Regarding the airport parking fee, it's never the driver's fault. That's a glitch from Bolt. It has happened to me twice. One was the day a rider was going to Airport Road. The map erroneously took us to MM1 but that wasn't their destination. We then went to MM2. At the end of the trip, Bolt added the parking fee for both MM1 and MM2 (500 naira and 650 naira respectively). It was like a 3.0x surge for me. I'm surprised the rider paid without complaining. For the person saying the driver might have started the trip at the airport, that's false. I started this trip far away from the airport. I have passed through the airport road many times and it hasn't happened again. So, it's an error that happens sometimes. |
Who noticed it's more difficult to earn 10k in this business than to earn 20k? Like, you will drive from 8am to 1pm and yet your gross earning is 8700. But once you cross that 10k margin, you will not even know when you get to 20k and above ![]() |
Yakson5:Why not sleep inside your car till tomorrow morning when the hotel opens for booking. ![]() |
A hp notebook with an Intel core i7 4th generation, 8gb RAM, 500gb hard drive will do if it is second hand oh, because these laptops are costly if you want to get them new, else if you want to go for a new one just settle for a notebook with core i5 4th generation, 4gb RAM and 500gb hard drive, though you'll have to settle for web design and basic system programming, I would have told you to get a Linux but you aren't a hacker or a systems programmer therefore settle for windows. Is this laptop good for data science https:///product/hp-15-11th-gen-intel-core-i5-12gb-ram-256gb-ssd-intel-iris-xe-wins-11-headset-5725753?gclid=Cj0KCQjw-daUBhCIARIsALbkjSbimZTM8qGQ6iMbSlOSjWVdw7A-O5VwY9zXpsM3FPaME5qIQlVY42gaAuoiEALw_wcB |
doyin01:If you are empty, not everyone is. Try go physical with someone like me and regret the day your mother born you. |
obinnashady:Your mother is a motherfucker. That's why she gave birth to an idiot like you. |
JovialJune:Pray you don't have someone like me in your family. You came from a supposed sane family yet you had to resort to insulting your generation to make a point even when the posts were not directed to you. Matthew 5:22 whosoever shall say "Thou fool", shall be in danger of hell fire. May the curse in your family continue to torment you all the rest of your life. |
IecheM:The truth is, you are too young to go into transportation business now. You are just 23. At 23, I was still an undergraduate. Don't be excited with the small daily income that you will be getting from the transportation business. You can do better than that as a fresh graduate. You might look 35 in the next three years if you should start this transport business. It's strenuous and draining. Also, no matter the car you get, you will still spend money on repairs, tyres, ball joint, this, that. I'm sure you have never own a car before. Please, calm down and think of something else. Think of something bigger. Are you thinking you will build on your mum's land with the 5k daily savings from the transport business? Think again. |
RESHARPENED:The reason he was able to beat his younger brother, an adult, is because he's stronger and probably bigger than him. And secondly, maybe because the younger brother isn't that financially capable. I am sure if it were his younger sister (an adult) that he beat before her husband and kid, the comments here would be different. I am the last born and stubborn. They have not born that elder brother well that will think of raising his filthy hands against me no matter what. Like I said, Op's younger brother doesn't have money thus the reason for the disrespect. You beat up an adult before his wife and child and you feel you've done well? Pray he isn't cooking something to serve you by surprise. I guess you have seen him finish. Try such rascality with me and watch me fight you tooth and nail from every angle. Nonsense. |
Bolt scammed me of my 2400 bonus today. A rider booked and I got to her desk and picked her. Less than 5 minutes int the trip, she received a call that her appointment has been canceled. She then asked me to turn and take her back to where I picked her. Immediately I ended the trip, bolt turned my app offline and never charged the rider. This means, it rated the trip as "never happened" and dropped my completion and acceptance rate. My next trip after that was a trip to Yaba from Lekki Phase 2. With all the traffic that made the trip last over 1 hour, 30 minutes, bolt charged the rider 3500. They couldn't believe it but they paid the exact amount and left. This is the reason I couldn't take more trips to cove for the effect.

Selfkontrol:I wanted to do something like this to my own father's house. Monogamous family but my sister's husband who's an architect advised against it. He advised I get my own share of the land in the village and start building there. I did and I don't regret it. |
ameri9ja:Bitcoin does not have an intrinsic value. Gold does. The argument of the guy that bitcoin has an intrinsic value is null and void. Just as fiat currencies (naira, dollar) do not have intrinsic value. Their only value is in what you can buy (exchange) them with. The value of naira when it's 350/$ is not the same now that it's 600/$. Same with what naira can buy in 2010 and what it can buy now. The only value of any paper currency lies in the purchasing power. I.e, what can be bought with it. Only if I bought bitcoin in 2017 when it was less than a thousand dollars. |
ovoP:It worked. Thank you. Please, I'm seeing runner for the shoes. I want to walk not run. How do I get the one for walking. |
Nancyamby:Another day, another format. Try harder ![]() |
ovoP:I need the code |
sandammy:I don't take trips beyond Sangotedo. Just start driving back, you might get request to Lekki Phase 2 or 1. Luck will smile on you if you get Mainland from there. I have this judgment to make about working on the Mainland VS working on the Island. If you want to make more money, work on the Mainland. If you want to improve your driver's score, work on the Island. Working on the Island comes with annoying short trips, little to zero surge, fairly good roads and riders that don't cancel arbitrarily. But Mainland has more longer trips, more surge areas, more bad roads, and higher cancelation rate. Most people on the Island book the ride from their home and will truthfully wait for you to come if you tell them the expected time of arrival. On the Mainland, some people book from the bus stop, bank, mall, etc., that they see 5 minutes as 5 hours. Some will tell you that they will wait only to cancel after you've driven 9 minutes and are 2 minutes away from them. I prefer working on the Mainland because it fetches me more money. But Island is good for meeting up bonus targets with high number of trips to be completed, increasing your driver's score and driving on a lesser bad roads. |
sweetman2022:We're looking for someone to go and stay with my grandma in the village. Accommodation, feeding and small token will be made available to her. This offer may not necessarily be valid to you but to someone else reading this. |

I have been driving my car since 2019 but have never changed the tyre myself. Anytime the tyre has problem, there are always owomida people to help change it for a small fee. It happened that I was driving from oshodi to Lekki and as I was approaching third mainland Bridge, my tyre collapsed. I parked and started learning left hand at old age. I managed to change it but my palms felt it. The sad thing is that immediately I was about tightening the nuts firm, two touts rushed to the place and seized the tyre that I brought out, asking that I should find them money. This touting thing is a menace in Lagos. Less than 100 meters from there, we met a dead body of an NURTW who was wearing their tithe collection uniform and a stick in his hand. If it was a car that knocked him down, I can't tell. But I commend Lagosians for having A1 in "Minding your business 101". The way people were driving pass the dead body, you would think it's a chicken that's lying fallow there. This is the second dead body I'm seeing on Lagos road since this year. One was a decapitated body at Carter Bridge. They just used tyre to barricade it if not, cars will mistakenly run over the body because people drive at high speed there. When I saw what happened to my hand, I just whispered to myself "How many times will they tell you that this country is not for you". ![]() Imagine if I should take cutlass or hoe to farm now ? I guess I will be admitted in the intensive care unit of the hospital. Please, what can I rub on this thing to reduce the pain and relieve it completely.

OlawaleBammie:The central bank governor is saying that the country cannot afford to let naira float freely in the open market without some form of intervention. IMF and World Bank wants the central bank to stop all forms of intervention, example, supplying dollar into the market to reduce the dollar scarcity that would have otherwise caused a decrease in the value of naira. But CBN governor is saying that Nigeria cannot afford to do that because it will have serious consequences in the economy. Naira could exchange for 2000 naira per dollar if CBN should allow it to float with the market forces (the forces of demand and supply). |
Glithronix:I think you were the guy asking why your bolt map always shows your car upside down. The reason is this, you will have to click on "navigate" in order to set the map to direct you like Google maps. Next time when you want to use the Bolt map to get to the riders destination, just tap the navigate option on the screen. NOTA BENE: Once you tap that navigate, you will need to click on the gear icon (three dotted lines) and click on "change" at the map option to be able to use the Google map going forward. |
YeyeGbami:This is the reason I don't do offline trips no matter the price offer. The driver should have come down from his car to follow the idiot to the shop. BTW, why does the rider have to come down from the car to make the call with the driver's phone? That does not seem right to me. The driver wasn't vigilant enough. |
Glithronix:This sh*t happened to me sometime last week. The rider asked that I should end the trip so she could take bike to her destination. We were going to Festac. I stayed in that traffic from 2pm to 6pm. I had to turn off my app because there was no need leaving it on. Just pray you get out of the traffic soon. |
Ocholu:He thought he's on Facebook. Nairaland ladies are mature ladies and or boring folks. ![]() |
simpleseyi:I had one again that never told me that she is a single mother. It was after several sexual engagements that I saw a little girl she used as her profile picture on WhatsApp. When I asked her who the baby was, she confirmed she is her daughter. On probing further, I learnt that she moved in with the baby daddy and they lived like husband and wife for complete three years. The guy couldn't marry her because the parents of the girl refused to accept him based on the fact that he's from a state they don't want, so she told me. I felt really disgusted. You know what it means for a girl to live with a man performing all the wifey duties for a whole three years. Well, that marked the end of our sexlationship. After several encounters with these single mothers, I became afraid to conclude that one out of every ten girls you meet out there is a single mother. |
yuping:Liked her for fu*king and not marriage. I'm not stupid. ![]() |
yuping:Sleeping with them and marrying them are two different things. Sometimes, one even gets to know that they are single mothers after several sexual encounters. That's how one deceived me the other time. I met her and she was looking so young. On the day she was to visit me, she told me that her sister left a year old child with her and she doesn't have anybody to leave the child at home with. I believed her and asked her to come with the child. When she came, I teased her that her mates in the north already have kids. The baby slept off and we got down to business. It was in the second round that I pressed her breast and milk came out. I didn't believe my eyes. I pressed it again and the breast milk rushed out more. It was then the yeye girl covered her face with her hand. It happened that the so called young girl I taught I was dealing with is a lactating mother. So you see? She couldn't even wait to wean her child before continuing where she stopped. I should marry such person because I can have sex with her? |
thorpido:Maybe you are right. But what is missing isn't in a negative way. My brothers have left home to learn trade before I was born. I never ever lived with them pass two weeks that they spend at home whenever they come home for any reason. I don't have any memories shared with them. The age difference is pretty much. So, you see that it's not necessarily because we have bad blood within ourselves, it's just that there was never any bond and they are more like uncles to me than brothers. We operate on different spheres of life. |
Calibrator:Sounds like it. When you are busy chasing money in the streets, you will not even know who called you and who did not. Sometimes, when my sisters call, they'll be like, it's been a while. I don't even know it is. |
