Today I will be courageous enough not to let opportunity pass me by; my only alternative will be to succeed.
Today I will invest my most valuable resource, my time, into my most important possession, the life God has given me.
I'll spend each minute purposefully, making today a unique opportunity. I'll tackle each obstacle knowing that with God's help I can overcome it.
Today I will resist doubt and pessimism and warm my world with a smile. I'll maintain a strong faith, expect nothing but the best, take time to be happy, see every task as an opportunity to honour the Lord, and endeavour to leave His footprints on the hearts of those I meet.' John Boykin wrote, 'Time is your life-nothing more, nothing less. The way you spend your hours and your days, is the way you spend your life.' So pray, 'Lord, help me to maximise this day.'

Cuddlemii: Abeg, no swear for me!
All I have to do is avoid a self-centered, dictatorial man.
No one is against discipline but there is a limit! Its like an infringement of human right. You might as well lock your wives in a cave. Rubbish!

queensmith: I definitely have to be more grateful, females earning 70p for every pound is really no comparison to what women are going through in Nigeria. What I experienced at a church in lagos will be classified as assault and harassment in this country.

Meanwhile- men still think they are in a position to dictate to women how they should conduct themselves in the 21st century. They still assume superiority and treat their women like inferior beings, while the women just sit and take it. Well. . . it is a step forward from slavery.
Babes, I have been meaning to ask you this question. Are you willing to marry a white man? I see you don't take shit when it comes to naija men at all.
RomanceRe: Ladies Can You Marry A Disabled Man For Love? (Pictures) by Cuddlemii: 4:07pm On Aug 13, 2012
Money this! Money that!

Has it occurred to anyone that the man is very good looking facially. The lady might be attracted to his eyes, lips, skin and flat belly.

The man might be skilled in the craft of bedmatics. Being disabled might mean he would introduce some new/few tricks & tips to the bedroom (the woman might not have experienced something so tender & soothing in her life)

Its obviously different from what she is used to, she might like the adventure. Or you think men that are able are considerate to women romantically? Anything can trigger the union between them like closure, stability & consistency. The man might be deep, emotional & caring.

maclatunji: I am not going to answer this, create another thread. Answer my questions. tongue
I am so shocked by your thread that I don't know what to say.

It scares me that after the education, love, commitment & hard work, I will still end up in a dictatorial union called marriage. In fact, your thread makes me weep. The rules keep getting worse! Its like being in Kikiri prison, the only advantage is that you get a man to warm your bed!

What are men cooking up next? Wives should not own/use camera phones? No wonder the divorce rate is high these days! This mentality has got to change!
Men have got to realize that women are not dolls/puppets/robots to be toiled around with or tweaked unnecessarily. Women are human beings/adults with their own feelings, needs, wants, desires, decisions, mistakes & ideologies.

Cuddlemii: Can I ask you a question? If you are on vacation with your wife in a foreign land, can she wear bikini/swimming costume/swimsuit on the beach? Or you would rather have her wear iro & buba/bubu under the scotching sun or freezing weather? Can she wear shorts?
FamilyRe: Married Woman Displaying Pictures On Social-Media: Wrong? by Cuddlemii: 3:09pm On Aug 13, 2012
maclatunji: Who is she trying to impress? I ask because obviously men will admire them and being married, one would think she understands that she shouldn't do anything that will make other men who are not her husband well... "hit on her". What are your thoughts?

Tgirl4real: So, here is the question (for those of you that have some time on your hands like me), are women truly attracted to such a character as Sagamite cos of his intelligence?

Are you ladies turned on when he displays his "intelligence" on here?

Can you marry a man like Sagamite considering the way he argues n his neva "say die" character?

I didn't form this o, they are his claims. I told him once that he should date someone his size. Could be the gals are not smart enough to put forth a logical argument with him. hehehehe... grin

This is not an indictment on your character o . . .just having fun
Hell no!
LiteratureRe: ANCIENT&CONTEMPORARY AFRICAN ART (artists, art Students, art Lovers And Collector by Cuddlemii: 7:10am On Aug 13, 2012
newacca: I am sorry for discussing this subject on the LITERATURE/WRITING thread. I have searched everywhere on this forum and I cannot find any thread for Arts and Craft. Though Fashion,Culture,Entertainment,Culinary and writing are kinds of arts;yet I am not satisfied that the main source of Art is not gaining any attention on this forum and I have not seen any new thread for Art on its own.
In my own opinion,I believe ARTS&CRAFT should have its own thread to create more awareness and attention for contemporary African art.
I have a thought that Art is life and I have gained more followers in my school of thought on this view. They agree with me that there is more to art than drawing, painting, printing, carving etc. Art tells stories of human, nature, animals and society. Art identifies the challenges of our world and through art comes the solutions. Art preaches peace and unite the world irrespective of race, background, culture and history. Art is a source of life. Art is life.
Everybody is gifted! I hereby challenge inspiring Nigerian talents to come out and showcase the beauty of African arts and culture. I want utilize this medium to showcase some of my works, though I am not a trained Artist. I grew up to have natural flair for Art. I started from drawing Aeroplanes,Comics,Tree in my early stage of life and I continued a while when I finished my secondary school education but I deviated into other career while getting into the higher institution,no regret though.
Each and everyday of my life, something in me would not let me rest. Art keeps coming to mind like someone is punching hard on my head. I got no alternative than to submit to nature. I am calling on my African talents that share same dream to come and let's unite to live our dreams.
Let us discuss issues on
*Fine Art: Drawing,Painting,Sculpture,Printing,Cartoon,Comics etc

*Decorative Art

* Visual Art

* Applied Art etc

I will attach a copy of some drawings I made some years back. I am looking forward to suggestions, criticism and commendations.
Please carry on, I love it!

You are displaying it on the right section. Literary/writing doesn't revolve around write-ups alone.
Art is a major part of it as well, they are inter-woven. Telling stories in pictures is also related to it. This was part of the things I suggested some months back------->

PICTURE STORIES- Tell your story with pictures, drawings (abstract or real life), cartoons, graffiti, collages, comics, paintings etc. You can use paint on your PC, you can scan or get an electronic copy of your work and paste it online. It can be story or expression of heartbreak, love, anger etc. Just a literary expression in pictures or fine arts.
