The Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal on Thursday nullified the April 3, 2019 judgment of the Federal High Court, Abuja which sacked Senator Peter Nwaoboshi as the Peoples Democratic Party’s senator-elect for the Delta North Senatorial seat.

The Federal High Court in Abuja had by its said judgment declared Ned Nwoko as the true candidate of the PDP for the February 23, 2019 National Assembly election.

A three-man panel of the Court of Appeal, in a unanimous judgment, held that the Federal High Court in Abuja’s judgment was a nullity as the said Federal High Court lacked jurisdiction to have heard the case filed by Nwoko.

Justice Mohammed Idris, in the lead judgment of the panel, held that the suit by Nwoko was statute-barred and that Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court, Abuja ought not to have heard the case in the first place.

ACT Technologies was INEC contractor in 2015 election. It produced and configured Card Readers and also produced PVCs for INEC for 2019 elections.

That company was set up by APC senatorial candidate
in Niger state. Tinubu and Col Sani Bello acquired this company preparatory and ahead of 2019 elections. The name of the company has been changed to Activate Technologies. They produced and uploaded 2019 PVC data into INEC database during the continuous voter registration exercise. And since they have the code to upload voting data into INEC database, it is therefore possible to remotely manipulate acceptance or rejection of PVCs at polling units of interest.

This back door access to upload data into INEC database is the basis for the repeated boast by Tinubu and Ganduje that they will deliver specific number of votes, namely; 3million and 5 million votes to Buhari from Lagos and Kano states respectively.

The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance has alleged that Police arrested one Gaius with already prepared result sheets showing that the state’s chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party won in the now postponed Saturday February 16 elections.

The state chairman of APGA, Rev. Augustine Ehiemere, made the allegation in a statement on Sunday in Umuahia, Abia State capital, at the governorship campaign office of Dr. Alex Otti.

Ehiemere, whose address was read by the Deputy Chairman of the Party, Chima Onyekwere, said the party in the state “received the polls postponement with shock and great disappointment.”

While recounting the losses experienced as a result of the postponement, he also disclosed that APGA’s attention had been drawn to an alleged plan by the state PDP to rig the election.

According to him, part of the plans was busted on Friday night when Police arrested a man who identified himself as Gauis somewhere in Umuahia for being in “possession of INEC’s sensitive documents and already completed result sheets that gave PDP victory ahead of the now postponed presidential and National Assembly elections.”

According to the above statement, only personnel of the Nigeria Army were withdrawn. If he still enjoys protection from police and DSS personnel, then this outcry is unnecessary. Awka Ibom is a battleground state, the governor should be protected and at the same time should not be allowed to use security operatives to the advantage of his party.


I strongly support the move by security agencies to temporarily cut down the number of personnel attached to political office holders. They can restore their full security once voting ends tomorrow. We must avoid any situation that can compromise tomorrow’s election.

How about scores killed at other APC rallies in the North? Have you heard of such in any PDP campaign ground? Does that not tell you that one person must be doing something wrong, while the other is getting it right, despite both pulling the same huge crowd?

You better redirect your advice to your incompetent principals to stop bussing people in from neighbouring states to fill stadia if they are clueless on how to carry out simple crowd control.
