I say well done to the boys. Very few people gave them a chance at the beginning of this tournament, yet they made it to the final. They practically had zero preparation and only got this far by their own sheer determination.
We can't continue to fall to prepare yet expect to succeed. |

Nwoke, stop wasting your time trying to partake in something buhari/apc would either rig or kill people for. Your life matters. Let those that put him there be the ones responsible to take him out. Is the PVC only for the Presidential election? Are you satisfied with the performance of your Governor, your Senators, your House of Rep members? Besides, have you ever seen a politician voting more than once or snatching ballot boxes? Is it not the same common man that helps them to rig? You better get your PVC and at least make an effort to make a difference. Otherwise stop complaining. |

KwoiZabo: How do you accuse me of being petty in an anonymous forum. I am only happy because this tread exposes her as a hypocrite and her arrogance. BBOG killed GEJ's govt, just analyse the pics below. The opposition were rejoicing over it. This is what is called politics. What did you expect, that the opposition would support GEJ in a situation that made him look bad?Are the PDP giving kind words to Buhari and the APC now over the herdsmen's killings? Please try and understand how politics works and stop being overly sentimental. |
Politics › Re: Oby Ezekwesili Denies Campaigning For APC In 2014 by dabossman(m): 3:53pm On Feb 02, 2018 |
Tecno66: The point is that every time you lambast Buhari for his action or inactions, the APC will rise to support him because he is representing them. Jonathans government was accused of corruption and affected his party at the polls. Obi fought against Jonathan because of the way he handled the chibok girls issue and the APC joined their voice and they fought Jonathan. Whether you agree or not, all those fighting Buhari today, whether because of chibok girls, boko haram, fulani herdsmen or fulani herdsmen, they will directly or indirectly affect the APC at the elections becbuse arrow head of the party is the one being criticized. In other words, criticizing the presidency is like criticizing the party that formed the government. Yes, but that doesn't translate to campaigning for the said opposition party or candidate. Many of us are criticizing Buhari for his own failings today, and you can say by extension his party APC. But does that now mean we are campaigning for PDP? Heck no. Even if PDP try to use that opportunity to "be on the side" of the people, it still doesn't mean we will vote for their candidate. My point is let us learn to separate the people's reality from politicians and their propaganda. Politicians are fond of tagging every dissenting voice as being sponsored by their detractors or the opposition, but we as the people must not fall for such cheap propaganda. We should be wiser by now, haba. |
Politics › Re: Oby Ezekwesili Denies Campaigning For APC In 2014 by dabossman(m): 10:23am On Feb 02, 2018 |
Tecno66: She may not have campaigned for them but campaigning against PDP was indirectly supporting APC. She campaigned against the FG and their inactions over the Chibok girls; and she didn't stop that campaign even after power changed hands. People should learn to distinguish between the govt and a political party or individual. |

osazsky: do u watch football? kdb had d highest assist last season and he is doing same now ,can't say same for pogba who prefers to win Carling cup and senseless Europa league leaving d EPL and champions league for d big boys I usually tend to ignore your mentions and I also avoid quoting you, not because I have anything against you but because I think you get too emotional about what is simply a game. Yes, football is a game, not something to get overly emotional and caustic about as I often see you doing here on Nairaland. For your information, I have been following European football from as far back as 1988 in the glory days of AC Milan. I have been supporting Manchester United even before Pogba was born. So, don't come asking me if I watch football or not. Like I said, I don't like to engage in pointless comparisons. Now if you know as much about football as you like to claim, then you'll know that Pogba is a more decorated player than KDB. He has won four Italian Scudettos and a Champions League runners-up medal. Let me not even mention his achievements on the international level with France. So for you to say he prefers Carling Cup and Europa league leaves me wondering if you really know what you are saying. Interestingly, the only league title KDB has ever won is in the Belgian League. He only won a Cup title in Germany. And the only thing he has won in all his time in England is the same Carling Cup you are mocking. Anybody who knows anything about football knows that footballers usually reach their peak at about age 27. KDB will be 27 this year. Pogba will turn 25. Go figure. Both are very talented footballers. I respect them both for their talent. Learn to do the same. Free your mind from venom. It is just a game. Peace! oodua1stson: it's either you're a troll, mentally derailed or just a low life never do well bastard.
What has your lord and saviour de bruyne won in his career? A cup at Wolfsburg and a Carling cup to show for his almost 3 years in England.
In less than 2 years in England Pogba has already won 3 titles. One of it a European cup.
He also won countless trophies in Italy with Juventus. Ah, I see someone has even responded to you already. |

I don't engage in pointless comparisons. Where was KDB when Ngolo Kante was winning the Player of the Year last season. It is KDB's season. Doesn't mean he is better than Pogba, Hazard, Sallah, Ozil or Coutinho who just left for Barca. |
