justwise: Please don't even go there, discussion on Indian club is related to jobs people do in the UK, working as a bouncer or security job was part of it, the personal attack you and other engaged in was the issue.Whatever! |
In response to your question, here's my own story so your 2million becomes 1.9million . Completed my Secondary Education in Nigeria, came over to the UK for my degrees, by Gods special grace, got my first degree, (BEng, Hons) and Masters (MEng). Degree was paid for by Parents, through science research scholarship, pay from work I did on behalf of University faculty while working as a student representative. Applied for jobs with very few companies, got a graduate job with a Multinational Aerospace company one month after graduation. 18 months after, left the company for another multinational Aerospace company, managing multi-million pounds project cutting across Europe, US, China, India, Russia, etc. With exposure to high profile caliber professionals and global experts! God has been faithful and His grace has being abundant for me ![]() While the story might be sweet to tell today, I know it did not all happen by my effort! I am a believer in God and an ardent respect for the common laws, and also hard working. I could remember when some Nigerians in the UK then were fleecing banks thinking they were smarter, and I completely held on to my faith in God. But today, when I meet some of them they ask, how did you even manage to get this job and pass the stringent level of security attached to it? Well my answer to them and to others planning of coming to the UK is this: Do what is right in the eyes of the UK laws and be honest with people. I will say this: All the Nigerians that were in these same set with me in my faculty in University have remained in the UK and guess what, they are all working for multi-nationals in UK, Australia, US and other parts of Europe. ....And lastly, I know I am a good ambassador of Nigeria as I have made the country and humanity proud and I will continue to do that. And to others going through the challenge of getting a job, or those studying and hoping to get a job in some of these multi-national companies, do your best to be the best amongst your peers in university and keep your records clean!
This is what I am talking about! I learned a thing or two from your post. Thanks Omo! |
sisieko2001: OMG! |
HiiiPower: Unlike you and your ilks, I can talk about clubs (based on the discourse at the time)Add being a grown up man with balls to your to-do list. Any man that digs up a lady's profile to attack her is a lesser man or serial self-servicer. Better toughen up for the real world, "block head". Please wikipedia is always an available resource to learn about the Uk beyond the night life. |
mkmyers45: You abadoning me? Thinking of who to ask in..should do that from tommorow..or do you have any ideas? No I am not. I will try my best for you. I will look around & suggest someone to help u out |

English language was the never the idea behind this thread. This thread was to educate people about the UK educational system and jobs. Tell me, what would your club analysis do for an average man that wants a big break in the UK? What would a struggling village man make out of clubs in Bradford or Hull? My english is half-baked, right? Let my tutors & professors worry about that! Try improving your brain beyond the social scene/circuit cos its evident that you are a block head. Instead of you to educate people about the opportunities in the Uk, how to survive and what to expect, you are bothered about the club arena like that would feed the masses. I see your ego is bruised, u dnt need to hype or brag! Let people tag you as relevant! Na only my profile you check? You for request a background search, Rubbish! Please let willing members educate themselves, I won't reply you again! |
mkmyers45: Yepa..na you carry all that title? na multifunctionate you be? I have a lot of good things in mind for nairaland writers although im more of a poetry guy...Ok finish with the project you have at hand first. You do know it would be stressful considering u r doing it all alone? |
HiiiPower: I know your type, and how you always want to sound intelligent;Sound intelligent to whom? you? Someone who hasn't analyzed anything sensible beyond the walls of a club/bar. The scope of your knowledge is limited thats y u dance arnd the comfort of a bar like this is some e-brochure for night clubs why not challenge yourself to discuss a wider scope of the nigerian economy/job market & Uk economy as other sensible members started. Put me where, on a faceless forum? You must think u have some clout! E-lord! Rubbish! |
mkmyers45: ok, you write often?No, I am more of a planner/organizer/initiator/instigator/hostess/? ![]() |
mkmyers45: Let it run till then..we may then ask for them to post what they mailed for cross reference...at the end we will still uphold fairness..some writers are worried plagarism and i think re-posting on that day and letting it run alongside the Poll will help avoid that..Alright let them know the email they r sending it to, ok? |
HiiiPower: cuddle yourself and go to bed.If I give u a reassuring slap that would land u in an exclusive bar with dead bodies you would know. |
mkmyers45: the ymail is whats on the thread.. Maybe i should get the prizes to you when the entries close or something..fair?Why don't they just display their write-up on the thread on the d-day? |
mkmyers45: If there's someone who wants to why not? Probably a known Nairalander to spice it up...How are you? What confirmation is there that u r legit. If u screw with my member's mind imma kill u. I am fine. What email are we using? |
mkmyers45: Ok...DoneYep, a free chat thread, it has not been used. Anyways what is ur plan? Dnt u think u should add one more member to help u oversee/plan things? |
What was the initial purpose of this thread? I thought we were all learning till all these men started discussing clubs. Like seriously, is that what men spend their time & money doing over there? Please stick to the topic so we can see how to utilize resources, maximize potential and become successful. MODs derailing! R2bees, if na another person dey yarn opata for ur thread na to hide post. smh |
mkmyers45: What do you think about us setting 28th of this month as deadline since we have willing contestants?28th of this month is fine. We still have a lot of time to work with |
mkmyers45: Should we reduce the contest time to end this month?Lets talk here -------->https://www.nairaland.com/1003848/literature-writing-sections-chat-central This is a complaints thread! |
obowunmi: Who cares what her age is...the important thing is that she doesn't feel pressured to marry a man she does not care about.Obowunmi would you date the op? I see love here, I don't know if its my eyes but its definately something worth exploring. I like the way you type those words to her, you sound so passionate like you want bebe . Here is a bebe4u! |
1) My mum- has supported me all my life and taught me how to be a successful/resourceful woman that men would respect. She taught me independence and dependence on her alone. My mom is my role model even at her age, she still wakes up early in the morning to go to work to provide for her household. She is a woman I emulate & live by her legacy & integrity. 2) God/Jesus- Whether you like it or not, he is present and makes things work out for you. He points your mind/focus to the right path. 3) Inner Determination/Ambition/Strength(Independence & female empowerment)- I have always had the fighting go-getter feminism spirit that tells me where am headed and how to get there. I have been focused since my childhood and looked straight ahead at my destination never bothered about my obstacles & shortcoming. Oh boy, I fought my way through and would have fought even harder to get my dreams. |
mikuz: Cuddlemii have you started again? No this is one is not my baby. Mymyers45 hooked it up! |
denzel2009: Do you know how much Oluomo makes at bus stops in a day?Who is Oluomo? Oh Mc oluomo! No, I don't, I am here to learn. Educate me! |
geeez: lolEducate me about the bolded. How many people have been able to tap from this? Or make use of this? How many people are able to utilize resources the way they ought to or desire to? |
