What if INEC said they didn't utilize the server based on some technical glitches. This case will not see the light of the day. See I'm an IT expert and I know what I'm saying, infact I've worked and still work with different servers. There are alot of set back that won't allow centralized submission of the election results. The card reader was only used for accreditation not voting so how do you want to transmit result when the device wasn't used to vote?

You still don't understand do you? He never said he transmitted the result. He said his role is to work with APOs when they have issues with the SCR and part of his training includes issues that may come up during transmission of results. There's another thread where the APO said they transmitted results. This RATECH's testimony is to establish the ability of the SCR to transmit results electronically and the intent of INEC to do that during elections.

The main job of RATECH is to troubleshoot ,replace and reconfigure the card reader if any technical issues erupts.

E-collation was part of the training manual and even the card reader.But NOBODY did any e_collation ,because it was not supported by law.

[b]me personally don't know what point inec is tryna prove ..our ward consisted 23 pooling units and we all transmitted result electronically when we got the the RAC,with the help of the RATECH guy posted with us ..we had to sleep over till the next morning which was Sunday just to get network by midnight ..

If there's ever a RATECH, then there should be some kinda synergy. It's either they transmit a unanimous result as agreed by all other officers or they transmit exactly what the presiding officer announced (should announce).

Peeps dont seem to understand that "there is a legal reason" why INEC Rules state that ONLY Presiding Officers (PO) can transmit results!

They are Full/PERMANENT INEC staff, accountable to INEC as an Institution of government!
Do you think a Permanent INEC staff would come to court to give evidence against his own organisation, for the benefit of those suing his organisation?

Well, the Electoral Act provides for the appointment of any other staff of the commission.

It went on to grant INEC powers to delegate authority to any staff (ad hoc or permanent) so RATECH might not be illegal.

If there is a RATECH (in the first place) appointed by the commission, trained by the commission and working for the commission under some specific instruction/guideline, then needless to call them illegal workers as the law already gave them such powers.

What people failed to realize is that once the RUGA is established(which can be dominated by indigenes of the state) the following will start taking effect

1. Fulani will no more have monopoly on cattle rearing cos you can’t establish a federal project in my state and import foreigners.


2. The states can effectively ban open grazing with the support of the FG to protect the local RUGA. Then Fulani would stop moving around and killing innocent people.


Instead of state governor to negotiate that they will be the one to give license to the RUGA settlers and in the process of granting license, they deny the Fulani license to the RUGA and they rather grant it to their citizens and have the Fulani as tenants that can be evicted anytime. Then they can enact anti open grazing laws.

People of the Middle Belts and Southern Nigeria are Farmers and if they want to BUY CATTLE FEEDS from the South/Middle Belt, they should order for it ONLINE (dont even come down there ) and it would be delivered to them via Train loads.

If they also want to sell cattle to other parts of Nigeria, they should move the cattles from the ranches into Train or Trucks and deliver them to the South.
