No sir. I'm not desperate for the assignments. I'm not jobless. The assignments are side gig for me. If I'm not doing them, I've got something else that will fetch me even a higher amount of money.

The major reason I contacted her was to help her get her assignments done and earn from it. It's me actually helping them not that I rely on it for survival.

I never meant it to be a business and I didn't ask her to link me up with anyone.

So, she can hold her connect. I'm not sending her a dime from the money the cousin sent but I'm willing to give her going forward since that's what she wants.

A male undergraduate classmate of mine linked me up with his friend that was doing his masters in UK. I did assignments and projects worth over 500k for this guy yet that my classmate didn't even care about it.

I only willingly sent something to him and wrote off his debt to me as a thank you.

In a similar incident, another girl I met at the Lagos state NYSC orientation camp who has remained my friend even after she got married just traveled to the UK to do her masters.

She brought her own assignment to me and I billed her based on the relationship we've had over the years.

Now, this girl sent the money and demanded that I should send part of the work to her in case something happens to me.

I really don't understand that statement. I've known this girl for years and never for a day did she try to reach me and I was unreachable. So because she sent me a meager 25k, something will suddenly happen to me that I will not be able to deliver her work to her.

Why are some girls this mean and wicked at heart?

There has been an upsurge in the number of young Nigerians traveling to the UK for studies.

I'm sure most people here must have known one or two close friends that have left Nigeria to the UK in the last 2 years.

There's this girl I met at Lagos NYSC orientation camp during my service year. We became friends and have been in touch all this while. She is from my home state and her family house in the village is close to mine. She left Lagos to Port Harcourt after our service but I used to see her during Christmas whenever I travel to the East.

I checked her WhatsApp status recently and noticed the background of her photos didn't look like Nigeria. I asked her and she told me that she has left Nigeria to UK to do her masters.

I congratulated her and told her that I do assignments for people especially students in diaspora. She said okay that her cousin has been looking for who to assist her with her assignment. The cousin traveled together with her for the studies.

So, she gave my number to her cousin who got in touch with me. We reached an agreement and she sent part of the money so I can get started with the assignment. I billed her lower than what I would ordinary have billed her because of the relationship I have with the cousin.

Fast forward to few days later, this my friend chatted me up asking for her cut from the money her cousin paid me. I was more than shocked because I never saw it coming and I'm sure the cousin would be so disappointed if she gets to know that her cousin came to me to collect a kickback from the money she paid.

I told her that she didn't tell me it was a business for her so I could factor that in while billing her cousin.

She said she has two people who need help with their assignment. I told her that I will give her the commission from those new people since she's indicated that's what she wants.

But this girl has talked to me in a very condescending manner. I don't know if it's because she went to UK or what. I have known this girl for years but I never knew her to be like this.

Why are some girls this mean?

PLD starts 9am to 3pm. A friend suggested I give my car out to someone to be delivering to me since I won't be having time but I declined.

Even if I work from 5pm to 10pm for 5 days, I will earn more than the 25k the person will be delivering and my car will still be in good condition.

Some inDriver rider no get conscience. From Ajao to lekki 3400 and some driver will do it with this fuel scarcity. Uber mess up. Bolt took over. Now bolt de mess up, inDriver will soon take over. The engine of this business is car and driver. Bolt way of reducing scores doesn’t make sense. Why will u decline a trip and ur score goes down. Once u decline, U won’t see the persons contact.

Bolt created market for InDriver with blocking of drivers. The same thing that gave them relevance when Uber was blocking drivers for the silliest reasons.

I got blocked 3 days ago for the abuse of the arrival button. Instead of going home to cry, I have used Uber and InDriver and I still met my daily target.

Uber fares are so ridiculously low. I was only able to meet my target because I completed 11 trips and qualified for 5% service charge. I spent close to 2 hours from Mile 12 to Lekki Phase 1 due to the heavy traffic on Osborne to Lekki Ikoyi Link Bridge to Admiralty Way and Uber said that I should collect 4300. Like 4300? Out of vexation, I canceled the next trip I picked already going to Ajah because I might spend all that time in traffic and Uber will say, collect 1800.

InDriver is the last option for me. You pick a request and cancel and you get charged for a trip you never embarked on and there's no way to contact their support as I was told that I'm not eligible to chat through inapp and the email I sent was never responded to.

When Fiverr was booming for me, there were times I earned over 800k per month with less stress.

The picture I have on Bolt is the one I took when I was still earning very well on Fiverr. I was looking robust with fat cheek and all. Most riders will see me and say that the picture they are seeing is different from the person they are looking at, I will just shove that away but deep down, I'm hurting.

It seems to me like moving from Grace to grass. My friend just sold about $900 from his Fiverr earnings at the price of 710/$. Do the maths and tell me how long I would need to drive on Bolt to earn that.

I went for Bolt inspection and I was told to repaint my bumpers and remove my car seat because it's torn.

I repainted for 12k, bought the car seat for 32k (leather) and changed my AC filter plus gas for 7k. That's 51k spent in less than two days. That's not inclusive of the 20k I paid to VIO and other miscellaneous expenses on the car.

So, even if I net 300k on Bolt, I am spending 100k plus on the car even though my car is not a problematic one.

A software engineer will earn in a month, what you earn in a year. It is a program that is worth it if you can find time to drive for just four hours in a day just to pay bills.

Please I need your advice, I'm currently working in a company where my salary is about 70k and I work Mondays to Saturdays.

I own a Toyota Car and I registered Bolt just last week,started working last week too just in the evenings. Because my work is 8 to 6PM. So what I've been doing are just evening Trips, 6 to 10pm at most then I go home. But since I started, I've really been considering quitting my job and go into Bolt full time.

I will advise you NOT to quit your job to do Bolt FULL time.

Those times you work (6pm-10pm are peak periods. The money you make within that four hours, you may not make from 8am-2pm (6 hours).

I noticed that the days I start working from 2pm to 10pm, I make more money than working from 9am to 9pm.

When you start working by 9am, you get exhausted and retire before or by 9pm. Unlike when you start working by 2pm, 10pm you are still very energetic.


You will tend to gross more with lesser frustration. Yes, as evening approaches, all the law enforcement agents start leaving the road and you can get away with some mistakes.

Any time I get a job that will take me away from driving for two days, I am more than happy. The passion you have now will wade off as time goes by and you will be compelled to drive since that's the only thing you can do to earn a living.

Do you think people in Nigeria do not own foreign domiciled google accounts? As far back as 15 years ago I created a google account with a google voice number domiciled in the United States market for certain jobs and it works till today . If I’m doing anything with that account google still regards me as an American user and if I decided to monetize they will remunerate my works as an American domiciled account . Even on my palasa iPhone, I registered my apple account as an American and today all my newsletters, App Store recommendations, and payment services are done utilizing the American ecosystem, I pay for my apps in dollars (with gift cards) instead of naira and apple does not care if I’m in Nigeria or not. That’s the exact same concept I’m speaking of here. There are some applications people can download here in Nigeria that I can’t see on my own App Store to download because my phone isn’t tied to the Nigerian/African market inversely there are some apps on my phone that you will search for from now till next year on your own App Store but you will never find because your own market is tied to the Nigerian/African ecosystem.

Some people know or heard about this concept above but they could never tie it into this issue of YouTube monetization and how to circumvent the low pay that other countries like Nigeria have been punished with achieving.

It’s ignorance sheer, pure and undiluted IGNORANCE and it always turns around to bite you in the as*s at the worst time possible.

Outside using whatever tricks to circumvent your true identity, YouTube pay less for Nigeria views and not to Nigerian YouTubers.

What I mean is that if a view/click cost #1 for a Nigerian viewer and $3 for an American viewer, the Nigeria YouTuber will earn $3 if his YouTube is viewed and or his affiliated ad clicked by an American.

It is not a question of where you are, it is a question of where your audience are.

VIO held me at Anthony and said that my Hackney permit has expired. They took me to their office and gave me a ticket for LASDRI penalty.

The truth is no matter how people come to this thread with their laziness mentality to discourage people there are still people who are making money from this hustle and don't even care. We don't pray to drive forever. The goal is to drive and setup a good business or move out of the country. It's not a bad idea if u still raise money from this hustle to start business while driving will now be once in a while thing.

I carried a guy today who's into all this printing business. We couldn't use AC because of the smell from the chemical used to print on the paper. He was telling me how all of them in the office do get sick from the chemical mixtures they use for printing.

I drive now more than I used to because Fiverr experienced a great decrease in providing gigs for us, I am supposing that the hardship in America could be a contributing factor.

But when I was working solely on Fiverr and now that I drive more often on Bolt than before, I suffer waist pain doing both jobs, just that one pays higher than the other.

Although brushing up my IT skills, I am currently using Bolt to pay bills which isn't a bad thing. The bad thing would be borrowing from family and friends because Fiverr isn't paying as it used to pay.

You can no longer use rider did not show except you are close to the rider. What I now do is to click arrived if the reason I wanted to cancel is because of drop off destination. I will then drive closer to the rider and and cancel. This depends on the proximity of the rider, otherwise, I cancel immediately.

I heard some local government touts were arresting Bolt drivers at Ago Palace area and billing them 15k citing that Lagos state government does not pay them their own share of the ehailing taxes.

These and many more are important issues bothering the business that we should be discussing here. People can hardly share their daily experiences because some other people who delight in cracking uninteresting jokes won't stop.
