dayokanu: Good "morring" Panel of judges, accurate time keeper, co-debaters and the audience

I am here to debate that casava bread is better than wheat bread bla bla bla.

I hope I have been able to "confuse" you that garri is better than bread

OP, Why arent there female in the debaters or why dont we have equal representation of gender?

I nominate female debaters like freecocoa, Ilekeidi, Kobojunkie, tpia, chaircover, jennykadry, tgirl4real, mamagee and michelin
There would be a debate for females next week after we are done with this one.
They are special women and they need more time to put on their lovely attires smiley
Round of applause for the special women of nl wink

@donmeca, how would you classify your write-up?

I would advise that you break it up to two or three post so it would appear less lengthy and easy for the eyes. Thanks!

RomanceRe: Have You Been Betrayed? by Cuddlemii: 5:27am On Jul 16, 2012
Everyone gets betrayed at some point and sometimes without confirmation, you set on a mission of revenge. It pays to forget and move on so you don't do what you would regret. Its very possible the betrayal was a misconception or someone that wanted your relationship sour, lied to you. Let it be a proven fact that he/she betrayed you before believing or acting.

@topic- Yes I have been betrayed and I have also betrayed. Such is life!

maclatunji: Ah! I am not shy about declaring affection but I have to be honest and not embarrass anybody. Like I said before, the poem is part fiction and cannot be said to truly reflect reality. You mean well but mentioning a name would not be fair because the poem would give people the wrong impression and I don't want to destroy this thread with unnecessary argument.

This thread talks about a couple that are separated, I have not being in a relationship with anyone on Nairaland, so how should I mention a name? For people to think we were a couple when we never were?

I posted this poem to share poetry and see what people think about the poem, let us leave it at that.
Well I think I know who the poem is about now. We don't want to break homes, so your secret is safe with me wink cheesy
The poem is for every contestant then.lolz

maclatunji: @Cuddlemii, I am just seeing that you have been made Moderator here- congratulations.
Thanks.

Let me see if I get you correctly, you are saying that those of us you listed can be the subject of any Nairalander's poem whilst we the "contestants/representatives" can also write poems about people we fancy?

Yes Sir!

Tgirl4real is married O. This your thread is "interesting" to say the least. Hmmmm... me? I have a poem I wrote some months back but did not share on Nairaland. Maybe, I will share it on this thread for people to assess? I am not sure I want to "serenade" anybody here though.

Share the poem, its all part of the excitement and entertainment. Besides, people would also learn from the poems and get ideas of how poems are written. I didn't want it to seem all stereotype and boring that is why I changed it up. I don't think anyone is buying it though, lolz. Gradually, we would get better!

You can def shake your booty to the beat and do some komole style.....oshe!!!!

I am not sure about it being a hit song but y'all got to give him some credit for continuing the african culture way! A typical Nigerian would have westernized his song and changed his mother tongue to suit foreigners but he is still singing in Yoruba just like the likes of Fela. Kudos to his originality!

Rocktation: My hate for love is overwhelming.
Two lines can never describe the feeling.
It'd make no difference, if given more though.
No number of words can achieve that goal. undecided
Ok I increased it to minimum of 6 lines. There is no maximum!
