FoodRe: Is Flood Really Responsible For Rice Price Hike? by CyberHustle: 10:50am On Oct 31, 2022
Market is much more volatile in reality than it looks in theory. The flood affected output and farmers already know what is about to happen, in addition, some distributors are always on the edge for the next excuse to justify their ever-iminent price increase.

Even foreign rice cannot remain the same given the fact that there is a global inflation trend. When wheat goes up in price due to Russia war in Ukraine, direct substitute like corn, rice and cassava are bound to adjust in same direction slightly.

The world is moving to a global village rapidly than most people realize.

FamilyRe: My Wife Twins Sister Moved To Our Apartment Of A Room And Parlour Self-contain by CyberHustle: 9:00am On Oct 24, 2022
wasuka14:
My wife Twins sister moved to our apartment of a room and parlour self-contain with her 4 kids after the demise of her husband without notice to me.

Honestly, I really need urgent advise as I can't have access to my apartment or to my wife again. As her twin sister moved in to my small apartment with her 4 kids and loads of clothes and some other luggages. Therefore, no single space left in my parlour to sit or leave again.

I am mentally stress with what am passing through now. For 2 weeks now, I can't sleep in a small house am managing with my wife and our 4 kids too.

The issue at hand is not even about apartment alone but also of feeding.
Now, before now, my wife used to manage 2500 to feed all of us for breakfast alone. But now, she barely manage 6000 every morning.
Thereby, increase daily expenses on food to like 14-16k daily depends on my pocket.
And the funny thing is that, both the sisters are not working so as to at least support with something.

For now, am managing to pass night in my shop, but twice in a day they will send my first child to my shop to fetch money for food. Am really tire. I am just a bloody welder.
I don't know how to take care of these migrants going forward.

My wife can't drive away her twins sister by herself, am also too timid to drive them because of human feeling in me. Pls what do I do. I really need help and serious advise from fellow Nigerian and non- Nigerian.
Buying food in bits isn't a wise idea. Buy in bulk and cook once daily if possible. It will reduce that 6k cooking you are doing.
HealthRe: Brain Drain: Nigeria Left With 24,000 Doctors – NMA by CyberHustle: 8:54am On Oct 21, 2022
Uchek:
Your analogy is atrocious and horrible. You are comparing India that has ten times more skilled manpower in India than those in Diaspora. You are comparing India whose institutions and bureaucracy works to produce the essential goods and services. You are comparing India that practices true federalism where the states control their economic destiny and unencumbered by an incompetent and incapable Centre dominated by quota-system and federal character appointees. You are comparing India whose Diaspora citizens are trooping back to India to develop the country. You are comparing India with Nigeria where her leaders don't engage in medical tourism like all your political leaders starting from your president. Stop comparing Nigeria with other countries. Nigeria is a FAILED STATE.

No country becomes great when your best of best are imprisoned outside as ECONOMIC MIGRANTS
I recommended what I felt was most achievable. Your condemnation of my example of India appears hasty because the point about comparing India to us is all focused on what we share in common that can aid my idea. We have lots of gifted and unengaged hands in fields like accountancy, law, engineerrung and human sciences. These brain according to my suggestions, should be carefully redirected towards in-demands fields like medical practitioners that can help met crucial local need and earn us forex.

All those talk about medical tourism, quota system, diaspora Indians returning, and production is irrevant to my point.
My point is focused on global demand and supply forces of skilled labours and availability of capable minds that can be redirected towards these global skill shortages.

Will it be given to them or just a budget stunt used to calm nerves?
When there was less debt, the govt couldn't do this as there was no money, I wonder how it will happen now.

HealthRe: Brain Drain: Nigeria Left With 24,000 Doctors – NMA by CyberHustle: 9:42am On Oct 20, 2022
Our lack of organisation is stunning.
We have excess supply of dormant engineers, lawyers and accountants in the labour market. Instead of sustaining the system producing theses dormant hands, why not adjust things from secondary school level? Make more spaces available to study medical sciences and medical related courses. This can solve a lot of problems. More local doctors, more foreign doctors remitting forex crude oil cannot keep up with, better utilization of available minds.
India don't see it as a brain drain as much we do because they have robust educational system constantly adjusting to global market demands. This is how they earn huge remittances from technology and medical science.
We are cursed with leadership in Africa.

India’s huge population of talented youth means that we have enough intelligent minds who can contribute to India from India and to India from outside India. We must continue to develop more excellent colleges/universities and opportunities here so that the best have avenues here and not only abroad. This development of excellence is happening,” Vijay Raghavan, secretary department of biotechnology, told Hindustan Times.

HealthRe: Medical Brain Drain In Zimbabwe: Government Blocks UK-Bound Nurses (Video) by CyberHustle: 9:31am On Oct 20, 2022
This brain drain trend is only an African thing. In India, I doubt it is seen as brain drain. Rather they see it as opportunity to earn forex and strengthen their economy. Brain drain is when you lost the best and are handicapped in that aspect.
A serious govt should be looking to build more medical schools and have more medical doctors, surgeons and general practitioners available instead of crying about brain drain. Look at all those streams of Engineers, Lawyers, and Accountants that are under utilized and divert them towards medical courses from secondary schools. What is stopping us from graduating 10,000 or even 25,000 medical doctors each year instead of having gigantic engr, acct, and law faculties? Brainless lot we have in this continent.

Christianity EtcRe: Is Threre Anything Like "Afterlife" by CyberHustle: 3:27pm On Oct 05, 2022
MaxInDHouse:
What the scriptures referred to as judgment day totally differs from what most people are thinking. In the real sense of the scriptures death is the highest form of judgement from God {Romans 6:23} so at death the sinner has paid FULLY for all his sins! Romans 6:7
Remember In Genesis, after night and day, the first day was recorded. Similarly there is a last day and the scriptural picture of that day is one where the spirit that's resting will be raised and judged. That's how I see it.
You explanation makes it sound like the circumstance of death of the body physically(disease, accident, sleep) is the aggregate punishment for good or evil.
Christianity EtcRe: Is Threre Anything Like "Afterlife" by CyberHustle: 3:11pm On Oct 05, 2022
The concept of an afterlife looks fairly easy to graps. In occult, when a person has been targeted and gotten, they say things like "you die well", " dem dey follow this one" and co. There are many of such statement across cultures around the world. Rest In Peace. Is it the body that's decaying that's resting in peace or the other one waiting for Gods final judgement day?
Once you can cone to terms with the spirit reality, an afterlife becomes fairly simple concept.
