u might be right , but the machines doing road seal were all written Dangote , notice the big machines at work there , I didn't see hi-tech on any of them ,
The reference to Dangote re-awarding the job to Hitech is in the story. Forget the labels on the equipment. It's a sweetheart arrangee. They decide among themselves whose equipment and personal will be used. Also, how the funding is arranged. See below

"It will be recalled that the reconstruction of Apapa-Oshodi Expressway was started by Dangote Group under the Road Infrastructure Development & Refurbishment Investment Tax Credit Scheme aka Executive Order 007 signed by Pres. Buhari in January 2019 (Dangote awarded the contract to Hitech)".

Conspiracy theory indeed! Do you have contrary facts, to what I posted. If you chose to wallow in ignorance, the larger tax paying public have the right to know.

Do you really understand the true meaning of "privately funded" projects? I guess you mean the road is owned by Dangote and he pays for the construction as a gift to FG and Nigeria. Dream on. Cost for all PPP funded projects are recovered either by tolling, FG bonds or direct foreign loans taken by FG which are funnelled back to the PPP contractor. There is no free lunch my friend.

The fact that a particular infrastructure project is executed via PPP does not exempt it from BPE due process. Please educate yourself by contacting ICRC.

Who deceived you into thinking only Tinubu's Hitech can build roads? Have you gone to see the mess they have made of Lekki-Epe expressway? They have been struggling with a simple expansion of an existing road for over 12 years now. They have not progressed beyond Sangotedo. There are hundreds of excellent road contractors who can do excellent job, but this nepotistic govt must funnel all jobs to Tinubu

NGpatriot:
Must everything be conspiracy theories or Tinubu this and Tinubu that?

Who cares who is or not doing the job as long as they do a good job.

Construction is privately funded and if Dangote feels like awarding contract or giving their money to Hitech, it's their business and their money.
PoliticsRe: See The New Look Of The Oshodi-Apapa Expressway - Photos by cuteboy2: 4:34pm On Sep 23, 2019
Which Dangote? Did you read the post at all?

Dangote collected the work, but passed it on to Hitech, Tinubu's construction company fronted for him by Lebanese. It's all arrangee.

Same thing for Oshodi-Murtala Muhammed Int Airport Road. Lagos State under Ambode arm twisted Fashola that Lagos will execute it, then simply passed it on to Hitech. No public tender, no competitive pricing.

The value of both sweetheart contracts is hidden from the public

Nigerians To Start Paying For Bank Deposits In 2020
The charges will attract three per cent processing fees for withdrawals and two per cent processing fees for lodgments of amounts above N500,000 for individual accounts.

Starting from September 18, 2019, Nigerians operating bank accounts will begin to pay charges for deposits and withdrawals.

Making the announcement on Tuesday, the Central Bank of Nigeria said that the nationwide implementation of the cashless policy will begin by March 2020.

The apex bank said that implementation of the policy would signal the imposition of charges on deposits in addition to already existing charges on withdrawals.

According to the circular, the charges will attract three per cent processing fees for withdrawals and two per cent processing fees for lodgments of amounts above N500,000 for individual accounts.

For corporate accounts, the apex bank in the circular said that DMBs would charge five per cent processing fee for withdrawals and three per cent for lodgments of amounts above N3m.

The statement, however, disclosed that the charge on deposits would apply in Lagos, Ogun, Kano, Abia, Anambra, and Rivers states as well as the Federal Capital Territory.

BusinessRe: Nigeria Ranks 3rd Richest Country In Africa By AfrAsia Bank (Full List) by cuteboy2: 11:35pm On Sep 17, 2019
If you do the calculation on per capita basis, you will need telescope to look for Nigeria at the bottom of the list

CampusGistNaija:
Nigeria is the third wealthiest country in Africa for 2019 — despite being home to billionaire Aliko Dangote

There are two Nigerians on the list of the Forbes top 5 African billionaires ruled by Aliko Dangote.

You would think this would make Nigeria the wealthiest country on the continent.
The new 2019 Wealth Report compiled by AfrAsia Bank says otherwise as Nigeria is ranked as Africa’s third wealthiest nation and Lagos state the fourth wealthiest city.

Nigeria is home to two of Africa’s richest people — Aliko Dangote with $10.3 billion and Mike Adenuga with $9.2 billion — as estimated by Forbes.

However, data from the September 2019 Wealth Report compiled by AfrAsia Bank shows that it is not the wealthiest nation on the continent.

The number one position goes to South Africa with a total wealth of $649 billion. This excludes government funds and includes private wealth (properties, cash, business interests and equities) held by all the people living in each country.

Egypt is in second place with $303 billion while Nigeria follows with $225 billion.

The report cited the following as reasons for Nigeria’s ranking:

Safety concerns and tensions
Outgoing migration of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs)
Investors running away because of the clampdown on foreign companies like MTN
Decrease in oil prices
Loss of value in Naira compared to the US dollar

City Ranking

Nigeria ranks even lower in the statistics for the wealthiest cities in Africa. In the list ruled by Johannesburg, Capetown (both in South Africa), and Egypt's Cairo, Lagos, Nigeria is ranked the fourth.

Despite being the largest city in the continent in terms of population and Gross domestic products (GDP), Lagos only has a total wealth of $96 billion.

As of December 2018, Africa has a total wealth of $2.2 trillion, 42 per cent of which is belongs to HNWIs. This shows the alarming disparity between the rich and poor.

1. South Africa - $649 billion

2. Egypt - $303 billion

3. Nigeria - $225 billion

4. Morocco $114 billion

5. Kenya $93 billion

6. Angola $69 billion

7. Ghana $59 billion

8. Ethiopia $57 billion

9. Tanzania $57 billion
