Something that most State Govt. Officials have shared to their people already. One Deputy Governor I heard put the Names of his in-laws, security etc, they were to travel for verification or so but some refuse to go because of the distance and the fact that the amount is small according to what I heard. At the end, how many ordinary Nigerians that doesn't know anyone will get?

You guys are underrating this northerners, Those guy are politicians and when it matters most, they can easily forgo their individual ambitions for a common goal. Don't also forget that over 70% of the billionaires in the south were made by the northerns and they are mostly loyal to them. You have the right to bear your father's name or your mother's name as the case may be

Now if you want to bear both parents surname, you have to identify exactly which family you want to belong for life

If you want to be identified with your mums family, good and fine, his sibblings will have to be informed officially and they will embrace and welcome you by adopting you into the family

By doing so, you bear their names, have inheritance with them and have a share or assets and liabilities of the family

And you will settle down in their family as your original root

When you marry you bring her their she settles their have her kids their and they are part of the kindred of that family and that's how uoir own generations will go along and follow suit, whether you are still alive or not a

They will have to swore and affidavit and newspaper publication to that and you are now identified with them ab their son and brother

But if you know that you will return to your father's family at the end of the day, keep the name and don't change it.

Left for me, having understood your mind, I think you should go along yuoir mum family, if they will accept you as their son and brother
