I had this same issue with my EOD before I sold it. Engine works well, but when you first start the car you get those black flaky like carbon on the floor. And mine vibrate when I am stuck in traffic for a long time on a very sunny day with the AC one, i still used it for about 6 months but I knew the engine would require changing soon. Last I checked the 4 cylinder engine goes for about 110k - 120k naira.

There are some sites, just follow instructions to register and bid yourself. But in will advice you get someone more experienced with the bidding to assist you. Esp in selecting a car you wont spend so much fixing.

there is no alarm light on the dash board, both th tokunbo and new side mirror all matched. just confused about the whole thing. But i have seen from google that my firmware is not up to date. Any idea where this can be done, may be that could fix it?

i have tried what is in the video, see i get to the screen to start the Aming for the lanewatch (picture attched) but when i hit the start buton at the tip of the lever nothing happens, it just there. that is my main concern. i also attached the firmware screen of my infotainment system

the right Mirror was broken when got it, i had to replace the right side mirror with a tokunbo one, same issue then i swapped it with a brand new one still the same. when i try to properly Aim the camera the it displays on the screen, but then press the switch on top of the lever to activate the lanewatch it wont do any thing and also when i turn the lever to the turn to the right no display on the screen.

Yes it is an American spec, what do you mean by the VIN been checked? i did do a check on the VIN through www.autocheck.com . is that what you mean by VIN check? i am suspecting a firmware upgrade or re-installation. But i aint an expert, thats why i need your advice

i bought this 2010 Benz GL450 4matic in February this year from another user. The former owner used to drive it to work everyday (less than 5km) and do other errands (picking up of his kids from school and travelling).

however, when ownership was transferred to me, i decided to make it an occasional vehicle i.e. parties and church which is only on weekends just to reduce the cost of fueling and maintenance.

But i met someone (a benz user) who advised against such practice that Benz are like planes designed to be driven everyday and not parked for long. Is this assertion true?

Also, is my current practice of not driving it everyday bad for the car? What are the risks involved?

yes pls, camera is mounted. The connection from the camera to the infotaninment system is good from several test. but the lanewatch would not come up when activated. i dont know if its a firmware issue

Hello @Gazzuzz, i need your assitance with my lanewatch camera in a 2013 honda accord. the i cant see the camera when i navigate to the camera functions ( i only see the rear camera), the lanewatch also does not come on when i move the turn signal lever to the passenger side or when i Press the LaneWatch button. i navigated to the try aiming the camera, its displays but the aiming is alwasy unsuccessful. i really wont mind bringing it in or kindly advice on where a good rewire (i guess) can look at it. Thanks

I used to use an EOD, the ball joint never came of for 5 years of using the car, i maintained it regularly, parts are readily available and not expensive, and it looks way sleeker than the avensis.

Nissan sentra, I loved the interior and the headlights plus the shinning alloyed rims, na so I buy problems give myself. The car was driving fine after 9months I decided to wash the engine and boom that was the end of that car. After spending thousands of naira on it with no positive results, I decided it was time to cut my losses. I no drive Nissan again Biko

Water always mess something up in the engine when you wash it, now I simply tell my mechanic to use petrol or kerosene and a paint brush to help me wash it and he does a good job. Water and all those electronic gadget in the engine dont mix, that's apart from the rust that will occur over some years if you keep using water to wash your engine.

Just telling a child these days to face the wall or go to the naughty corner hurts them really bad. My parents flogged me a lot and that didn't do much. Now I tell punish my child or deprive her of some activity she loves and that super really hurts her and I then have a discussion with her to understand why she was punished and we are good. Flogging has not helped anybody since a long time.
