Honeyking:OK. That's nice. It's possible we may have seen each other that same day of the interview. But what's your course of study or which job role would you be given to do? Did you also wonder how the interview went? As regards the pressure to influence the exercise by the power that be, let's be prayer, may the law of love, justice and fair play prevail. Thanks for sharing this information. It's like you, too, are somehow closer to the corridors of power. If you could beg your insider to help you confirm the list of the lucky few, have you attempted that or it's too guarded an information to be known? You could drop your mobile contact, too, if you don't mind. I would like to give you a call. This thread is too dry. Please help keep up the tempo. Thank you very much, sir. |
Honeyking:Permit me to ask this, sir. What post did you apply for and how was your own interview like? Thanks. |
Honeyking: engrMikemd: Honeyking:Thank you sirs. I read in the news some weeks ago that about 12000 persons applied for vacancies of just 50 in the exercise. A call for interview is not a call for employment. The interview conducted was not thorough. Nothing technical. We were asked just to introduce ourselves and say the vision of the school which we all did because we (about 6 of us) entered the room at the same time. They said they wanted to see our faces; just to have interface with us. We were told right there that they needed just one person for that post, that we should pray they get the best. In just 5 to 8 minutes we were done. I guess they were in a hurry because of all other they still had to have interviews session with that day and it was getting late. I heard they were there till about 9 pm in the first interview they did few weeks before our time. I'm still wondering on what basis the selection would be. It is my hope that the exercise was not just done to "fulfill all righteuoness". People came from Lagos, Abuja and far places. I pray for success and positive testimony. May it be well with all of us. If there's any other thing you people know about the whole thing going on behind the scene, please do share with us. Thanks. |
Honeyking: damesilver: Honeyking:sir, could you please share with us what's going on. Any good news? |
engrMikemd:Please, sir, isn't there any update so far? Since the interviews have been concluded is that the final of it all? Or is it that no one on this forum made it there. I'm always checking out this page as if my all hope depends on this opportunity alone to get a job. May it be well. |
I'm finding it challenging to provide a caption for this photo. It a photoshoot of a lad seen apparently working on his school assignment while at the same time engaging in a business activity at his mother's makeshift shop. This condition is not conducive for learning at this tender impressionable age. It is an indictment on the leadership of this country. Sadly, a lot of homes are having wards going through this similar condition daily, while the children of the affluent political class are treated to comforting splendor studying in exquisitely beautiful regions of the world. The policy of 'buy Nigerian products' would be better exemplified in our leaders having their children trained in our schools here in Nigeria.

mirabeldesmond:Alright ma'am, have you found what you're looking for? |
Lady Mirabel, I must say I commend your courage. Intriguing. A lot of people might mistake your coming online to seek for genuine friends as a reveal of being 'easy' or being cheap. They Err. Have you now found a suitor? mirabeldesmond: |
oluwasma:Compulsory restraint is not a measure of inner nobility. It doesn't make him any better or spiritually higher. What counts is the purity of our thoughts at all times right down to everyday business. The desire for intercourse is a natural thing and not implanted by man. It is even a sin to go against nature. If we celebrate celibacy as a 'sine qua non' to higher worth, we are wrong. We cannot flatter God by condemning his handiwork. For some reasons, it may be good to be abstinent for a time. Such a person may be regarded as decent but nothing more. He is not necessarily more valuable in creation than others who engage in sexual activity. What should come first is the genuine love for thy neighbor and the consistent keeping of the hearth of our thoughts pure. This is a requirement of the noble man. Then, the rightful restraint from sexual misconduct, stimulation, morbidity and all other perversion would naturally fall away. I think this is the right approach. |
Hmm. It depends on what you hold dear, what you see as values, priority and important. I think you are likely born in the month of September, or late August. Please read on 'schizoid personality' The best way to live is to follow the natural laws. We should not allow our intellect, which has no life, to direct our lives. Let us listen to our inner voice, the voice of the spirit. We will always have our preferences and desires. What works for a person may harm another person. We should also take heed of Selfish desiring; the love of ease and comfortable life, which may become detrimental to the development of our spirit. We are here on earth to experience and mature. It would be unhelpful to close ourselves to the possibility of these life experiences. Shying away from the world of matrimony is not an automatic ticket to a stress-free life. It is however not compulsory to get married. But I think marriage is a good thing if the pair are destined for each other. Let us take the trouble to find that person for which we are suited in order to spread blessings and bring joy to our fellow men. Note, What I'm saying here is also applicable to me. |
avicky:Madam, I bow for your superior intellect. I guess you're married, I can see a ring there. Good luck to the young man. I wish you best of luck in your exams, too. Let's us know how it goes on test day. Saturday, right? |
avicky:This madam must be really cerebral to know all these. It would be nice to meet with you. By the way, I skipped many of the questions because of time. I didn't even bother to read their comprehension. Their maths are bit technical. Many of my answers were gamble-chosen. I was asked the anagram of the word 'sectional' Options were: actionals, coastline, etc. Also questions from west African countries, Lake taganyinca, Chad, etc The male low tone, baritone, bass, soprano... The author of Gulliver travails.... Hmm... All is well. |
''a Caldera is found at the top of which of these, a Volcano, a train, peacock, a giraffe'' Prepare for questions as the above. I saw that in mine. Good luck everyone. |
engrMikemd:''in which city would you find the largest Japanese community outside of Japan?'' Toronto, Sao Paulo, Miami, Melbourne Is it Something like this, sir? |
Honeyking:We pray for success. I'm Applying for higher executive officer. Date of test is 22. I think the test is to be done in batches. I don't think anyone has idea on what the test would be like. It's well. Please do share if you have any info. Thanks. |
firstking01:I have read some of your posts on this forum which I found commendable but most of your writings here are uncouth. They betray a personality of an irresponsible fellow, which I think you are innately not. You claim to be an extrovert which is not bad. But you must also have known that most extrovert are not reasonable, responsible and reliable. This is my personal experience. I do not say all of them are... That's why we need to temperate our personality. We are to rule over them not otherwise. You can be a responsible extrovert through discipline. But the trait of maturity and responsibility comes naturally to introverts. Although there are also introverts who have lost so many of their natural beautiful traits through carelessness, bad company, indiscipline, etc etc. It goes both ways. There are growing contentions between the two personalities; and it seems the two cannot agree to disagree. Permit me to say The major fault for this 'fight' lies with the extroverts. Introverts are easy going. They won't trouble your life. Rather than fly off the handle when unjustly crossed, they rather take the path of civility by keeping to themselves or giving you a courteous warning. Just go your own way calmly and inoffensively. However, they do not shy away from disturbing hands troubling their calm waters. They can deploy all powers within their disposal to nail you, and without sweating. I think introverts should just go with their introvert friends. Enough of all these drama. Extrovert should look elsewhere when a potential introvert seem interested, if they will show interest at all. Please, birds of a feather should flock together. It's enough. Thank you. |
Well, if you are person who has inclination towards spirituality, you will be comfortable with the introvert personality. A lot of people around me think me boring and not fun to be with. They are even suggestive of the difficultly I might have if I wish to have a girlfriend. I think it would be nicer for introvert personality to pair with introvert mate. They will understand each other better; and would not have to be constantly harassed with the need to change their basic personalities. I take life as an individual thing. People are easily deceived because they are not having independent minds. They only walk on the strength of others. If you cherish virtues such as honesty, faithfulness, strength of character, truth, whole truth and nothing but the truth, then, be prepared and unafraid to walk this life alone. If you want to court the attention of men at all cost, and bend to their united taste and standard for good living, you may have to compromise your values. |
McTobe:Mr. McTobe. You welcome, sir. I think you already knew long time ago that I am an adherent of the Message, and that is why we are followers on this forum,( check your profile page). I'm not yet married, sir. By the way I'm still a very young person, really pretty young, mid twenties. (though that does not matter). Smiles... I think I have the conviction in what I posted otherwise I wouldn't have. That doesn't not mean what I posted comes easier for me to do. No, sir. It is my earnest prayer that I , and so many others who desire, be granted the strength to strive to the highest ideal. We are told that no child learns to walk without frequently tumbling. But he must pick himself up again and try to walk otherwise he is at the risk of staying behind and may never walk. To be in love is good, it is interesting. Life becomes more flamboyant, we are more intensely alive. But we must be careful not to become identified with the aliveness such period brings because of the law of impermanence and the cycle of life. When a shift happens, we will not be roughly shaken by it. It will become easier for us to manage the changes that occur to everything; just like the departure of the spirit from this earth which can happen at any hour. I think it requires a very high level of maturity to do this. May it be well with us all. Thank you very much, sir. |
I think the first step towards getting help to your challenge is by recognizing the vice which you have acknowledged by opening this thread. You are already on the way to recovery. What you need now is a psychological shift. Realise that nobody can free you from this vice except yourself. There is no magic anywhere. Meditate about it. You are probably proud because you have certain admirable qualities in you. It could a handsome social grace, intelligence, connections, psychic gift, etc etc. Think about the fact that nothing really last forever. The law of impermanence will take effect one day. No matter how beautifully looking we may appear, how intellectually sound, or popular, it is not for ever. It must pass, too. Just like every other thing in this physical dimension, it will pass, we will leave them here on earth one day. Think about the passing away of the human soul from this earth which can happen at any hour. Then you will see the futility of earthly honors. It is the illusion of possession that makes us proud. We are nothing but pencils in the hands of the creator. Little by little, by prayer and supplication, the pride will go away. |
The truth is: there will always be the better version of something, including the human being, first of all. We ourselves are not all the same all year round. We progress in some way; the progress could be positive or negative, higher or lower, more loving, less cruel, etc etc It is not enough to find someone who only meets you at 100 percent match, that's for instance. What is important is the maintenance of that level and the continual seeking for improvement for there's no stagnant perfection. The creative law of movement must be obeyed. We all make this mistake and forget so soon that reaching a particular height is life is relatively easier to achieve than maintaining that height. When people get to a significantly high level, they tend to relax. When people get married, partners tend to neglect to continue to work on themselves, on their vanity and weaknesses. It is advisable that people match with those they are on the same level. But, they must not let complacency set in which can bring them down. They should continue to strive upwards, shoulder to shoulder, to the highest level of perfection both in the material and spiritual sense. Let me also add that marriage can only be spiritual. Complementarity of the souls should be taken into consideration. And finally, The united goal must be a spiritual one if the union is to remain sacred and be a blessing to mankind. |
Thank you ma'am for this expository. It is also important to strictly establish physical and emotional boundary when towing the path of purity. Nobody toys with the devil and goes unscathed. Just flee from its appearance. But I think a lot of people are not themselves willing to take this path of purity. Deep down in the subconscious of many, the desire for bodily pleasure is simmering with tension. Therefore, the talk of purity these days would die in the wind. However, Laurel wreath to the courageous ones who are striving to live a life of purity. Wishing you More strength. |
engrMikemd:I learnt that it must be on separate sheet, spanning about two pages. What do you think? Is cover letter mentioned or necessary? Please, kindly help me with a format. I'm applying for a post of a higher executive officer. |
engrMikemd:Please, how do we go about the mission statement? Is it to be written on a separate sheet or what? How many copies? What format? Thanks in advance. |
frank317:You welcome, sir. |
McTobe:My brother, why? I think I read in one of your posts that your were involved with someone and probably would get married soon. How come enjoying single again? |
I learnt a great lesson from a story a secondary school teacher of mine told me few years ago. My teacher is an Islamic scholar. He related the story from one of the Islamic literatures. The story is about a merchant who has a shop very near another merchant's in a market square. Like every other person who sells goods, he prays to make sales to get money for his other needs. A customer approached his shop and he made a sale. He felt happy. The same morning still, Another buyer came to his shop, he made another successful sale and felt good. The third buyer came directly to his shop also willing to buy from him. The owner of the shop directed the third buyer to his neighbor who sells the same goods. The third buyer was curious and insisted to know why he has been directed elsewhere to make his purchase. The man revealed to the buyer that since he opened his shop in the morning, he had made some sales a little profitable for him to at least feed his family for the day. He went on to explain that his neighbor who sells the same good as he his and to whom he directed the buyer to make his purchase, had not had any body to buy from him. He felt his neighbor has a wife and children at home, just like himself, to feed and take good care of. For this reason he implored the buyer to make his purchase from his neighbor. This is a true definition of love; but today what do we have? |
frank317:When it is said: 'love thy neighbor as thy self', it means, do that which will benefit them. Punish them if it is necessary but justice must prevail. The problem, I think, is the hitherto narrow definition of love. Love is not weakness, nor is it all forgiving. Love is not sentiment. Love is not indulgent of questionable habits. Love is firm, stern and severe. In fact, the greatest part of Love is severity. True love will consider only what will benefit the soul of his neighbor, not necessarily what is agreeable to him or brings him joy. Genuine love as willed by the Almighty God will take no account of what gratifies the other person but only what improves his spiritual development. This is the reason why a lot of people have a distorted view of God. They see the love of God as being tolerant of every misbehavior, too gentle to lift a finger to discipline his poor creature he loves so much, all-merciful and all-forgiving. This is not correct. God 's love and His justice are one. They must not be separated. Man stands amidst the consequences of his actions, many of which he has long forgotten, dating to several thousand years of many earthly incarnations; because it is the law of God that what a man sows he must reap. It doesn't matter whether it takes place here on earth or hereafter, or even in another earth-life. It is height of ignorance to think man can make a bargain with God. Sins are not just forgiven by mere mutterings of prayers because He said He's Love. You must live through the fruits of your every thoughts and actions no matter how trivia. The reason why we are admonished to love our neighbor as ourselves is because it is the surest way to obtaining direct connection to the spiritual realm, the steps to the throne of God, and forgiveness of sins. Love brings about the quick way to the redemption of karma (if you believe in this). Unconditional love, love with no thought of reward, is a possibility. It appears impossible because the world today is permeated with thick pall of darkness. This terrestrial hemisphere, earth, has sunk so low according to the cosmic law, due to the evil choices of men living in it. This pitiable condition will not by hair-breath obliterate the truth of the word that gives life. There's no substitute for truth. Truth is eternal unchangeable. If you have not been seeking seriously enough to find out this pure truth of life, or you deliberately close yourself to it on account of its simplicity, because you trust so much in your intellectual sagacity, it is your fault. No help can come since your already close yourself to the channels through which help can reach you. When you Love your neighbor as yourself, you will not do anything to him that would harm him or later oppress him, either in deeds, words or thoughts. You give him his due respect. You do not cross him with malicious intent. You harbor only the thoughts of purity, light and joy for him; and that is true service. Do not think that when you obey this law you will be liked by everyone. No. Many will not understand your actions toward them now as an expression of true love because they themselves lack the capacity, so they resent you. They label you an hypocrite. They believe there can be no selfless action without the expectation of some reward. They distort every act of kindness as having underlying motive of base end. It goes on like that. It is true the many of us are not capable of this high love again. We only need to exert ourselves spiritually to call it back to life. He who has love is granted salvation from all depths no matter how deep he may have fallen. |
Keep up the good work of Love. May the blessing be. |
This is what happens to novel enthusiasts. Especially the beginners. They let loose their imagination to run riot just to scribble down something. It is good to aspire to be a prolific writer but I want to enjoin them to be careful with what they create with their mental powers. |
We all carry this disease within us. This disease is what is called the fruit of vanity. The desire to be admired, to be appreciated, to become celebrated, famous, popular etc are all forms of the ego. The ego wants to be special; and it feeds on the attention it's gets from people. When the attention is no longer coming, the ego is wounded and self-destruct it's bearer. This ego comes in different ways. Let us explore some of them. 1. When you try impress people around. You spend time dressing to look good, to make up, to speak in foreign accent. Etc 2. When You want to be seen as superior in a gathering. The desire to outshine. 3. When You struggle to win an argument. 4. When you ask questions to show you know. 5. When You pray for money so that you can help others. Why not pray that the less privileged get direct help from above? Why through you? 6. When You feel depressed that you have carry over, or didn't get your target score. 7.When You get angry over small matter. 8. When You deny yourself good things of life. You starve your physical body of good care by lengthy fasting, and are willing to let people know that you are fasting. 9. When You pray out loud where people will notice you. 10. When You think you are a nice person, or harbor the desire to be talked of as being good, kind, gentle, generous, quiet, etc. If your goal is to serve the pure Truth of God, you must root out the need to be liked by people. In fact people won't like you when you do the right thing most often. 11. When You go on ascetic lifestyle, by taking the oath of celibacy thinking that your not having sex makes you superior to others who in childlike simplicity choose to obey the natural laws by having sex. You similarly think you are recognized by the Almighty God as pure, but in reality you are not. 12. When you feel inferior as if no one cares for you. You feel like an outcast, like someone who is in need of help but could not get. You play the victim. You believe the world should pity you. 13. When you strive for earthly excellence at all cost. You desire to be known as a scholar. As the best staff, the best programmer, the best student The most handsome The paragon of beauty The brilliant surgeon The best player The best writer The pastor with the largest congregation Etc... What is common in all these is that you solely want to gain attention. It is not the desire to be genuinely helpful for the sake of mankind, but your own interest, therefore, of a low order. For those who wants to advance in the spirit, beware of the voice of the ego. Strive to exterminate it completely. That part of you that seeks to flaunt it's abilities is the ego. It belongs to the darkness. Therefore, do good simply because it is good. Expect No thought of reward. Do not fight for recognition but go your way calmly. Peace. |
importexpert:I want to ask if part of the tips or secrets you reveal in your book include subtle deception; like for instance trying to promote a product you have not tested but claim to knowledge of its working operations, disguising to be living in Europe while you're still in Nigeria because of so so so and so. Etc. |
