1. OAU was renamed by a military government that governs by decree (fiat), UNILAG is being renamed by a so called democracy which is supposed to represent the people.

2. OAU was founded by the SW regional government under Chief Awolowo and he was the first Chancellor of the University, MKO did not have such relationship to UNILAG

3. UNILAG was established by an act of parliament (the first from what I have read), so any name change must start by going through lawmakers who represent the people to effect the name change! OAU was established by the regional government so, no comparison.

4. UNILAG was renamed to in fact demean MKO's legacy as a regional icon when he clearly won in Tofa's state, north, east and west. Why not rename a place in Abuja after him?

5. Retardeenchuwkwu renamed UNILAG to deflect attention away from his bottom of the barrel performance in ~3 years as president. Otherwise point to 3 achievements he has on ground in ~3 years without pointing to his eating "cassava bread and ofada rice for N 1 B" retarded policy?
