Omoapena:10k for the risk of driving from Lagos to Ibadan. How much from Berger to Lekki again? He should be able to take home 20k after all expenses to make it worth the risk biko. We should stop selling ourselves cheap. Even if it's his car, the risk and stress is still worth paying for. |
Barbiturate:What I meant is after commission using all the apps. Where do you want to see trips on Rida alone that will fetch you that amount in a day |
Tgiirl:You will not see what every other person bid but you will see the cheapest offer. It will be at the bottom right with the tag "Best Offer" and Rida will tell you that other driver(s) made a better offer, consider lowering your price to secure order. With Rida, I still net 20k+ after commission. It's easier to secure orders on Rida than on Indriver. Indriver drivers don't even check where the rider is going before clicking accept. Their fastest fingers is on another level. Sometimes, I use to ask if some drivers wrote a Javascript code to auto accept orders. |
Tgiirl:It took GRACE yesterday for me to be able to complete my 8th trip on Bolt to win their bonus. Bolt that used to give request back to back. God help you if you set destination trip, you will wait forever. I just had to use any of the other apps to make up for the ride scarcity. There's general decline in movement around the city but Bolt seems to take the hit the most. |
These guys have never met a rider that will pretend to understand only to send 2k at the end of the trip. You will try to fight but don't have any evidence to back it up since your app documents 2k while your stewpid mouth negotiated a higher fare price.
|
Tgiirl:Like the screenshot below where the ehailing price is 4600, rider put 4600, a driver reduced the price to 4400 in the name of competition. It's crazier on Rida because of zero commission. At the end of the day, people end up doing trips at a price far lower than what they will get even if 25% commission were to be removed from the actual fare.

Conner44:Modern laptops don't come with CD/DVD rom. It's that simple. Most software and movies are gotten electronically, thus there is no much need for that specification. HDMI is just you looking for what is not lost. My two laptops have HDMI yet I have never used it for once for anything. That feature isn't too important for someone that's not a game freak. |
What this election will cause in this country sha |
MoonlightDrive:I can't believe I shunned Bolt 5600 bonus yesterday and still made enough money for myself. Bolt will regret their strict policies very soon. The longer pick up without giving an option to decline is becoming the biggest challenge with working with Bolt. The stress of trying to save your driver's score and also the stats required to get their bonus is really much. Sometimes, I'll burn fuel and drive for 7 minutes just to get closer to the rider and cancel with rider did not show. The only upper hand Bolt still currently has is the fact that they have more riders than other apps for now. |
Glithronix:Obviously you haven't used Bolt for months now. This is a feature that has been available for some time now on Bolt. |

IamtheTruth1:Bro, I did not disclose my net worth to her and that's the reason she's acting up. If I do, I'm sure she will behave well which I don't want because that will mean influencing her feelings with materials things which I don't want to do. I just put it out here for those that are quick to condemn or judge people from afar or based on their job. |
Yugoslavia247:I don't blame any lady for ensuring that any man she wants to be with can take care of her. That's as important as any other thing in a relationship. But not getting to know someone and judging from afar at the first instance seems dumb to me. I believe wealth can be built and two people can work together to create wealth. I may not be super rich but I'm certain that I can raise 3-5 million to set up a business for my wife. I am the last born of my family and most of my other siblings are doing quite well too. I have a lot of tech skills, have education up to MSc level. What other potential does a girl need except that the girl is naive and ignorant. |

I will do that. But, do you need help with your research work or you want to learn how to do the research. |
Phenomena1:Reality will dawn on them on graduation. I have a sister that's a nurse working in a federal hospital. Trust me when I say that she's among the poorest in our family. A roommate of mine when I was in year 1 took jamb and moved from Agricultural Economics to Pharmacy. To him then, he has hit a jackpot. I graduated 2016 and finished my service 2018. Have been working since that time and have really done well for myself considering how short I've been in the labour market. This my roommate just graduated and awaiting service. He's currently 32 years old and earning less than 90k a month where he's doing internship. The truth is, it will take him 3 to 5 years more to get to the level that I am currently. Getting married is not an option for him at this time. In fact, his only hope of making it right now is to leave Nigeria. Of course, this has become the new normal. People finding escape route once it seems nothing is working for them here. So, I've seen enough medical professionals around to tell that it does not guarantee more than just an average lifestyle. |
Persephone1:I told her that I am a tech person which is true. But when I'm not working on my computer, I use my time to drive on Uber. I normally tell her that I'm going to work but she didn't know the type of work that is. I never wanted to take her serious until she started giving attitude that women are known for and my friends starting telling me how important her course of study is. I doubt I care much about that because I'm not looking for a woman to come and feed me. I can take care of myself comfortable. |
I have to create this thread after reading through the topic on front page asking for jobs/professions that will make you not to marry someone. So, I'm talking to this Unizik student that's studying medical radiography. Everything was going well. She even told me that she has told her mother about me and all. We met on Facebook and she's already asking to see me in person. Until the day she found out that I use my car for Uber/Bolt business, everything changed. This girl stopped talking to me. She has never been to Lagos and does not know how Uber works. She was asking how much I earn in a day, and that hope the Uber is not like their normal school cab that charge 100 naira per person, bla bla bla. Well, I just don't want to let her know my net worth. I don't do Uber full time. I work on Fiverr and because sales dropped there, I decided to use Uber to make up for the income. I also do academic research for foreign students. Etc. I am into a lot of stuffs that fetch me nothing less than 400k a month so I don't think I should be regarded poor. My house in the East is at roofing level. I am almost completing the payment of 4.5 million for a land I'm purchasing at Mowe, I own my car plus another Sienna I bought when Fiverr was booming. I have a masters degree. So, should a girl reject me because I use my car to drive on Uber? I am just laughing at her ignorance. The other time, we were talking and I jokingly asked her why she's putting on make up, and she was like, so she can find better suitors. I thence assume I am not a better suitor because to her, I'm poor. This is someone earning 8k per month in the school that she was teaching during ASUU strike. I wonder why women are impatient when it comes to taking decisions and that's why most of them regret later. I am supposing being a medical student makes this girl think she deserves someone better than just a cab driver. LOL. |
Pearl1910:This looks like Bolt issue. I use Fidelity and I'm yet to receive mine |
SamuelTaiw0:There's an Uber inspection center along that axis too. Just immediately after the right turning to Anthony Village Road, the sign is outside there, close to Arcview investment company. |
kingviny:The current house I live in, I am the only Igbo person and have been the only Igbo person here for the past 5 years that I have been living here. When I came to rent this apartment, the landlord made the same statement that he doesn't want an Igbo tenant. They only managed to accept me because I was doing my youth service then. Some years after, a Yoruba tenant arrested our landlord with police. I don't know what the problem was, but that was never done by an Igbo tenant. Most Yoruba tenants here don't pay their bills on time and the landlord cannot take decisive action against them because they are Yoruba. Sometimes, we will stay 5 days without light because some other tenants refused to pay their utility bills. What a Yoruba tenant will do and Yoruba landlords will not stereotype, an Igbo tenant will do and the landlord will tell the whole world and quickly generalize. |
BernieLee:Where are the nasty things bikonu ![]() |
BernieLee:Bro, you are a man. I'd implore you to let go of the money. It doesn't worth the stress you are going through just to recover it. Sometimes, you do things for the sake of God and humanity. If I had seen this your message before you reported, I would have offered to pay you the 2200 naira. It's no big money to go about reporting the driver and now threatening to paste his number here. Riders do run us street as well and not all that we do report. A rider carried load yesterday and pressed it hard on my car wash thereby breaking the container and spilling all the contents. The car wash I bought 1500. When I asked for a compensation, the wicked Alhaja just walked into her gate and shut it. My car interior leather now sells for 32k from 18k that I do buy it. The day a rider put load at the back seat that tore that leather I put less than 2 months ago, I got only sorry as my compensation. Riders will enter your car and be complementing it complaining of how bad the previous rides they've used had been forgetting that it cost a lot now to keep the car in shape both interior, exterior, and the suspensions. |
obinoral1179:Don't encourage this. Drop his number and call him, and what next? I don't support the driver but this is not a rider's forum where they should seek punishment against drivers. Solidarity forever, solidarity forever, solidarity forever, we shall always fight for our own, solidarity ![]() |
BernieLee:But this Bolt fare can be ridiculously low. Imagine staying in traffic for 1 hour plus and the bad roads going to Ipaja and yet Bolt put the price at 4300. By the time they remove their 25% and the driver removes fuel money that he bought at 250/litre, how much will be left for such a stressful trip. Reason I don't think twice before canceling requests going to such forbidden axis. I'm sure if you were to use indriver, without putting up a reasonable amount of money, you will old at that airport as no one would be willing to take you to iyana ipaja of all places inside that mad traffic for 4300 if you'd put that as your price even when they are paying 10% commission. Bolt will not give you any favorable response because transfer is not part of the payment method. I see riders like you as petty. You could have left the money but you don't want to. Stop this excuse that the money is not big to you if not the driver's attitude. This is not supporting the driver. It has happened to me before and the difference in price is just 500 naira. I gave the petty rider 5k cash to give his girlfriend that was traveling yet he couldn't let go of 5h. Well, when he sent his account details, I sent him 400 naira deducting 100 naira for POS charges. Yes, I don't owe them that favor so I decided to charge. What happens is that riders rejoice when the fair is ridiculously low even when they know that it's unfair to charge such amount for spending that long time in traffic. Bolt is annoying without surge. |
It's like this Rida ain't accepting new drivers at this time.

LUAN1:How old are you? When I hear adults say "my father this", "my mother that", it irks me. You have your life to live outside your father. Take a decision and stand by it as an adult that you are. You are calling your brother a SIMP. If you can't dawn your dad that lives in the village and get an apartment, is it the woman in the same apartment with you that you can stand up to? You might end up being the bigger SIMP when you marry. ![]() |
Osobi32:I have a reliable driver that will put your vehicle in good use on Bolt and Uber. |
Please I need someone to install television POP in Lagos |
bolu1986:Are you still into this business. I tried calling your number but it isn't going through. I need your service somewhere in Lagos |
Mino1000:Dealing with women is sensitive and dicey. If you didn't make efforts |
A girl can have your phone number on her phone for 2 years without texting nor calling you. There's this girl that I met in 2017 in Uniben. She was doing her Jupeb program that time while I was preparing for my youth service. We both spent good time with each other then until I left Benin to Lagos in July 2017 when I got posted to serve in Lagos. We continued to communicate until her numbers stopped going through. So we lost contacts and never got to speak again and that was still that 2017, less than two months after I left. I have been hoping to run into this girl someday since she stays in Lagos but that never happened. Fast forward to January 2022 when I went to buy some clothes for my Masters degree convocation at Unilag. I was about to pay for my clothes at a shop at Mandillas, Lagos Island, when I saw a girl and I was like, who's this fine girl. On a second look, her face looked familiar. Because it's been years we last saw, I needed to be sure it's the person I was with some years back. So, I asked if she's Chidimma, of which she affirmed yes. We greeted and exchanged contacts. She later told me over the phone that she was shopping for some items to return to school. She left Lagos two days after we reconnected and we continued to chat and talk over the phone. I thought it was a divine reconnection because I have improved a lot from the person that I was then both financially and otherwise and she's currently in her 500 level. A good time to start something serious isn't it? Lol. In February, ASUU strike happened and she was forced to return back to Lagos. She informed me all through the time about her return and all. When she got back to Lagos, I tried to see her on several occasions but it didn't work out. She would give one excuse or another. Even when we live close to each other. She stays at Yaba while I stay at Shomolu. There was one faithful Monday that we both agreed to meet. I called her several times on that Monday but she didn't pick up. I called her with my number that she didn't have and she picked up immediately. As soon as she realized I was the one on the phone, she ended the call and never picked up again. I was like, this is bull$hit and childish at the same time. I thought at her current level and age, she should learn how to behave better but I was wrong. If for any reason she wasn't able to meet up again, the responsible thing to do is to pick up and tell me that we can't meet again and I will take it that way. I had to ask myself a reflective question after which I deleted her number from my phone and deleted our WhatsApp conversation. It's been several months since this incident happened and this girl has never gotten in touch with me either through calls or WhatsApp messages or anything. I have forgotten someone like her exists. I was surprised to get a message from an unknown number yesterday asking me for a financial assistance to do her project. This girl didn't even deem it fit to say a greeting and ask how I'm doing. At least, she could have pretended a little before going to make her DEMAND. I wouldn't have gone straight to ask who's this if not the way she went straight to demand urgently for financial assistance. I just stopped responding after she introduced herself because it would make it look like I want the conversation to continue. No need asking about the incident of the last time since I don't care anymore about it or her. I've moved on. Now, the major reason girls hardly delete a guy's number from their phone is because of moments like this when they might need the help of the person that is undeserving of their time and attention. Do some guys really fall for this type of girls? Like a girl will surface from nowhere after ignoring you for months and make a financial demand and you will honor it? Because I don't understand where these girls get their confidence from to act in this manner. So shameless if you ask me.
