Hello ppl. It's me again ooh, I have gist plus I need advice as usual..lol... Sorry, my story is too long sha, buh dunno how else o summarize it.

If you guys remember I said earlier that I was refused twice this year, and I just applied the 3rd time last week.

So, here is the gist. About 2 weeks after my 2nd delay, my elder sister who is a canadian citizen just realized that she had the authority to request for my previous study permit application files from Canada in other to know the exact reason why I was delayed.

It took about 30 working days for the result to come out, and I kinda ran out of patience to wait for the result cos time wasn't on my side considering the fact that I'm applying for winter session.
Anyways,the result just came out over the weekend, it's about 21 pages, but the 20th page carries the summary (see attachment)

The reason for the delay was that in my previous applications, I included a letter from my sister saying that I will be staying with her through out my 2years of study. Now from the report, it was stated that the distance from my sisters place to the school is 2hrs. I.e as a student I will be doing 4hrs journey every day, which of cos doesn't look genuine.

Now, my latest application last week, I did not include a letter from my sister again. My sponsor also stated in his affidevit that he will provide funds for my accommodation.

My question is this, since I did not include a letter from her this time, do you think I won't have this same issue? Or do I need to maybe book an accommodation in my school and send the embassy a receipt or smth?? I need advice please.

I doubt if its optional. They are included in the document checklist for study permit.

opsynusy: NIS won't do it for you until it's 6months to the expiry date,you can still use it if it's still valid for 10months

Mcjimmy: My guy go and renew your passport and tell the immigration officer you see that you need it to apply for a Canadian visa for a 2yrs study..I can assure you that you will be given a new passport... Just make sure you give them a reason for the renewal before the expiry date on it. That's all.. Stay blessed

Thanks, but do you know any1 that had issues with student visa application based on this passport validity issh?? I need to be sure before I proceed..lol

PlayPays: They will never deny you for such, using ur example they might give you a year and half as much as the validity can take, knowing you're eligible to renew ur visa later on. We've witnessed on here where cic advised peeps to go renew their passports so they can't deny anybody for less passport validity.

Buh my passport is valid for about 10months. Maybe renewing it before they advise sm1 to do so may be a better idea. Just thinking#

PlayPays: What experience are you writing from? Everything you wrote just 100% wrong!
Cic doesn't issue permit for any study of 6 months or less.
And CIC won't issue visa more than ur passport validity, they rather return ur passport for you to go renew it before issuing ur visa.
And cic will never deny someone with excuse of 'purpose of visit' for such.
And lastly I don't think NIS would renew a passport that still have up to 9 months on it.

I don't understand your 3rd sentence. Are you saying its possible for your visa to be denied if your passport isn't valid for 2 years, if your going for a 2 years course??e.g

johfrox: 9 weeks is for accra while naija is 21 weeks according to their site but I'm not sure if these are for online application or letter.

For now, nija study permit is processed through Accra,since April2014.

johfrox: Yeah, I'm on the MYCIC page already. I'll just go ahead and do it myself since you I'll get my Bio letter same day and can do it same day. And I hope it will be ready in 2 months cause my program starts Jan 5.

My concern is how fast

When are you applying? I'm guessing if you apply now with ur medicals, by 2nd week of Dec it should be out considering the 9 weeks processing period.

My program will begin jan 7th...I intend to do Medicals this week and apply upper week.

johfrox: Thanks so much for the heads up. Some guys have been giving bad info that getting visa before Jan 5 is not feasible. I got a friend who wanna help me submit from canada though as I read somewhere on the cic website that it takes about 2 to 3 weeks to respond to visa application if submitted from canada.

I have 2 guys as an example that are already awaiting medical call up after 3 weeks of submitting their application.

Erm, how did they do their biometrics if someone helped them submit in Canada, but they are in Nija?? Just curious
I also noticed that processing time from Accra have increased from 6weeks to 9weeks sha..that is over 2 months

My first Canadian visitor visa, I got 1year 6months.

Holmes007: I think if u have a written doc that states the land belongs to you then add it. It really doesnt matter if u bought a land a day to submission. It all depends on packaging. It would also make more sense if ur dad shed more light on y he gave u the land on the letter of sponsorship. I really think u should add it, just have solid prove. If survey plan would prove otherwise then dont add it. A receipt of land purchase is just good enough. Most importantly, pray. All the best.

The survey plan proves otherwise, so I guess I won't include it again. I just hope my other documents will be ok. Nor be only to pray, I go do 40days fasting join sef, anything to chop TRV,.lol....thanks for the advice.

The land survey is still in my dad's name. I just thought there was no need to survey it twice.

Ok ooh, it's me again with my funny questions.

Some people have advised against me using the deed of gift(landed property) from my dad which is dated 1st September 2014, as it may seem suspicious the VO. But then, that's the only solid tie to nija I have to present, aside letter from my employer that I will come back and work for them.

What do I do? Should I leave it out of this application?

MrArams: You can leave it out. Add prayer to ur listed docs and you're good to go

Really? Then what will cover up for my ties in Nigeria? And Personal asset? Which were some of the reasons why I was refused last time.

The school( University of Lethbridge ) don't allow Intl students to pay any fees yet ooh, until the embassy give a go ahead to do so

Your landed property docs (gift from your dad) dated sept1st could send mixed signals of either commitment on the part of your dad or desperation of trying to fix every holes. I pray is the former. And I hope you added landed property docs of your parents cos it would be illogical to be gifted land without them having enough on their part.

IMO your docs are good. The proximity of your land property gift may raise an eyebrow

Yea, I thought about that too. And for some reason, those that stamped in court could not backdate it. is it better to leave it out? Yea, I added another landed property for my parents.

famolino: @cufs Wat are the reasons given (for refusal) in your previous applications? I think u should work more on it. But honestly, your documents are very okay

The first time I was refused, the reason was just purpose of visit.

The 2nd time was:
Family ties in Nigeria and Canada( some ppl said its because I stated that I will be staying with my Sister and her Family during my studies)
Purpose of visit
Length of roposed stay
My current employment situation
Personal assets and financial situation

And both applications, the documents below were not included

degreat11: ur sponsor SOA is a catching one with 10m no VO would deny anybody Visa. but on a second thought ... if I'm a VO I will raise the following concern
1. why UG. u reason is that u school improve on ur already acquire BSc by going for PG or PGD.
2. why using ur dad's company as additional sponsor when his account is more than enough...this might prompt them to investigate both SOA. and if there is cross transaction or transfer between both parties spell doom.

my 5kobo advice is to apply for a pdg use it for visa application and do ur UG wen u get to canny. by then ur dad's SOA will be more than enough

Thanks a lot degreat for the advice. I stated my reason for going for another UG degree in my SOP, if you don't mind, I can send it to you to vet if its convincing enough for the VO. Moreover, this UG program is for 2year because its strictly for ppl that already have first degree, and want to have a broad base understanding of business and the various aspects of management, unlike the normal UG degree for freshers that is for 4 years.

I used my dad and his company as sponsors because I stated that my employer(his company) will fund my tuition,while my dad will handle my accommodation, upkeep and other expenses.

If they want to investigate both accounts, I will have no issue because there have been no cross transaction or transfer between both accounts.

Hope the explanation is convincing enough....lol...more advice will be appreciated.

akosh005: Also to my last comment, d company sponsoring you 4 good 4yrs, hw do u tink the VO will see dis. Just as degreat11 say, why not go 4 pgd to get ur visa n later change to ur UG. #teamaccountant#

Its 2 years, not 4 years. This particular program is for ppl that already have a first degree

akosh005: All dis document is okay to shoot......but d issue of going 4 another UG program. 1st, wat additional document was started here dat was not included in d previous application. 2.was the UG program u re going 4 relate to ur working experience. 3. U might also need to consider ur age now. My 2cent. All is well ma by believing in God.
