Tintinix: Is the Party PDP or APC?This is internal APC power struggle |
Nsonaso: Well bro.... Am a kind of guy... loving, caring (with my little way of showing care) and honest... I tried so hard to impress ladies in all ways because I want to do that which they want, but I stopped when I found out that 98% young ladies don't know what they want themselves...I think you are absolutely correct. If you give them banner, they will ask for the banana peel. If you give them the peel, they will raise hell for not liking them and giving them the peel. With women, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. |
SEE FACTS BELOW FROM OTHER POSTS IN NL OF THE STUPENDOUS WEALTH OF FAT COWS FROM NIGERIA'S NORTH EASTERN STATES WHERE BOKO HARAM IS RAMPAGING WITH THEIR ACTIVE SUPPORT: READ AND WEEP FOR NIGERIA =================================================================== "80% of crude oil and gas produced by indigenous companies is controlled by the North-East. It is an area they have well conquered through (years of military rule by) General IBB, Abacha and Abdulsalami. However, the loots never get back home. ................. ALHAJI MAI DERIBE To the state of origin of Boko Haram: Borno State. Enter Cavendish Petroleum, the operators of OML 110 – with good yielding OBE field. This oil block was awarded to Alhaji Mai Deribe - the Borno patriarch, who even in death will remain the richest man dead or alive in the history of Borno state- by General Sani Abacha on the 8th of July, 1996. OML 110 has a proven oil reserve in excess of 500 million barrels (More than the entire 300milliom barrels reserve of Sudan). As yet with the capacity to produce about 120,000 barrels of crude oil daily from its OBE 4 and OBE 5 wells. At current production levels, the mai Deribes net circa N4billion monthly in crude oil sales (Using current oil price of $100pb). Cavendish Petroleum’s N4bn monthly net dwarfs the monthly statutory allocation of Borno which is about N3bn and its internally generated revenue staggers around N1billion. See his mansion, a tourist attraction - http://kyata.aminus3.com/image/2009-08-17.html Prince Nasiru Ado Bayero I will then shift to the centre of the Fulani aristocratic hegemony in the North East – Kano. Here. Enter the Fulani Prince Nasiru Ado Bayero, Mallam (Prince) Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s cousin. He is a Key shareholder and director in Seplat/Platform petroleum operators of the Asuokpu/Umutu Marginal Field with a capacity of 300,000 barrels monthly and A 30mmfcsd gas plant capable of feeding 100MT of LPG. The Ado Bayeros, Yar’Aduas and Atiku Abubakar are Nigerian holders of Intels. It is a private port that has grounded three Federal ports in the South. Intels is discussed later. General T. Y. Danjuma Enter South Atlantic Petroleum Limited (SAPETRO). South Atlantic Petroleum (SAPETRO) is a Nigerian Oil Exploration and Production Company that was created in 1995 by General T. Y. Danjuma. General Sani Abacha awarded the Oil Prospecting License (OPL) 246 to SAPETRO in February 1998. The block covers a total area of 2,590km2 (1,000 sq. miles). SAPETRO partnered with Total Upstream Nigeria Ltd (TUPNI) and Brasoil Oil Services Company Nigeria Ltd (Petrobras) to start prospecting on OPL246. Akpo, a condensate field was discovered in April 2000 with the drilling of the first exploration well (Akpo 1) on the block. Other discoveries made on OPL 246 include the Egina Main, Egina South, Preowei and Kuro (Kuro was suspended as a dry gas/minor oil discovery). In June 2006, General TY Danjuma divested part of its contractor rights and obligations to China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) for $1 billion (N160bn). Akpo exports about 230,000 barrels of condensate daily. Condensate export is not regulated by OPEC, so SAPETRO/TOTAL exports as much as possible each day. Egina exports about 75,000 barrels of oil daily. Therefore, Akpo and Egina fields export just over 300,000 barrels of oil/condensate daily (three times what the country Ghana exports). SAPETRO (TY Danjuma) get 25% of this. Now, note I have not talked about the gas component – it’s about 2.5 trillion cubic feet. The money SAPETRO nets each month is more than the monthly statutory allocation of all the Niger states combined and also more than the oil revenue of Ghana. Do your math. Enter AMNI (or is it AMIN?) International Petroleum Development Company. AMNI owns two oil blocks – OML 112 and OML 117. In the production sharing contract, AMNI gets 60% for owning the oil block and Total gets 40% for providing technical advice. OML 112 was awarded on the 12/02/1998 while OML 117 was awarded 06/08/1999 all by Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar. Operations started on both blocks 0n 26/02/2006. The licenses are due to expire 11/02/2018 and 05/08/2019 respectively. (Now you see why the next election is important?). The Okoro and Setu fields in OML 112 are operated by Afren Energy, a company substantially controlled by Rilwanu Lukman. The Okoro and Setu oil fields have about 50 million barrels in reserve and currently produce/exports just a little below 20,000 barrels per day. The chairman of AMNI International Petroleum and Development Company is Alhaji (Colonel) Sani Bello a Fulani from Kontagora, Niger State. Lest I forget, Alhaji Bello’s son- Abu, is married to General Abdusalami Abubakar's eldest daughter. Enter Oriental Energy Resources Limited, a company owned by Alhaji Mohammed Indimi, a Fulani and close friend of General Ibrahim Babangida. Also worthy of note is that General IBB’s first son is married to Alhaji Mohammed Indimi’s daughter – Yakolo Indimi-Babangida, who also serves as a director in the company. Alhaji Indimi hails from Niger State. Oriental Energy Resources Limited runs three oil blocks: OML 115, the Okwok field and the Ebok field. OML 115 and Okwo are OML PSC, while Ebok is an OML JV. All of them crown offshore oil blocks. OML 115 on its own is 228 sqKm. On OML115 Oriental Energy Resources Limited has 60 per cent while Equity Energy Resources AS, which Alhjai Aliko Dangote’s oil and gas investment vehicle has 40 per cent (Aliko Dangote is from Kano). On Okwok, Addax has 40% and on the Ebok field, Oriental Energy Resources shares with none: its 100%. AMNI produces twice as much as Cavendish Petroleum. Alhaji Aminu Dantata Enter Express Petroleum and Gas Limited floated by Alhaji Aminu Dantata, solely for the purpose of fronting for winning oil block(s) even though he and the company are in no way qualified for the award. General Abacha awarded him OML 108 on the 1st of November, 1995. CAMAC Houston, a company owned by Kase Lawal bought 2.5% of Express Petroleum’s 60% holdings. The other 40% on OML 108 is owned Sheba E&P Limited an IBB tributary company. SEPCOL operates the Ukpokiti offshore field in Shallow water Nigeria, which was acquired from ConocoPhillips in May 2004. Enter Shebah Exploration And Production Limited (SEPCOL) . It is the operator of the Oil Mining License 108 offshore Nigeria. Head office is in Lagos, but ‘head quartered’ in Minna. Enter Consolidated Oil. Conoil Producing Limited is an integrated upstream oil and gas company. They are the operator of six blocks in the Niger Delta as well as 25% Equity holder in the Joint Development Zone (JDZ) Block 4. Corporate Head office is in Lagos, but its ‘Headquarters’ is in Minna, Niger State. Conoil signed a technical operator agreement with Continental Oil and Gas Limited (CONOG) to provide 100% funding and technical service agreement to operate blocks OML 59 on a 40% (Conoil) / 60% (CONOG) basis. Conoil entered into a Production Sharing Contract with the NNPC by virtue of an agreement executed on 17th October 2008. Conoil’s has overall potential hydrocarbon resources of over 1.0 Billion Barrels of Oil and 7.0 Trillion Cubic Feet of Gas. General Ibrahim Babangida awarded the first oil block to Conoil in 1991. The company produces about 100,000 barrels per day. Late (Dr) Rilwanu Lukman Enter Rilwanu Lukman, another Fulani multimillionaire with fronted controlling holdings in Afren, the operators of AMNI oil blocks and also with very key interest in the NNPC/Vitol trading deal, Vitol is a London based oil trading company. Vitol lifts 350,000 barrels of crude oil daily from Nigeria. Yar’Adua , Ado Bayero family and Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Enter Intels and the Yar’Adua , Ado Bayero family and Alhaji Abubakar Atiku. The Oil and Gas Free Zone and Oil Services Centres, as well as Support Bases, are operated from government-owned facilities, leased to Intels under long-term agreements. Intels runs a ‘private port’, a venture that has systematically killed the Calabar, Warri and Port Harcourt ports. There are over one hundred major companies operating at the Intel facility in Port Harcourt. The company makes more money in profit than the government of Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta states put together. I shall give details and figures in the part two of this disquisition. Alhaji Saleh Mohammed Jambo Finally, for the Part I of this disquisition, I introduce you to NorthEast Petroleum. The name is as clear as the message it sends. I do not need to write so much about NorthEast Petroleum registered as NorEast. NorthEast Petroleum Nigeria Limited is the holder of OPL215 license, covering an area 0f 2,564 square kilometres in water depths between 200 to 1600 metres. NorEast is the parent company of Rayflosh Petroleum Nigeria which got the 2005 bidding round and was awarded the blocks OPLs 276 & 283 closing thereupon a Joint Venture Agreement with Centrica Resources Nigeria Limited and CCC Oil and Gas. Not surprising, NorthEast Petroleum is owned by another Fulani businessman from the North East, Alhaji Saleh Mohammed Jambo. The license was awarded to him by General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida in 1991 and then renewed in 2004. So far $50Million has been spent on the very promising Okpoi-1 and Egere -1 exploratory well. In the Part II, we shall finish the discussion. We will table other North Eastern billionaires who make more money than their states of origin from Niger Delta oil blocks." |

rhymz: Shekau is long dead, anyone that has seen videos of this recently killed one will spot the difference both in personality, mannerism and looks. So it is indeed true this whole BH mess is trumped up by people to achieve political ends. No wonder some people are not happy each time they hear the army is making progress, or that key BH leaders are eliminated. If this is thier game, and this report of She-COW(Shekau) being killed is true, we have to shine our eyes very well to compare pics and video of the old She-COW and the new She-COW ![]() |

Ngwakwe: The excerpts from Tinubu's interview:This sounds like a Nirvana from Tinubu. Why is he sounding so balanced, non-combative and accommodating all of a sudden? Something is happening in the political landscape that defies logic. First, Gov Sule Lamido of Kano who vowed to contest against GEJ in PDP has changed tune and decided to root for Jonathan in 2015. The leading lights in opposition APC like Shekaru, Ribadu, Fani Kayode, Marwa, Modu Sherrif Musa are capitulating one after the other. And now Tinubu is moderating is acidic views with positive and objective view, and even constructive suggestions. Government of National Unity ? Looks like the Capone himself is waking up to smell the coffee of 2015 already brewing in the pot. We are watching!!!! ![]() |

Things are changing so fast, as we get close to 2015 it is hard to keep up with events. I was busy arguing with a colleague at work last week that Friday that Governor Sule Lamido has made up his mind to contest against Goodluck Jonathan for the Presidency in 2015 not knowing that the Vanguard of that day lying on my desk which I was yet to read carried a story of Sule Lamido capitulating, and deciding to support GEJ instead We are watching ![]() |

orimahspence: 2. Why don't Muslims denounce terrorism? The bolded text in your post says is all. The I don't really care attitude is obvious. The attitude of muslims towards the murderous rampage of Shekau and Boko Haram (BH) have been tame, if not outright collaborative. At the beginning of BH murderous campaigns, killings and bombings were restricted to churches and areas in the North where Southerners are predominant residents (the Sabon Garis). Thousands of Igbos and Yorubas were killed in this manner. The attacks were also targeted at largely agrarian Christian Northern villages. The Northern political elites kept a stony silence and were even happy that BH activities will render current Federal Govt of Goodluck Jonathan so unpopular it will hand them the Nigerian Presidency in a platter of gold. Opposition political figures milked the insurgency for political gain. Every time a church, market or bus stop was bombed, rather than sympathize with the victim and condemn Shekau, as if on cue, they attacked the President immediately. When innocent school children at a Federal Government College or the one at Federal College of Agriculture had their throats slit in their hostels at night, and those that ran were mowed down by bullets, the Northern elites held their peace. The Northern elites through the Northern Elders Forum and some Northern governors in opposition political party such as Murtala Nyako even started issuing incendiary statements that the Nigerian Army are carrying out genocide against the North, including puerile statements that BH is being sponsored by the government. We only started hearing weak statements from the Sultan of Sokoto that BH killers are not muslims when the Emir of Kano convoy was bombed. When you compare the reaction of the Northern elites when Buhari's vehicle was attacked, compared to their reaction when a school (eg, the recent attack at Federal College of Education) is attacked, you will understand what I mean. My question to you is why does the Northern elite, Emirs, Muslims Leaders and the entire Ummah wait for muslim organisations to be the only ones condemning BH. Why can't they condemn BH with the same vigour and vehemence that they bring to bear in attacking the President in their bid to regain power. My firm believe and those of millions of Nigerians around the world is that the condemnation of the BH by muslims, muslim leaders, and Northern political leaders and Emirs in particular have been tepid. |
When I travel to the Middle East and see the wonders of transformation in Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain I have often wondered if these people are practicing a different type of Islam. Ditto for largely muslim Asian countries like Malaysia and Indonesia. These countries have greatly advanced in education & research, tourism, manufacturing, commerce, and sports. Malaysia and tiny Qatar and Bahrain are even hosting prestigious sports events like Formula 1, golf and ATP tennis tournaments. Please I would like Muslims and those who are well grounded in the Hadith and Sura to educate us. Are we practising a different kind of Islam in Nigeria? A form of Islam that forbids education, and advancement in commerce and tourism? If not, then why is the Northern state governments and the rich Northern elites not pouring thier resources into educating thier millions of almajiri children, who roam like orphans begging, and at the day graduate into a despicable murderer and rapist like Shekau of Boko Haram. Shekau is a direct product of the Almajiri system in the North. My main concern is even if you kill Shekau or exterminate Boko Haram, there are millions of fresh graduates from the Almajiri system who are getting ready to take his place. Why is Almajiri not practiced in Indonesia (a country with the largest population of Muslims), Malaysia, Pakistan, UAE(Dubai), etc. I leave out Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and other wealthy Gulf states because some people will say they are too rich. On the other hand, we have hundreds of stupendously rich Nigerian northerners who could afford to build schools and hospitals in every village in their home states. But they will never lift a finger to do anything. They only give food handouts during Salah and Muslim holidays. Let someone ask rich northern elites like Mai Deribe, Atiku Abubakar, Indimi, Dantata, Ibrahim Babangida and thousands of others: What have they done to lift their people from poverty and ignorance? Aliko Dangote tries to give huge chunks of money to his home state Kano when natural disasters like floods strike, but we need a restructuring of the religious system that deliberately keeps the masses under poverty and ignorance. Many states in the South like Ekiti are poorer than states like Kano or Kaduna, yet you don't see hoards of children roaming the streets begging. What brand of Islam are they practising in the North? |
Lamour1: Apparently, he raised good points but i still see those solutions as something we must all come together to achieve irrespective of tribe, party affiliation etc. Please I would like Muslims and those who are well grounded in the Hadith and Sura to educate us. Are we practising a different kind of Islam in Nigeria? Why is Almajiri not practiced in Indonesia (a country with the largest population of Muslims), Malaysia, Pakistan, UAE(Dubai), etc. I leave out Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and other wealthy Gulf states because some people will say they are too rich. striktlymi: Probably you do not know. Ask anyone who is involved in mainstream journalism in Nigeria and they will tell you that it is 'standard practice' for organisations to offer 'outfield journalists' some form of stipend. It can be in cash or in 'kind'.He is trying to hide something for sure by giving them brown envelopes. Brown envelopes have long been recognized as bribes. They are illegal and all decent journalist reject them. They fulfill the same function as N20 "roger" given to policeman at check points. They are clearly illegal. Wise up man. TBJ wants them to carry his false theory that a plane flew overhead that is why the building came down. Don't bring sentiments into this. Over 100 families are grieving right now. They deserve answers from SCOAN and Lagos State Govt Ministry of Physical & Town Planning . The salient questions: 1. Did SCOAN obtain permit for the original 2 storey building and subsequent modifications to add 5 more floors? 2. Was any state and federal laws breached? 3. Who was the registered engineer and building contract that undertook and supervised the work? 4. Why were First Responders and NEMA officials beaten up by SCOAN staff and effectively prevented from carrying out their statutory tasks? No one is above the law, including religious organizations and religious leaders. |

Eldavido1: In fact, tokunbo cars are the main target of the policy. This is FALSE!!!! Have you read the New Automative Policy? Go and read the statement by the PRO of Tin Can Port Command of Nigerian Customs Services embedded in the article in your original post. I extract it for you below in case you don't have the patience to read your entire post. Eldavido1: Confirming this development, Chris Osunkwo, public relation officer of Tin-Can Island port command (Nigerian Customs), told our correspondent that the Federal Government deemed it fit to direct that the 35 percent levy be implemented strictly on only imported new vehicles. It is sad that people will copy and post news clips from online media, and yet either are too lazy to read what they have posted, or maliciously twist it to fit their ill-conceived intent. This policy and its implementation has been severally discussed in many posts on NL, and people have been sufficiently educated. Don't start this falsehood all over again. |
bakynes: Lagos has d heaviest rain in d country and d Nigeria we know there was no proper planning when our leaders started building these cities. Am nt supporting Fashola or APC here just stating the fact.He has been Lagos Governor for almost 8 years now, and has been receiving commendations for doing wonders in Lagos, yet we still see these images even in supposedly high-brow areas of Lagos. They are more fixated on generating revenue by whatever means. Every street light pole is an advertisement spot even in the rough and dilapidated Ahmadu Bello Way and Akin Adesola Roads in Victoria Island. These are prime roads leading into this vital highbrow business district which also hosts many embassies and diplomatic missions. The Lekki-Epe Expressway, has been under construction for 8 years now by Tinubu's company, HITECH. They have only managed to reach Ajah (about 1/10th of the entire length), and they have constructed 2 toll plazas, yet they forgot to construct enough foot bridges for pedestrians. Billions of naira have been sunk in this lucrative road project, of which the sole beneficiary financially is Bola Tinubu. At this rate, the road will get to Epe in 2050!!! This is a strange expressway with roundabouts. I have not seen roundabouts in express roads, without traffic lights. All those roundabouts should have been flyover bridges. They cut corners so HITECH can maximise profit for Tinubu. These roundabouts compound the horrible traffic gridlock on this stretch of road in the mornings and during close of work in the evenings. Many innocent pedestrians are killed daily on this road trying to cross this expressway, yet LASG is busy constructing new giant steel structures for advertisement billboards on every roundabout to generate more revenue into Tinubu's bottomless pockets. This is callous and wicked. |
VI and Ikoyi roads are horrible. Attached pics are Akin Adesola Rd VI. Just after Adeola Odeku Junction when coming from Falomo this is the sight that greets you. This road leads you straight to the main access road to Eko Atlantic City the purported Dubai Island of Lagos. This should impress investors.

Good move. It's time some of these ardent critics test their popularity at the polls. Perhaps he should have started at the senate. But it's ok. Hope he will concentrate on telling the good people of Kaduna what he intends to do for them rather fill the air with paranoia of SSS assassination attempts on him. |
