SangoOlukosoOba:
The Chinese are very smart! They have studied Africans and are buying into our lapses. Those guys are going to recolonize Africans with debt.

A time will come when we will be so hooked to them and will have nowhere to run to.

Free loans with mad terms! China will give you loan, and still execute projects with same loan, with its own Chinese pcompany.

Let’s be truthful, Africans are dumb!
Once the loan doesn't repay itself like we saw in rail construction, it is very hard to repay.

University is expensive

The good ones pay fees that from the Nigerian perspective are high

Those that are free pay for the privilege in very high tax rates
This same stupidity of playing dirty politics with sensitive issues is what led to removal of petrol subsidy without palliative.

Instead of asking for accountability from the authorities of schools like the students are, you foolishly implied that because the student aren't paying much or providing the bulk of the money running the school, they cannot assess good education. A very deranged way to think that is.
My take is this, let the school be accountable first, because whether the funds come from govt or from students fees, it deserves to be put to judicious use.
From reading your posts on this site and what they say about you, it is obvious whom you blindly work for here. You brainlessly support Tinubu policies at the expense of accountability.

Petrol subsidy has been removed to much suffering and not a soul has been prosecuted for fraud but you here talking like a deranged human about increasing what student pay in order to assess good information. If the govt when funding the system couldnt regulate the excesses of the lecturers, how will that happen when it s the student versus their lecturers? But demonic mindset of bitter politics has consumed you totally.
PoliticsRe: Anti-demolition Protest Breaks Out In Kano by CyberHustle: 7:01am On Jun 27, 2023
festacman:
In Nigeria, a sitting government uses public money to build a project and then boasts about it as its signature project as though it is a 'personal project'. So another government comes in and erases these signature projects to destroy the past government's source of pride and discredit it. It doesn't care how much of public money is used in building them. That's what is currently happening in Kano and it happened with TINAPA project, which was allowed to waste away with billions dollars already committed.

This means that in Nigeria, governance is still not about the using the PEOPLE's money to meet their needs but about the political interests of selfish politicians. And this persists because the PEOPLE gullibly take sides with politicians and get short-changed like fools.
Politicking is no longer something they do to assess power but they continue in bitter politics to cancel out one another even after getting there. Like you concluded, the masses whom competition between political parties were designed to favour are the ultimate losers and end up being severely disenfranchised.

nairalanda1:
The university system also witnessed the highest number of industrial actions.

Because the government and the lecturers don't want to accept the fact that universites need to increase fees drastically to improve funding.

Some years ago, a university VC stated that government only pays for about one tenth of his university's yearly overhead costs. He also stated that if you want Cambridge level degrees, pay Cambridge level fees.

Universitas cost money. That is why when we pay fees of less than 100000 naira, we are deceiving ourselves.
What about other schools not as expensive as Cambridge?

Digital skill can't answer to the needs making Nigerians suffer today. We need food shelter, transport, healthcare and communication. Digital skill influences less than 20% of those.

You guys will be alright o las las because the era of lazy youth is gone!
