humilitypays: Yes you have a point, but brother let me brag small, I am a born genius. If I was a white, I am supposed to be in the league of late Albert Einstein and co.
The person you are chatting with here finished reading Physics by Abot while I was in SS1, started studying Physics, Further Maths, etc right from Junior secondary. There was no Internet in my time.
I conduct physics and chemistry experiments in my room as a Junior secondary school student. When I got to senior secondary, chemistry, physics, further maths, etc were like book of my bible stories for kids for me. I was way above my mates right from nursery school.
I was a wonder kid. I won lots of school awards growing up. I do multiplication, division of even decimal figures with my head without calculator.
I helped so many people write waec, jamb, etc and they all passed. I was just too good academically.
I read virtually anything readable; holy books, science books, newspapers, magazines, even awake I never missed any of their publications all thanks to my wonderful Jehovah Witness friends that visit regularly for Bible study then.
I hardly go out cos I was engrossed with reading anything I see. I finished oxford dictionary page to page, Bible almost.
My point is, life experiences have taught me a lot, academic degrees, paper qualifications are nothing....wisdom, intelligence, success, smartness is not by your academic degrees or qualifications.
I didn't further after my first degree cos I saw no need, I saw that academic qualifications are a waste of smart and talented people's time, so I quit but I am far more exposed, learned, knowledgeable and better than most professors.
My mates call me prof till date cos they say I am a born prof.
So you guys should quit those paper qualification crap u use to measure people's success, future and intelligence, it's foolishness Hello sir, I do read your post and many of them resonate with me. I like your train of thoughts too. May I ask if you were born around September? |

rayobaba: Mmhmm, some people say give her belle. Still may not work and l don't support that. Some parent wl stl force their daughter to abort the pregnancy which is automatic the end of the relationship. I think the dad not after your HND, he has weighed it and felt you below her daughter educationally and that maybe you not rich. If you are so rich with your HND, papa may not think of HND. Continue with the relationship, be a man, don't be timid or weak, don't feel inferior, be caring and understanding to the girl, and lastly chase the cheque and continue to work hard and smart legally. Time will tell. I like this comment. He should not be timid, weak or inferior. He should continue to show care and understanding, and also work hard legally. He shouldn’t be tempted or encouraged to irresponsible behaviour, as many are won’t, due to his unsavory experience. I hope the OP will see these messages and heed them. |
Romance › Re: Her Parents Rejected Me Because I Am A Polytechnic Graduate by damesilver(m): 6:13am On May 03, 2020 |
landmark86: I graduated from Osun State Polytechnic, Iree. She also graduated from Babcock University.
We both met in 2015 during our NYSC at River State. We serve in the same PPA. She is good, lovely and caring. And to crown it all she is beautiful. I mean so beautiful.
It all started with friendship which later led to relationship. We share so many things together during our time in River State as per what the future holds.
After our NYSC, we both went back to our various base. She is based in Lagos while I reside in Osun. Immediate I finished my NYSC, I got a job with a private organisation as a factory supervisor. But she went further for her Masters in Covenant University, Otta. Despite the distance we still communicate from time to time and at times I do find time to check on her in Otta, while she also do check on me in Osogbo.
After her M.sc, her dad got her a job with a big company in Lagos.
Last year December she came to Osogbo as usual to check on me but fortunately she met my parents and my siblings at my place. They all love and accept her. When she was leaving the next day she told me that her parents told her that they want to meet her fiancé.
12th January, 2020 I travelled down to Lagos to meet her parents. When getting there I met her parents with her only sister. Her dad ask of my parents, state, my qualification and what I do for a living. I told him and immediately he stood up and told me he will never allow his daughter to marry an HND holder.
He said he can't send his daughter to a university & end up marry an HND holder. Never!!! Though my gal is not in support of that, even ever since that time till now she's not her self in that house. I truly love her and I know she truly love me too. But her parents is the major concern. Should I call it quit?
Please your advise is needed, what should I do? What is most important for me when deciding whom to marry is the compatibility, all else, do not matter much. It is good to progress both materially and spiritually. Do not be lacking in that respect. I also finished from a polytechnic, OSCOTECH, and I live in Osogbo. It woould be nice meeting you sir. Just last year I added a university degree. As regards your situation, I will advise that you pray for the wisdom of God. Do not throw the baby with the bath water. Exercise caution and patience, not anger or bitterness. It is good that your fiancee is much interested in you and that's the number 1. Stay doggedly and continue to do the inner work. Don't give up until you are sure that you've done your best to retain what you think is best for you. Do not force things however if it doesn't work out. Just stay and continue to converse with the your lady. Please do not listen to those saying girls plenty, beautiful bla bla.. That's not true bro. A good girl, nice and beautiful as you've described is not easy to come by. She's not even judging you by your "humble" conditions. Many ladies out there are directly opposite and will torment your life. I pray the lord be with you, sir. |

Julietsim: My husband and I have been married for almost 2 years now. He is a very good man . He is not a cheating type. The only thing is he likes sex so much that he always wants to have it everyday. I am tired. This lockdown has even increase the issue.
Please how can one cope? Is there any married lady that has experienced this. How did you handle it? Permit me to say this. Many comments are just like palliatives; they offer no real solutions but one that could further enhance your challenge, though they appear to offer temporary relief since the commenters too are no less ignorant like many of us. Dear madam, your story is an evidence that you both have not been studying the word of God diligent enough. As rightly said by “humilitypays” We are not married just for sex and procreation only. To de desiring to have sex almost on daily basis is quite unnatural. The mind has been wrapped in base sensations. It is not healthy. Be it the Bible, Grail Mesaage, Koran, other soul lifting literatures, endeavor to study and meditate upon them well and often. It will not only restore the necessary balance in your sex life but in other aspects of life as well. Your minds will not be purely carnal as you will recognize the harm in overindulgence in everything. That’s my take, ma. |

MyOpinion1: Their own you say?
In which hospital is that "their own" isolated... The Italian man that was treated by Nigerian Doctors why didn't Italy send their own Doctors to treat him and so many other foreigners that was treated by Nigerian Doctors... What is so special about CCECC that they have to come over when report doesn't point to any symptoms from them or did you read that they have been tested positive before they came over here Is prevention not better than cure? If there is a surge of infection amongst the Chinese in the country and they are placed on priority list amongst the infested, would you not say the Nigerian government is partial? And they the doctors didn’t just come alone, they came with about $1.5m worth of medical equipment for the use of Nigerian govt. Doctors from China have been welcomed helpers in other more advance countries in more critical similar problems in recent time. Why are we not grateful to be considered worthy of help? Instead we cloud our sense of judgement with deep seated fears and unfounded allegations. |

MyOpinion1: The Doctors from China what is their motive of coming here because it is not as if they are treating people with symptoms or assisting our Doctors with testing...I am curious as to what they are doing in Nigeria presently It has been said repeatedly that they came for their own, the CCECC. They are willing to offer help if called upon; however you people said you do not want them. You questioned and doubted their genuine intent to help. You said your doctors are quite capable and competent enough with sufficient personnel, and therefore no need for them. So, what should they do? |

Is marriage worth it? We might as well ask, Is living worth it, if there are unending troubles here and there?
Something occurred to me recently on this same question of when and whether to marry or not. The major thing here is finding the right compliment. When the right compliment for you is found, all other things are less relevant. Not even money.
Getting the right compliment however is not dependent on how smart you are intellectually or socially. Not how many books you’ve read or experience of people you have seen. It demands humility and a pure heart. A humble person with heart of purity must have been living a life that is free of blemish, otherwise, cloud prevent seeing the good. No need for much words on this. |
