Yesterday, April 10th, Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, turned 61 years old and celebrated his birthday in style with family and colleagues present. Besides several accolades he received on his birthday, he was also hosted to an office celebration by his employees.

The business mogul also had series of birthday cakes in several designs presenting his vast empire. From a mosque to a Dangote cement Truck, Refinery and a Farmland.

A woman has been overwhelmed with joy after undergoing a successful surgery to to remove the goiter she carried for 10 years.. The woman who revealed how the growth had been a burden to her - reportedly said after the surgery; “I am so comfortable now, I feel free to move and eat and breathe with no problems!”

According to reports, her family has even started calling her ‘the resurrected one,’ believing she has come from the brink of death back into a full life

A husband who was accused of beating and brutalizing his wife - has asked for her forgiveness after the news went viral. The Lagos based lady accused her husband of maltreating her after she advised him about drinking alcohol.

According to the woman, her husband who takes drugs to control his high blood pressure - allegedly descended on her after she told advised him against taking alcohol for his own health. The woman also claimed this is not the first time of being beaten in her marriage as she alleged that the husband no longer wants to take care of their child.

Now, according to ‎Emeka Ugwuonye‎, the husband has been asking his wife for forgiveness for the shameful acts as it has been said that the man must sign a tough and stringent undertaking not to touch his wife again or risk going to prison.

Two notorious armed robbery/murder suspects were paraded before newsmen at the Imo state police command. The suspects Chukwudi Ezeala ‘m’ aka ‘infinity’ 33yrs of age of Umuodu Umukabia in Ehime Mbano L.G.A. and Chizoba Ihedioha ‘m’ aka ‘Sunlight’ 25yrs of age of Mgbakam Okohia Obowo L.G.A. in company of two others now at large on 17/02/2018 robbed and murdered one Jude Emeka Onye ‘m’ who just returned from Spain.

The victim and others were drinking at a joint along Amainyi Obowo when the hoodlums struck and robbed them of their GSM handsets and other valuables and in the process killed the victim.

One Highlander Jeep without registration number and one Toyota Corolla with Reg. No. WER729 LC suspected to have been stolen were recovered from them.

The suspects have confessed to the crime and will soon appear in court. Serious efforts are being made to apprehend the fleeing members of the gang.

Meanwhile, in compliance with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim K. Idris, on disarmament of prohibited firearms and illegal weapons, the Imo State Police Command today 10/4/2018 showcased recovered prohibited firearms and ammunition at the State Police Headquarters, Owerri.

The categories of arms and ammunition so far recovered are as follows:

1. No. of Guns 168

2. No. of Catridges 99

3. No. of Ammunition 2323

4. No. of Empty Magazines 25.

Congratulations are in order for a woman who recently welcomed a bouncing baby with her husband after 15 years of marriage. The baby's dedication was held today at a church in Calabar, Cross River state capital.

A young man has been apprehended after he and three accomplices robbed a woman of her ATM Card. According to reports, the woman explained that while using the ATM at a service station she was distracted by the suspect while his accomplices stole her bank card.

As the suspects ran towards a brown Toyota Corolla, she screamed for assistance.

Onlookers managed to apprehend one of the men while his accomplices fled in their getaway vehicle. The mob demanded that the suspect hand over the bank card and when he informed them that it was not in his possession they began to assault him.

The suspect was severely injured during the assault.

He was placed under arrest and handed over to Police for further investigation.

A cancer survivor has shared her story in appreciation to God for saving her life after undergoing multiple surgeries. According to her, she was diagnosed with cancer when she was just 23 years old before she underwent various grueling treatments.

Her story was shared on Instagram. Read below;

I was diagnosed at the age of 23 , stage three colon cancer survivor who went through multiple surgeries , chemo ,and radiation and had an ileostomy bag for almost a year on my stomach and froze my eggs in case I wanted to have children . I also had a section of my colon removed .God saved my life , faith changed my life.

The death toll from Thursday’s robbery attack in Offa town in Kwara State has risen to at least 30. About 30 robbers had hit the town, raiding five commercial banks along the Owode Market Area of the town in Offa Local Government Area of the state.

The attack which lasted for hours had left the banks damaged with many feared killed and many more injured. The armed robbers were said to have made away with several millions of naira from the banks, leaving behind a tale of sorrow, tears and blood.

Initial reports had put the death toll at between 12 and 15, but the figure has risen significantly.

Nine police officers were among those killed in the attack while there are fears that the death toll may rise as some of the assailants were said to have attacked the police station in the area.

It was gathered that the gunmen arrived the town in seven vehicles and stationed themselves in each of the banks around 4:30 pm and held the town hostage before escaping through Igosun route in the area whey they allegedly abandoned the cars as seen in the pictures... The vehicles have been recovered at taken to the police station in the area..

Some residents in the area described the robbery as bloody and called for more security presence in the town, saying the incident has become an affair of every five years.

A 12-year-old boy has been found dead in a football field in Katsina state. According to reports, the boy went out to play at the field on Monday and didn't return home that day. His guardians launched a search for him the next day after declaring missing, only for his corpse to be discovered at the field.

His body was cut open and a rope mark spotted around his neck which suggested he was strangled or tied up before he was gruesomely killed. His vital organs were still intact, according to reports.

The police were notified of the development and his corpse deposited at the mortuary.

Residents who have been gripped with fear - are wondering what would have prompted the boy's killers to murder him in such manner.

Magistrate Eke Spiff, Wednesday, caused commotion in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, when she ordered all journalists who came to cover a case of obtaining by tricks against the founder of the God is Able Mega Fire Ministry, Apostle Abiekunogho, out of her court.

Abiekunogho is standing trial for allegedly obtaining a Toyota SUV and 20,000 Naira from a member of his church, Seiyefa Sayou, through a false prophecy.

It was gathered that when the case resumed for hearing, the visibly angry magistrate ordered reporters to leave her court.

She said: “All journalists should leave this court. We don’t do sensational here, the last time you came here this issue was reported in all the media, and this made people to call my phone from all over the country, so much messages in my whatsapp. All the journalists leave my court,”

The order by the magistrate emboldened the church members sympathetic to their pastor to threaten the journalists, who left the courtroom for the premises.

It was later learnt that the pastor reportedly asked his members to deal with any journalist who tried to capture him with camera.

Shortly after the court proceeding, it was gathered the pastor was shielded by his members to deter journalists from taking his photograph.

But as he made his way to a waiting vehicle, some journalists were said to have taken some of his pictures.

The development angered the church members, who descended on the journalists and gave them beating of their lives.

It was gathered that the church members threw caution to the wind as they continued meting out violence on the reporters and creating confusion in the area until policemen intervened to stop them.

The case was adjourned to 24th March, 2018 for further hearing.

A young man's death have left many in shock considering how he shamefully died. According to trending reports, the second year Computer Science student of Chuka University in the Tharaka Nithi County, Kenya allegedly killed himself by hanging and shared his suicide note online before his death.

He was said to have killed himself after issues with his girlfriend which he allegedly revealed in his suicide note before hanging himself.

His death has been heavily criticized by those who feel he died shamelessly because of a lady.

According to reports, a traveller was hacked to death by suspected robbers along Andaha Road, Akwanga, Nasarawa State. One other passenger who happens to be the brother of the deceased was also attacked and injured by the same hoodlums suspected to be Fulani men.

One of the suspects was reportedly arrested with a cutlass and also got himself injured following a stiff battle with their victims. The suspect is currently in police detention.
