@nevderek, what would I make of your thread now? Is this a poem or rap? I like it though, very unique but the vulgar word, b.tch is the only clause. What would you classify it as? |
Rocktation: Yeah, it sure needs some serious revitalization. It sometimes feels like the diaries section here. Everybody just passes by.We would work on that. If you also have suggestions, feel free to let us know. Thanks! |
TODAY'S THEME IS: LETTING GO “The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that that situation is over, you cannot move forward.” ― Steve Maraboli “Sometimes the hardest part isn't letting go but rather learning to start over.” ― Nicole Sobon “If people refuse to look at you in a new light and they can only see you for what you were, only see you for the mistakes you've made, if they don't realize that you are not your mistakes, then they have to go.” ― Steve Maraboli “Pain will leave you, when you let go” ― Jeremy Aldana “The day I understood everything, was the day I stopped trying to figure everything out. The day I knew peace was the day I let everything go.” ― C. JoyBell C |
Idowuogbo: Cuddle miiiiii!!!!!! was d bolded necessary?"Nairaland especially Romance section has stopped been a place where you can bare your opinions straight and plain because of the highly biased moderators in charge!" The bolded was what I just did! Apparently you are making your observations known as well and I appreciate that because there were a 101 comments on this thread but you had to pick the most childish one. So whenever I observe you going contrary to your own mediation skill, I will hold you to it! |
r231: Next time read the title before commenting r231: Sound more like a personal attack to me but I hia you shaPersonal attack? I don't have any issues with her! She made a complaint about what she is a defaulter of, I was only passing an observation. If you want a change, you start from yourself first. In fact your turn around can inspire others. |
Cuties!
Thanks! |
It all depends on the brand of the car and wife. Are they of high maintenance? Or not? A car is meant for mobility and not for showing off or unnecessary luxury. If you purchase an affordable car that is durable (meant for naija roads, doesn't consume a lot of fuel and has good longevity) and also drive wisely, then a man should be fine. If you marry a simple woman who is independent, resourceful and not a liability, a man would be fine. They are both not comparable. It is the taste and acquisition for both that would determine how you disburse funds or maintain them. So choose a realistic car and a woman of integrity, once you have a happy peaceful home, irrelevant questions like this wont crop up. A husband should also be a good manager of resources, invest, spend wisely and cut cost when necessary. Once you are a good economist and accountant, both the wife and car would be affordable to maintain. |

jay bee: see ya sexy mouthThe one you have refused to kiss! I want to believe we are derailing this thread? |
jay bee: yes....cuddlemii hasn't noticed me in months despite all the signalsOga no be so O! You are a very busy business man! ![]() |
Try noticing someone that loves you from now on. Give attention to who deserves it and not who you can't have! |
Lmao at give it to me, pls. Sounds kinky and I like it! @topic, she does not need a child but marriage. That is the new vice women deploy these days, as men are not as committed as they ought to be. |
TODAY'S THEME IS RELATIONSHIPS "Some of the biggest challenges in relationships come from the fact that most people enter a relationship in order to get something: they’re trying to find someone who’s going to make them feel good. In reality, the only way a relationship will last is if you see your relationship as a place that you go to give, and not a place that you go to take" -Anthony Robbins "Never idealize others. They will never live up to your expectations. Don’t over-analyse your relationships. Stop playing games. A growing relationship can only be nurtured by genuineness" -Leo F. Buscaglia "Shared joy is a double joy; shared sorrow is half a sorrow" -Swedish Proverb "A loving relationship is one in which the loved one is free to be himself — to laugh with me, but never at me; to cry with me, but never because of me; to love life, to love himself, to love being loved. Such a relationship is based upon freedom and can never grow in a jealous heart" -Leo F. Buscaglia "Address the issue and not the personality"(For instance, if you partner breaks a plate, caution him/her for doing that but don't use words like, "you this person, you are used to things like this, you are clumsy, useless etc)- Myself |
Ndyoo: please i notice its hard to post a story here without it appearing in blocks that are compressed and unreadable...will it be nice if we post referrals too that allow fellow NL reading it....like an fb page.thank uIt is your responsibility to make your story readable for your readers. A little paragraphing, spacing, punctuation, bolding, italicizing etc would go a long way in achieving that and posting on here has all that enabled. You need just a little patience to review your post and modify them. If you refer readers to your fb page, not everyone would have the time to redirect from one forum to other to read your story. Why do you want to give readers so much work just to appreciate your art. A good writer beats challenges and adapts to changes. Tell your story here and if you need assistance, that is what I am here for! |
FOR THE SALARY EXPECTATION QUESTION: Never give a figure or salary range in an interview except you were pressured or compelled to. The answer I always use is this, "Based on the industry, I am sure you are/your company is competitive. My priority is to gather experience and contribute to the company's blah blah blah blah" OR "industry standard" Any good interviewer and HR person would commend you for answering wisely. OTHER LIKELY QUESTIONS: 1) Explain a time when you excelled as part of a team:- They just want to know you are a team player (collective effort and good interactive skills) 2) Explain a time when you exhibited leadership qualities:- They want to know if you can live by example and motivate your colleagues 3) Explain a time you failed in your duties and how were you able to resolve it:- They want to know if you have perseverance and result oriented 4) Where do you see youself in 2/5/10 years?: Your goals and aspirations (If it will fit with theirs or improve it) 5) If you have an angry/frustrated customer/user, how would you handle the issue?- They want to know your personality, tolerance level and persuasive skills 6) What kind of Supervisor would you like to work with?- They want to know if you can work with the supervisors they have there or not 7) Do you function better independently or as part of a team- They want to know the pattern of your work or delivery. What does empowerment mean to you?- If you think of the company as your own, you are liable to make sure it functions right. They want to know your entrepreneurial skill and risk taking skills to improve the company.9) Define Customer Service in one sentence- Customers are the reason we do business. They want to know you have all the qualities to satisfy their wants, come back for more and refer others to your company's services. 10) How do you relieve stress/What do you do for fun?- The need to know they are dealing with humans and not robots. If your life outside work in not pleasant, your life at work would be cold. They need vibrant workers. Be realistic and don't use the I go to church or mosque or read the bible line. 11) How many nibble are in a byte- Tricky question. I was asked this, I didnt know the answer instead I started chewing/nibbling and got my interviewers laughing. 12) You have your manager, a customer and your friend on phone at the sametime. How would you handle that situation?-They just want to know how you prioritize in a work environment. The right answer is to inform you manager that you are handling a customer and would get back to him asap because a customer is top priority. After you have attended to the customer, you then return to your manager. Your friend is last on the list, you can chat some other time. 13) I have interviewed several candidates today, tell me one good reason why I should pick you?- They need you to sell yourself. 14) What do you know about the company?- They need to know you not just interviewing all over the place randomly. You are focused and mean business. Research the company you are interviewing with, its history, mission statement, operations etc just incase you are asked about the company. 15) Why did you leave your former company? They need to know who they are hiring. Just to be sure you have no mental problem or have never been convicted of a crime that your slate in the labor market is clean 16) What didn't you like about your former manager?- Just to know how you function with your superiors. Not an avenue to start giving bad reports about your former manager. Its better you use constructive criticism to distract the question. 17) When you don't know the answer to something, what do you do?- Research and Google it(its the easiest way) |

Billy Rubin: Here is unbelievably boring! Is it that we have no writers and literary enthusiasts in NL or what? It's appalling, really.Yes, you are right about that. I just became the mod here and have some ideas but because of an exam I am taking next week Tuesday, I haven't carried them out. I think the first thing is to create awareness and then re-organize the section. Also, with the help of useful contributions and suggestions, I am sure we can make it more active and exciting. Your suggestions are also welcome. Thank you! |
How can I be of help? I am all ears as long as you keep it Civil! |
TODAY'S THEME IS LIFE: "Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself" – George Bernard Shaw "Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are" – John Wooden "The greatest threat to freedom is the absence of criticism" - Wole Soyinka "Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant" - Robert Louis Stevenson "I have found that if you love life, life will love you back" - Arthur Rubinstein "Don’t ask what the world needs. In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson.” - Tom Bodett “Let yourself be open and life will be easier. If u need to know or join NAYWP, please get info from page one of this thread...I am sure one of the rules of NAYWP is adherence to the constitution.
