culture is not one to seek better lives but to tell others how strong we are by adapting. We don't need 24/7 power supply, we actually need poor power supply to boast our morale. We need higher fuel and food prices to show how strong we are. Nigerians are lazy and that's the truth. In any nation where there's a change in policy, the question is not how do we adapt, the question is always how do we make them change this policy or better still, how do we make them augment? But not Nigeria, in Nigeria it's the more lazy approach of how do I suffer more to accommodate the changes? |
All I see is an attention seeker |
Look at Nigerians adapting as usual. How do we get a better country if all we do is adapt to suffering. No one talked about protesting the policy. We have all resigned. Nigerians are lazy not hardworking. We would rather flow with the tides than fight it. That's laziness. |
JustStupidity:Does anything justify taking the laws into your hands and killing another person? |
You don't respect yourself and privacy as much as Temi does hers. That's the simplest reason. Why I dey even waste my time sha. Rich man shidren dey catch cruise poor man pikin nor suppose dey follow o |
floss:comrade you no go drop Mike before dem troway bomb eh |
Bring money let me pray for God's blessing on you That was embarrassing to watch. He should have threatened them with no heaven or prosperity long before asking. That always work. |
cafolu:we know she had no medical condition because she clearly stated her reasons. Stop asking boring questions |
She's pretty. |
jaxxy:our woke brethren will do social distancing with this question ![]() |
cafolu:lolz I see your point but my calling a child a surrogate baby is not derogatory or meant to be demeaning. When you have black and white, you don't call the black white in order to bring it to par with the white, you call it black to help differentiate and make your point. My calling the child a surrogate baby is only in that aspect and not in any of the way you are seeking to narrate it. Secondly, I'm not an expert in anything and I don't need to be an expert when I see selfishness. Do you need to be an expert to warn AS and AS couple who chooses to marry and give birth? Do you need to be an expert to tell them that regardless of their reasons, that one of their child will suffer and live a life if misery because of their actions? Of course they have their reasons for wanting to give birth, but that reason will not prevent the consequences. As a loving parent, your first goal is to clear the way and make your child as safe and comfortable as possible. That's why people say 'they need a conducive and safe environments' for their kids. Her choice of choosing surrogacy is not bad for her. She gets all her desires met. She will be happy and that's beautiful. But What about the child, do you care about her own happiness? No matter how we try to polish it, she will still grow in a society that's hostile to her. As a parent, wouldn't you rather have prevented that? Ini can weather the storm of 'what people will say' but why what about the child? And if peradventure, the child is strong and can weather the storm, it still begs to ask the question, why even put the child through it in the first place? Personally, I don't give a cent about Ini Edo, my thoughts and speculations are only about the child and the effects this could have on her. And yes, if Ini Edo shared her news online, she shouldn't expect people not to comment about it whether good or bad. You can't go and talk your business in the market square and turn around and say people are mocking you. |
So many Nigerians are scared to comment to avoid the wrath of God. |
Farfalla:lolz. All I see is self, self, self and more selfs. It's not bad to desire motherhood but raising a child as your source of happiness is bad. It's not bad to bring forth a child but bringing that child forth when you know the preventable challenges the child will face but instead of preventing such, you still go ahead to bring that child forth is wickedness. AS and AS parents will love to experience parenthood but we tell them no, not because we are miserable but because we care about the happiness of the kids as well. Same with Ini. One day that child will be the only one in her group without a father. (not knowing her father is something the society can easily understand, not having a father is an issue Nigeria is not yet ready for.) Can Ini bear the fallout and the consequences, yes she can. Is it right to put the innocent kid through the same? I'd leave that to you. But personally, I know I won't go through such routes, at least not for now. You have to understand that there are two parties in this case, one making the decision and both bearing the consequences of such decisions. That's not love but selfishness. |
Asking buhari to fight Boko Haram is like asking a pastor to tell his members not to pray. Buhari will not fight Allah for you or me. Stop wasting your expectations |
Lolz, You've failed to talk about corporate dressing. We use 364 days to force students to wear western dress as the best option while looking down on our cultural attire and then for 1 day in a year, we ask them to put on cultural dress and complain bitterly about how our culture is dying. Not speaking English properly is seen as a lack of education. But in that aspect it is not our fault, Nigeria is multi-tribal, we can't pick a random language without the other tribe suspecting that the other is trying to dominate them and we can't enforce everyone to learn in his own language. That would lead to more waste of resources. So it's actually better we learn in English. And for the other courses, they are necessary. Take zoo for instance, it not only help in maintaining the zoo but raising better animals, as well as better meat processing practice. You don't need a political science degree to be a politician but you surely will do better in politics if you have compete political scientist running the background process for you. But because we tend to cut corners in the country, we employ illiterates in politics who only see rigging as the only option to win elections. By all means political science is a necessity so are all the other courses in their small behind the scene way. Same way you feel like making movies should only require a camera man and the actors but over 5,000 professionals often come together to make a single Hollywood movies, reasons why you'll always prefer their quality to that of Nollywood. Same with countries where qualifications take the lead before everything else. The problem is not education but the people. |
The matrix. The idea redefined my perception. So bad they are goin to kill the narrative in the new episode. Nigeria movies. Wether we like them or not, they taught us to suspect old women as witch, Christianity as superior and how Bible can defend against evil. |
irunoko:I think you are lying. You ever wondered why CCTV though capable of audio recording don't utilize the audio feature? It's because it's illegal to record conversation of people. It's called eavesdropping, an offense punishable under the law of any country. Like I said, on the speculation side I think you may be lying. And no one watch cctv recording every time except an issue pops up. If we start even analyzing the psychological aspects of kids knowing their talks and actions are being monitored 24/7, then that's a whole lot of other issues. Let's be realistic please. And should we talk about the time line of your schooling and the evolution and acceptance of cctv in public spaces in Nigeria? |
irunoko:all you said is reaffirmation of what I said. You only catch a bully when the bullied report him. A lot of kids don't report bullies especially male kids. It takes special care for parents and teachers to find out that a kid is been bullied and this is mostly when it becomes physical. But emotional bullying? Please |
Farfalla:of course everyone with an opposing views is miserable. Who the heck gave y'all this type of reasoning? Her child will bring her happiness, OK. But what about the child herself? Does anyone take her happiness into account? Like you, Ini's reason for wanting surrogate is superficial and self-centered. It wasn't about the child but herself. But hey, it's us who are miserable. At least we are not birthing babies so they can give us happiness |
Xfemt:this is what I've been saying. It's all about her. Not the baby. She doesn't want a husband but what if her child need a father figure? It'll all be happy and pretty until the child start seeing her peers. I just hope she could bear knowing how she was conceived and maybe africa have grown to accepting the science more by that time. Technology is good. But timing is also important. |
irunoko:There are no effective anti bullying policies anywhere. The punished bully is a reported bully. The reported bully is less than 1 in 10 bullies |
DuBLINGreenb:I don't know why you chose idoma people but on behalf of every idoma persons, we are not fulani and the highest proportion of the idoma people do not understand the language of the fulani people. Fulani are not close to us because they DO NOT HAVE LAND IN NIGERIA. We are close to the hausas, the host on which the parasitic fulani are using to destroy this country. |
Ogaga87:five bottle of cold origin for you. Some women get paid abroad to bear the children of homosexuals. These are not considered baby factory because it fits the narrative. Let a woman get pregnant and sell the baby and it's a crime. What really are we as a species doing? |
Her reasons for wanting surrogate baby is so flimsy and selfish. She talks as if it's every marriage that are fighting on public forum. Besides, does she take her daughters feeling into the equation? It's all about herself in this case |
Bonesbreaker:he's not in Nigeria. That girl is ready to divorce the op and collect all his property as well monthly allowance. Op probably married a career babymama. |
Don't y'all know that Allah will punish Buhari if he fight his fighters? Buhari will not fight ISWAP or Boko Haram because they are fighting for Allah who can deny Buhari his 7 virgins after death. The ![]()
