Lol. We agree. We are all sinners though but what did the bible say about feminism before I leave it alone? pocohantas: |
We all like to be political correct. Well, these are the things we see in this generation. I love the women race completely and in as much as we are humans, but let's face it. We are not equal. It's a mans world (na why dem fit give testimony that babies changed from female to male in the womb and people are clapping). The earlier these shoprite gehs note this, the better for all of them. Feminism is good but it's flawed especially in Nigeria. The ladies are given the free will to do everything they want. But they want to be seen as they are fighting for a cause. Where I used to work, the women were preferred over the men. In banks too. So please, what are you fighting for? In fact, there's a new study that women are more likely to get top positions than men in Nigeria. You know why? The men will rather set up their own businesses to feel like entrepreneurs than answer to a higher boss. And women entrepreneurs? Are you kidding me? Set up a consultancy and pitch against a woman-owned agency and see if you'll win. If you say the women are looked at as sex objects, then I want to understand where they brought you from (to be honest). Only a gay guy won't pay attention to a woman's physical features. It's in our blood. Every man will do this. No amount of talk and awareness will change this. That's why the concept is flawed. Don't even get me started on the girl child being married off quite young. Have you been to the north recently? The parents have started refusing this act because of the damage done to their kids. Allow nature take it's cause. The animals are a clear example of male dominance (except for a few). And we are higher animals. Even the bible sees man as the head and should be served. You people want to fulfil some part of the bible and neglect the others ba? Welldone! Lastly, Our grandmothers and mothers had very good marriages because they were submissive. Marriage is a union between the strong and the weak. Nothing like equality in marriage. If it was a union between two equal people who love themselves, then you should keep quiet when gays and lesbians are getting married. |
I'm honestly tired of having people call you a wailer just because you are complaining about things not working. Let's all be matured. Would you want to justify being right over the country getting better? Any small thing, these children will jump and say 'I told you so'. Will it improve the country? Join hands and voices to condemn what is bad. Stop the nonsense! |
Guys, if in 2016/2017, you still don't believe in going to the cinema to watch Nigerian movies, you are missing alot. The much anticipated movie, 'The Wedding Party' has begun airing in cinemas nationwide and here are my honest thoughts. I was particularly impressed with the ample appearances of Nigeria's finest in the movie industry. I must say a big kudos to the producers of this movie. Please note, this is not a spoiler (well, I'll try not to make it one). Movie Quality (Sound/visual): As Nigerian movies continue to improve on the quality of their productions, this movie wasn't left out as it was top notch. Very clear and audible. Everyone could hear what they were saying. I'll give it 8/10. Storyline: You'd agree with me that this has a similar storyline to the typical american comedy/drama movies that we are used to watching. However, it was a great one. I'll also give it 8/10 Acting: Yes! I have a lot of things to say about this. I was particularly impressed by Banky W's acting. For someone who has little or no experience in acting, he did pretty well. The star of the movie was one of my favourite actresses in Nigeria - Sola Shobowale. She just knows how to put on a good performance. Frank Donga also did very well - especially in that scene where he said 'abi I should call my tailor?'. That made me almost fall off my chair in laughter. (Those who have watched the movie will understand). Other scenes that impressed me: Banky's rolls Royce scene. That was very very good. It felt so real. The armed robber hostage scene. The dancing scene. But as embedded in the Nigerian gene to want to overact sometimes, this movie wasn't short of such displays. Alibaba's scenes portrayed him as over enthusiastic and it seemed he was over acting. I understand what the producer felt when he was bringing in Alibaba. However, I think he wasn't a good fit for that role. I think he's better as a stand up comedian. Acting may not be his thing. He had some good moments (robbery scene) but generally, his acting wasn't top notch. Emmaohmygod: Although he's my friend and a very funny guy, his scene took away the realism (drama genre) from the movie. He did overact in his prayer scene and it became quite boring after a while. Banky's 'best man': I understand the concept, however, the guy had a couple of low moments. He seems overtly confident and people could know that he was acting. I didn't see a lot of emotions from him (both the good and the bad). So i would have given acting a high flying 8, but for the 'average' performances, I'll give it a 7/10. Movie production/direction: The producers must have spent a fortune on this movie without a doubt. It isn't easy to assemble a whole list of celebrities for a movie. Logistics and movie set up must have cost some money. I'll give it 8/10. In conclusion, while this movie may not gross as much revenue as Trip to Jamaica (the AY factor), it certainly is BY A WIDE MARGIN better than Trip to Jamaica and is one of the best movies produced in Nigeria yet. WE DON'T HAVE 93 MILLION INTERNET USERS IN NIGERIA. THESE ARE BLOODY LIES! |
This is the kind of nonsense that I hate. When these people just open their mouths to say something will end. What are the things in motion to end it? What have you stopped or started? What is the recovery process? This is typical APC way of governance. Just to provide vague comments and expecting us to just go with it. Don't come to tell us that recession will end in 2017. We don't wanna hear this crap! Tell us what your Government has done so far. |
Oh beautiful post! mynd44 and Lalasticlala oooooo. |

Please make una help me oo. My username is dabraska. Thanks. |
I'm not hating at all. But, let's be honest with ourselves. Nobody who has really toiled for his money will spend it on these kinds of cars in Nigeria. These are either sons of politicians or fronts for other dubious politicians. |
osile2012:Bro, I don't think you understand what the OP is saying. The 'ad industry' has evolved. If you run ads to drive traffic, that's very legal - and Google can detect where your traffic is coming from. However if you go around posting the link of your blog to sections on Social Media that are not related to your blog all in the name of traffic, it can be monitored and you could be sanctioned. I think that's what the OP means as SPAM. I'm sure you've also seen links that will contain a catchy headline and then when clicked on, redirects to a blog. Those are also spam messages on Social Media. |
sainty2k3:Bros, e no easy like that oo. Government is involved |
Following up with the story than Ambode halted the contract of Falomo Mall development, Afriland has released a statement on the issue: The management of Afriland Properties Plc notes with concern, recent reports relating to its transaction to redesign and redevelop the iconic Falomo Shopping Centre in Lagos.Link: http://afrilandproperties.com/alleged-termination-of-contract-between-afriland-properties-plc-and-lagos-state/ |
dmcdad: One thing worth noting is; will they be able to give their services to a large number of number and still offer such speeds? That's really what I do not know. But omo, na to dey enjoy am while it is superfast o. Even if the speed reduces, from what I have seen, I do not think it is on the same level with the usual internet providers. It will still be better. My opinion though. |
But I thought Smile Communications 4G LTE was killing every internet. The only problem is that they are in Ibadan for now. I was told that they would be in Lagos soon. I hope they continue with their speed. As an internet addict, their speed no be here o. |
dmcdad: Seeking for 4G/LTE (Long term evolution) now is like building castle in the air.We make use of devices that are capable of taking up speeds as high as 50-150mbps. I mean, devices like the iPhone 5, 5S, 5C, Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, HTC One just to mention a few, are capable of rendering speeds between 75 and 150mbps. The big question now is: on what netwrok are you gonna use that on to appreciate or rather maximise such functionality? Even our so-called 3.75G is trash compared to Edge some countries offer. Not to mention their 3G and the ultimate 4G/LTE.Seriously! You haven't heard of Smile Communications in Ibadan? Standard 4G LTE. I used to have my own doubts until it was shown to me. I paused for 35 minutes. |
Your website is your online brand profile. This means that your online brand profile is open to almost 50 million Nigerians and over 1 billion people in the world. As a brand, you will need to develop that website that will dazzle and catch the attention of potential customers. Here are things you should retain at the back of your minds; Online attention span is REALLY low: With millions of websites in the online space, an average user wants to be able to browse through and look for variety. So, you need to provide that little ‘extra’ to be able to retain the online fans. Success Stories and Browsing pattern with respect to region: We understand that you want to make your website unique. But we advise that you critically study the most visited websites in the region you operate. This gives you an idea of the browsing pattern of people in that region and things you can learn from them to improve upon and make your website even better. Here’s what we think about getting a foreigner to recommend and develop websites in Nigeria; NO! It’s an epic fail. Except the foreigner has studied the market in that particular region. Have Social Media Accounts and link them: As a brand, if you aren’t on the Social Media, I’m sorry but you aren’t in business. It’s just a matter of time before you fade out. So, develop Social Media accounts and have icons on your website. Every page matters: This is SO important. I can’t over-stress the importance of this. Six or seven years ago, the homepage was the ultimate page of every website. Don’t get me wrong, it still is. But with the emergence of the Social Media icons and redirects, less attention is paid to the homepage. Most websites around have more traffic to other pages on the website as a result of links from their Social Media page. Pictures and Videos: Haven’t you noticed that we are not the ‘texty-reading’ kind of people in this part of the world? A picture tells a thousand words. So, instead of accruing paragraphs of long and boring (No matter the information in it, it’s still boring) texts, replace them with simple pictures and videos. They take less space and are easy to view. Also, they are very great for getting interactions. Mobile Friendly: 70 percent of the whole Nigerian population are mobile users with about 30 percent using smartphones. That is huge! A mobile phone is the world’s most personal device. Optimize your website for mobile phones. Decision makers really do not have time to scroll and zoom to properly view your website. Have a mobile version of your website handy. http://digicraft.ng/blog/63-tips-for-having-your-wow-website.html

Ref: Dana Air Had Technical Fault While Taking-Off In Lagos Yesterday Our attention has been drawn to an online report suggesting that a Dana Air aircraft had an air return shortly after take-off from MMA2 on Monday, 10th June,2013.In as much as I feel indifferent about Dana Air, was also wondering how a plane could go up and then come down. Not like this is Hollywood. ![]() |
Smile Communications have finally launched their first in West Africa broadband technology; The 4G LTE. The 4G LTE is known to be four times as fast as the standard 4G Wimax and amazingly, it can stream up to three videos simultaneously without any buffering. Smile communications launched in Ibadan last month and they are rumoured to be going nationwide anytime soon. I personally used it while I was in Ibadan last week and it was off the hook. I just hope they come to Lagos soon enough. Ibadan users let's have your thought on the service.

tinuolababy: This must be A̶̲̥̅ jokeCan you imagine?? I fell in love with the post when I saw it. Wat a shame. |
Hey folks, I was as baffled as you are right now when I heard about this. I was discussing with a friend some days back and he told me that it now costs 1.2 Million naira for a 2 minute video on NTA Newsline. When I heard this I asked just two questions; · Does the NTA Newsline still exist? · If it still does, who in this country watches NTA Newsline? When you can get CNN or Al-Jazeera on your television sets for as low as N1,000, what will entice an individual to actually sit back and watch a 10pm news show that will bring news to people that probably might have already heard about them on Facebook, Twitter, Nairaland and the rest? How many people have given you calls about your video after it was posted on NTA Newsline? Am I missing something here? I pray I’m though. If you need a word for this, I can lend you one; INSANITY! I mean, how can you pay N1.2 million for a 2 minute video that; · You cannot pause, rewind or make reference to at any time of your choice? · Doesn’t even guarantee you a clear video? · You probably might miss if you had other things to do at that time? · You do not even know how many people are watching it? (Forget all false claims of wide viewership)? · You do not know the kind of people that watched it? (Demographics) Some people say their ‘oga at the top’ loves the show. Is that enough reason to splash out N1.2 million for a 2 minute video? Why do you have the internet? Why do you have Youtube? My advice is simple. Please go for value. The internet will offer much more value than this with less than half that price. The internet is measurable. It’s better to give the money to charity than to do this. http://digi-critic..com/2013/04/12-million-naira-for-nta-newsline-is.html

I just had an interview two days ago and I was asked this question. Now note, I only had 2 years experience. I advice anyone that meets this question to always have one thing in mind; the employers have already made their decision. Always attach a price to yourself. The employers, in my case broke the 'salary structure' and are bombarding my phone with calls. I told them to give me 1 month but they want me to come on-board in a week. So always say an amount. If you're worth it, protocols and structures will be broken for your sake. |
dowjones: i spent a year in covenant and i know what the poster is saying. he was lucky his friend wasnt suspended. Covenant uni staff is like any average uni staff, they take bribes, sleep with students and do whatever lecturers do (a friend of mine used to bang one female lecturer like that those days).. Dont bother pushing this matter to Oyedepo because your case will NOT be treated fairly (i'm sure you know that)I know, thanks bruv. I have had people telling me to pursue the matter with the law but I really do not have the stamina for that. I just feel its unlawful. Most of them are just plain overzealous and the man (Oyedepo) doesn't know half of what goes on there. Imagine the Security heads telling the other security men to have broken my two legs before they came. Just imagine. |
The OP is a very funny guy. My car, my laptop, my phone blah blah blah! ![]() First of all, I'm not a fan of Oyedepo and his colleagues. However, I respect the way he runs his business empire even if I don't agree with most of it. I've visited friends (students and lecturers) at Covenant University a couple of times. I as a visitor know that they maintain certain rules irrespective of who you are over there. Just the lecturer said, its either the OP has low retentive memory, an outlaw or just bent on blackmailing Convenant University. I think its all of the above given that he is an alumni of Convenant University. He knows the rules! The OP foolishly went ahead to tell us how he bribed the security operatives only to call them hypocrites cos they work in the christian University. In the law court, you wouldve been doing time for bribery while your mumu friend wouldve been rusticated from the school. To avoid all these next time, obey the rules of any place you step into....or simply, do not go there!
I am very sorry but aren't you just a retard? Can you tell me 1 offence I committed before all the drama started? I was held for up to an hour by the hall gates. Gates I walked past when going out to reach for my car. I don't drive at night and I was being delayed. You obviously haven't been in that situation before. And you come here to lie to us that you are not an Oyedepo fan. Crap! You don't love that man as much as I do. But the people that work with him are just bunch of overzealous retards and hypocrites. Understand the post before jumping to anyone's defense. Mugu! |
