Calm down.
Usually between 2-4 business days after you see a “refusal”. Otherwise, wait till you pick their passports. It’ll pop up by then or a day after

Keep checking until dates automatically pop up for you to select from. The dates will be blank initially…keep checking

For anyone that’ll be attending a follow up appointment at the consulate, please go with these general documents:
1. The white paper stating the reason for the interview (221g letter)
2. A copy of your DS160 confirmation page
3. A copy of your GTB receipt for visa fee payment
4. Your passport, of course
5.Other documents that can prove your case e.g. hospital bills receipts, past correspondence with the consulate/hospitals in the US etc (this is for those both child birth issues) etc
6. If you are taking a minor (teenager) for biometric, please go with your own ID (driver’s license is sufficient)

Please those that just got dates for their Dropbox should note that the documents are to be submitted at the Consulate (Walter Carrington Crescent) and not the DHL office. DHL office is for passport pick up/collection only.

Documents to take along are: DS160 confirmation page, interview appointment letter, passport, GTBANK visa fee receipt and 1 or 2 passport photos…

Don’t give a categorical statement. It’s a temporary refusal…they will most likely ask them to come for a physical interview.
Nothing is final yet till you get their passports back with the 221g slips

Within 3 business days, dates will pop up for them on the interview appointment portal…usually not more than a week away

Calm down…you’ll get your passport by Monday latest and the 221g paper will tell you the actual reason for the temporary setback. Most likely, you’ll be asked to schedule a physical interview to clear up grey areas.

Thank God for favour, i dropped our passport for IW on the Friday 25th. Status changed to issued today and i had some of my kids in the US am really happy.

You’ll surely get another appointment. Take your time to get necessary documents needed to explain your case.

Hello , been reading the thread. Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, I got the 212g , I gave birth in the USA. I checked the appointment date and I got 4th march , I got distracted and I checked again and came up with no date . I still need some additional documentation . Do you think the time in between will count against me or I can get an appointment when I'm ready.

What’s the age of the kid involved? If he just turned 14 after the last visa, then they most likely need his fingerprints. Calm down

When I took my son for biometric at the consulate last week, a man was on the queue for same thing. When it got to his turn, the officer said he is “not qualified” because his family (wife and kids) had applied for asylum in the US (Houston, Texas)…

I think there’s a rule that you can’t amend the DS160 form 48-72 hours before an interview. I wonder why you delayed the submission. Please pray it doesn’t become an issue…

Look at the confirmation page, it has a date that the form was submitted

How can I cross check if my DS 160 form is the old one, I can't remember which month last year that I started filling the form but I submitted it last week (was just filling and saving it) to be sure its not more than 6mon5hs and I have IW appointment tomorrow morning by 8am. Sorry, by the way, for the extra expense and stress. You’re still better off than scheduling a physical interview that could’ve been cancelled or rescheduled. People with March and April dates were moved to October-November 2022.

@Nebbo was spot on. Only Under-14s would’ve been issued visas without fingerprints so it’s definitely related to your previous childbirth in the US. Although no one has shared a testimony here of success at the interview stage (after initial IW refusal due to childbirth)…it seems most people that were affected here will be doing their interviews from this week.

Arm yourself with applicable and relevant documents. God will grant you utterance and favour.

Good morning everyone

Experts in the house, after hustling for interview waiver and gotten one, i realised my passport number in the application form was my old passport number as i have a new passport. I had applied for visa since last year then cancelled my appointment when the option of interview waiver came up. Carried away with getting a date that i forgot to edit my profile.

My question is this: Do i have the opportunity to adjust this when i fill a new DS 160 form with my new passport number and all. Even my receipt for visa fee still has the old passport number- "sigh".

I saw a woman this morning at the DHL coming to drop her documents when the invitation letter she’s holding boldly has Walter Carrington Crescent as the location.

Make I keep quiet…(of course, I directed her…even though she didn’t ask for my help. I just saw the invitation letter with her….)
