Hello guys,i am trying to process a visa for my younger brother who has never travelled before and I need the advice of you gurus on here please. So our plan is to process all the visa requirements from top to bottom using my 2yrs old cac registered company based in Lagos.Because of his application I have gotten my company tax clearance and even left some bulk funds in the corporate account. For the past 3 months I have been using my corporate account to pay him 450,000 Naira monthly salary and given him the title of Director of Operations in the company. Where we need your advice, help is as follows 1.Pls which schenghen visa can we try out for him on a Virgin passport 2.Apart from the salary inflow in addition to about 350k left in his current account ,800k in his savings what other documentary evidence do we need to work on getting? 3.While researching on different threads,i came across a few comments making reference to other kind of tax please does he need to process any other kind of tax as a Lagos based employee in a private company? The last time I processed any kind of visa from Nigeria was 2003,and since then I have lost touch on modern visa application requirements, so I will appreciate any help or advice you can render. What we plan to do is for him to get a scheghen tourist visa go there for a few weeks ad back, renew it for the second time then I will process Uk visa for him using my own credentials and status. |
You are a daft and unrepentant fool, the kind of demented idiot who give idiots a bad name.Have you seen the statement credited to the Igwe of the igbo in Zamfara state supporting Ruga and condemning the calls for Northerners to quit south? is Ngige,Okorocha,Osita Okechukwu yorubas who fully support Buhari? but ou would ignore those bios supporting him to chortle your well worn, formulaic and tired narrative Temptee101: |
serves Britain right, they focused solely on African migrants as the cause of all the problems meanwhile others were busy doing anynow. Now that the have used UKBAto chase all the black people out they can face their real problem |
If anyone can link me with this girl I will be very gratefully want to support her with a small token |
Thrash!! I had my first experience in a Mercedes Benz (230E flat body) as a child when my late mother bought a brand new one then my dad has used a couple of Mercedes saloon cars till now, there is no point in Nigeria's history that Mercedes has not dictated the trend, till today its still doing so across generations, and it will continue to do so.I am on my second Mercedes Benz after trying a BMW,and Toyota and Honda during uni days. The drive, safety features ,resilience and understated luxury of a Mercedes is like comparing Mike Adenuga or Baba Ijebu Kessington with Money or Hush puppy then claiming these old billionaires are overrated because they don't showoff a lot of bling TheBoy1740: |
Association of bad belle jealousy infused people. Why don't you gather the money to buy a Mercedes first, experience it before doing a useless post shitting on people's cars.I bet the poster doesn't own a bicycle but individuals like them are the ones who will see you drive by minding your business and they will abuse your car as old or cheap and compare with E Money or Mompha rolls royce |
If I were based in the states and used the car in the US,i will take them to a small claims court and win damages. The vendor has the responsibility of disclosing every single detail especially when it has potential to impact the value of the item. Its like buying a house and you conveniently forget to mention rising damp that has been covered up by tiles antagonist: |
Thanks a lot indeed I have learnt my lesson wamiikechukwu: |
antagonist:Thanks for your comment, the reason for my grouse with them is the manner in which they handled my issues. And the less than transparent manner in which everything was conducted.Return ticket from Bham to New Jersey is less than $1,000 if I had gone myself I won't lose over $2k and physically inspect the car, save money by staying with my brother. Those are my regrets |
Good Afternoon Nairalanders,i have been a member on here for many years and gotten a whole lot of information via resourceful members in the different sections. When I decided to buy a car in the states Nairaland auto session was the first place I came to and found auction export. So after I went ahead to purchase a vehicle through them,i decided to come back here and relate my experience in the hopes that others who want to use auction export after me will be more careful and circumspect, ask the right questions and put unnecessary safeguards in place before parting with their hard earned money.I don't know if my experience is the norm or an exception but I can assure you that every single word I have written here is the truth and I regret ever buying a vehicle from auction export, even after my brother and an uncle warned me to just buy my car in a normal car lot in the states and get it shipped to Nigeria but I wanted a bargain. ============================================== I finally saved up enough for the type of vehicle I wanted to use in Lagos after a long while and began to ask people around for where to purchase a car in the US.I was living in the Uk before finally making the decision to relocate finally in 2017 but I needed to buy a really nice car which I had been saving towards for years. After trawling through Nairaland auto section and using google numerous times I settled on using auction export due to the absence of negative reviews, the overwhelming use of their company by Nigerians and absence of any fraudulent claims. So I found a friend's elder brother who had an auction export account and imports cars to Lagos, but the condition he gave me (5% of total valus of the purchase as his payment)didn't go down well with me or even sound fair so i asked my junior brother who is resident in the United States Hamilton,to register an auction export account. After he did he sent the login details to me and began to search for a car. One thing I quickly realised with auction export is that unlike normal auctions where it is meant to be a game of chance, where you can either win the auction by buying for a bargain or slightly above the market price, auction export has skilfully rigged the deck by making sure no single car on their platform will sell for below the market price. If you bid on a hundred vehicles and win the bid, they would pull or cancel if it didn't reach their desired threshold rather than allow the auction to flow to the end when there is no reserve price for the vehicle in question. You can argue that they are a business hence will do anything to secure their bottomline which is fair so i don't have a problem with that. My main grouse with auction export centres around a 2014 Mercedes Benz CLA250 I finally won the bid for and bought from them.As soon as I won the bid I began to transfer the money in tranches directly to the AuctionExport account, so i transferred all the complete payment including the almost $2,000 dollars hidden payments that did not reflect on the website. After we transferred the money into their account with proof of payment from the Santander Bank few days later auction export said the money did not reflect in their account, neither have they seen any record of such transaction.I sent them all the bank transfer evidence and in spite of that they began to charge me a late payment. **Please note that I had no single fault because I transferred directly to the account details I was given within the 3 days and with clear and verifiable evidence which I still have in my email.I went back to the Santander bank in Uk and they stated that the fault has to be with the recipient bank as they had zero issues from their end. After numerous calls to auction export which yielded no result because they made zero move to sort things out with their own bank.Their bank sent the money back to my Santander bank in the Uk with over $1,000 missing.Meanwhile I was still being charged late payment fees notwhitstanding the fact that the fault had nothing to do with me.I was able to do the transfers again this time using my junior brother's account in the US,and they finally acknowledged receipt of the money plus late payment charges. So we paid for the car and follow through on all the required steps and documentation. Because I am buying a used car at auction i asked that my brother be allowed to physically inspect the car at the auction export car lot, but they declined this saying the time allotted for inspection was before the auction hence no one could inspect until the car arrived at the port destination. The shipping and all the needless delays took over 1 month. Each time I called a staff to complain or get updates i will be politely dismissed on the phone like an irritant or they simply don't pickup the phone. When they finally give you an update its a repeat of the same thing over several weeks. After about 3 months to cut the long story short we take delivery of the vehicle via Grimaldi in the LagosPort. I began to discover a number of physical defects in the car which auction export did not disclose, either on the auction site or their emails when I requested for complete information about the car before I begin to make payment. *First the car has had a rear end accident which seemed pretty serious, the panel beater they used had done a bad job just filling with body filler and spraying on it, then the back bumper on the left was bulging out from the bracket, when i took it to a body shop to get it sorted thinking its just to reset the bumper and maybe buy new brackets, they said the bumper was crudely screwed on to the body as a sort of money saving strategy and pushing the car on to a buyer, the only solution would be to buy another bumper. Another discovery auction export failed to declare was the state of the front tires which I had to change within the first 3 months of using the car.Bear in mind that the car never left the Ikoyi to Vi axis within these months, hence it wasn't even due to excessive use or anything. While the tires were being changed we noticed the front brake pads needed to be changed as well.We checked the back same thing then the wipers as well all changed. The car had no spare tire, no jack, wheel spanner, see caution or any assesories you expect to find in a Mercedes Benz of 2014 model.I washing to start fighting the man that cleared the vehicle before he swore to me that it was impossible to vandalise via Grimaldi then he opened the section for spare tire and showed me the dust that had settled on it, if someone had removed the spare tire oral the other accessories there would be a clean outline not dust that had settled over several weeks or months of the car in transit. I reached out to Auction export expressing my disappointment and the lady who attended to my query began to patronise and effectively dismiss everything claiming ignorance.I simply stopped replying their mails because I was not getting anywhere and chalked it down to experience.I have not used the car for 2 yrs less than 50k miles but I can't wait to sell it add some money and buy my next car from registered car lot far far away from auction export. Thanks for reading and like I said before if you really have to patronise auction export please do so while shining your eye and making sure you learn from my unpleasant experience.Took me this long because I did not want to be reminded of it at all until I saw some posts on here from auction export representatives. |
Sorry I have been very busy since I wrote that comment I was going to relate my experience via retort to you but I decided to doit via post for the sake of people who are planning to buy from auction export Ehuatamuigunisi: |
Sometimes in situations like this simple advice might not be the solution.First try to do more research about your mother's childhood, was she bullied or abused by her parents or friends.I don't mean sex abuse but physical abuse. Also find out if she has had any traumatic episodes in her life while growing up which has never been dealt with professionally.Often times we Nigerians go through terrible episodes and we don't see a Psychiatrist or any counsellor then continue to live life thinking there is no residue remaining. My own mother has passed on many years ago but when she was alive she was a really tough woman who had a hot temper and very determined, although she didn't fight and all that she slapped few people who disrespected her.She applied her own to business and politics and she was very sucessful. If you check her family background as someone who grew up in a polygamous setting she had to fight to make her way and also through all of life's struggles. After you have done your research, find a day when she is happy and relaxed to sit her down in a quiet place and talk to her.Explain to her that irrespective of whatever she does you would always love her, then tell her how her behaviour makes you and other loved ones feel and appeal to her that you want her to get help e.g. psychological to manage the anger.Tell her you and your siblings will support and be there for her every step the way.Make sure you don't Abuse, judge or be condescending, judgemental.Another thing which also works for anger is encourage her to take up maybe exercise, gym or stress busting chores (you can google this)trust me she is not mad or an animal or unreasonable there is a reason for her behaviour.Rather than judge or condemn, put yourself in her shoes understanding help her joystarts: |
This thread is still running after almost 5years.I don't have any enquiry or request for travel advice other than appreciating @vicjustice @justwise @worry and all the other super awesome people on here. You guys deserve a bottle of wine each. What you are doing FOC is what dodgy immigration lawyers in London are doing to fleece Nigs of thousands. It is just shameful that many who have used your advice have not come back that least appreciate and update the thread.God bless you guys |
pls what is your WhatsApp or email I can reach you on Cyberknight: |
First you deny all opposition the use of public spaces by plastering Sanwoolu's banners everywhere, then you start vandalising and removing PDP Agbaje's banners. You send your area boys to intimidate opposition into silence.Even the Egbetokun you tried to impose in Lagos is the controversial thief who committed daylight robbery in the Osun and Ekiti but because his imposition was resisted you start posting rubbish all over the internet.Let me put you on notice when God is ready to show himself all the things you have been doing successfully will start going wrong. It started with your infighting ,then infighting amongst your bloodthirsty thugs God will confuse all of you in APC until Gbadamosi or Agbaje wins the election OEPHIUS: |

I have heard so much about the Japanese Sake alcoholic drink, being a sampler of all things alcoholic one day while having lunch at a popular Japanese themed restaurant which is a favourite of mine (Waga mama)I decided to do the lord's bidding and try the drink.I was taken aback at how similar the taste was to our Nigerian ogogoro. So when someone asked why Sake drink from Japan, Rice wine from China are doing well but our own indigenous Palmwine and ogogoro isn't achieving the same positive traction.I contributed that its all in the back story and how the product is perceived by the wider market demographic. It is the same thing with your start up and how potential investors view and aggregate the traction it has achieved. How formidable, compelling, intriguing and captivating is the back story behind Ogogoro/Palm wine as a product or business that would appeal to a non Nigerian/Non African? If you pick any Chinese,Japanese food or Drink they will conveniently regale you with a back story dating back to the Shang, zhou,Sui dynasty which draws in a potential already intrigued by the rich and compelling historical exegesis. Packaging, pricing, logistics etc all come AFTER you have carefully built a rich story around your start up, product. When I discovered John Obidi's FB Group, the first thing I did was to check out his back story ,how he started and gradually scaled up as an influencer, that appealed to me more than any achievement he has or rich resume. How many big people both home and abroad have you deliberately googled their back story, bought their memoirs/biography just to see how they started and how the values that shaped them and their world view impacted their business?think about it. Have you noticed many eateries all have the same story narrating how they inherited recipes from their mum or grandma, that is a compelling story. Even our Nigerian artistes sell their brand with a compelling story, from Olamide Baddo to Wizkid etc will often remind you of their journey from the ghetto to the high life and success. That compelling back story endears more fans to them that the actual quality of their songs. That is the power of a back story in a start up/product launch/marketing. Please develop a compelling, believable, captivating back story for your start up today. It WILL determine the tenuous link between getting another rejection from potential investors who feel a disconnect to what you are offering, and an investor who is emotionally swept along with your story. Happy Sunday folks, do have a great one #fundamentalsofstartupfoundraising #moneytalks #igniteyoursidehustle #ubuntuafrikkabusinesssolutions

The ecosystem around investing is changing rapidly and you as a founder needs to quickly adapt to the rapid changes to succeed in fund raising for your start up. I have met many entrepreneurs who complain about difficulties of raising funds for their start ups,but in my mind i always assumed this was only limited to those who are not exposed to digital media, numerous funding mechanisms on offer or lack social networking skills which is like key to success in our country. However after reading the report of a digital media campaign our company recently ran, targeting 25-34yrs old age demographic of start up entrepreneurs in Nigeria I had cause to change my mind, after I observed a consistent but worrying pattern cutting across the overwhelming requests from our responders. You see while we had a mix of requests’ from people who needed sales and marketing help, writing business plans and the likes a clear majority of people who responded had challenges raising funds either to start their side or main hustle, or even scale up capacity for optimal growth. For a casual watcher this might seem like an obvious challenge, until you pause to consider a lack of assistance from Govt agencies,Banks,Micro finance etc coupled with my interaction with some of these responders and research on the issue. As someone who relocated back to Nigeria from the UK,i took the proactive and engaging UK Government support and grants for small business as a right not priviledge, not until I realised that lack of support for Nigerian start ups goes beyond just raising funds alone, but confronts challenges like a deficiency of information and support regarding critical requirements an entrepreneur must get right to raise seed funding from Angel/seed stage investors,Peer-to-peer lenders,Venture Capitalists even personal investors which falls under friends, family and Organisations that raise funds for start ups especially in the 3rd world. I bet many of you who fall under the tag of #startupentrepreneurs have written countless proposals for funding but have been rejected multiple times, leading to frustration and a dilemma questioning what you did wrong. -Do you know if your pitch was convincing to investors or it raised several red flags you were not aware of? -were you even given constructive feedback or a condescending//patronising brush off? Answers to these seemingly common innocuous questions can diagnose a whole lot regarding the reason for your rejection. As a Business analyst and strategist of many years in the Uk,i have been opportuned to come across some of these organisations, attended seminars and also consulted for a few hence I have a lot of information and tips I intend to share with Nigerian start up entrepreneurs mainly on funding which I believe will benefit many and unlock their potentials. In subsequent write ups tagged #Startupfundingfundamentals series I will be sharing tips in the following areas of fundraising for your start up. -How to write a standard funding request/executive summary -when is the right time to seek funding -critical terms a start up entrepreneur must know e.g. letter of equity, post money safe, convertibles, equity. -types of investor funding and which is right for you. -How to convince an investor -secrets to a winning pitch/presentation -negotiations -legal due diligence to protect your investment In addition at a later date, I will share details of some international organisations funding African start ups across a variety of investment sectors.I hope you find the information I will be sharing subsequently useful for your business. #UBUNTUAFRIKKABUSINESSSOLUTIONS #Fundamentalsofstartupfundraising #igniteyourhustle

This is the problem some of you girls have. You complain about dating douchebags who are unfaithful, violent not caring etc yet when a nice guy shows up you don't want him.It is perfectly understandable for you to be shocked and confused at first, but if you are single or don't have a solid relationship give this guy a trial because after the beauty has faded, after several years of marriage only real friendship continues to sustain the marriage.Dont allow immaturity dictate wrong actions, think of your future and the kind of man that will be loyal and honest in the long term dont throw away a good thing o.Me that I am talking I had this opportunity In 2006 and I stupidly allowed friends to mislead me, since 2006 to now I have not met anyone else like this girl a man who knows her value quickly grabbed her and they are married now.Dont make a decision you would regret ritylove: |

Leave them now, they are probably teenagers still collecting pocket money.Same thing happened to a woman with 5 kids now all grown up, still living in the street I grew up.She met her hubby, got married and they built a bungalow while the man was into paid employ ,she operates a restaurant. After disturbing her hubby to see his family for several years, one day he told her to cook assorted dishes because his family were coming to visit them. She did as instructed then on the day itself the man walked out of the house saying his family were at the bus stop (which is like 15mins walk from their house) and he wants to go bring them back to the house.Few minutes after he left some people arrived at the house claiming to be the man's family from Ebute metta. The woman brought out the children and introduced them to the people who claimed to be the man's family and instead of being happy they all burst into tears. The oldest amongst them said the man had died several years earlier and when they got the summon to come to that house, no one even told them they were coming to see the man but to see some of the stuffs he left behind to this day the wife now in her 60s is still alive and living in same house. The children are grown up adults and everybody in that street who has lived there for more than 15yrs knows the story many of the older residents know the man in question blackfase: |
