Welcome back from the silly unexplainable forum-banning bot, i've been a victim MANY times, Yeah, ur right we always had 3rd party solutions for our fluid solutions like glu3d and realflow (which is really cool by the way), But that of course that means u gotta learn some other interface as well as the regular import/export challenges which always show up when moving across various software. Ultimately the big plus is blender is free, light and fast, As for tutorials, of course the bigger end apps are going to always have a lot more SIMPLY because lots more people use em, But one could also attribuite that to the massive marketing and advertsing campaigns the makers of these programs do, A privelage blender does not have, All in all, it's still up to the user's dedication and skill, |
More amazing is the fact that it's totally FREE and while i have known that for a long time, i just discovered today that it's a mere 20MB download, to put this in perspective, 3Ds Max or Maya are an incredible 300 times the size of this program (about 6GB each), Yet it has features like fluid simulation that even people like us having been waiting for in 3DMax all these years , How they keep it so small is still amazing me, WOW, Those who wanna try it out, here's a link, http://www.blender.org/ |
Personally am more of a 3ds Max person but for an open source program this level of output is totally awesome, [flash=480,320] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRsGyueVLvQ[/flash] |
Unfortunately, i used to be in PH but i recently moved, i can however direct you to a colleague who will be able to do so, It will however be a one-on-one type thing, email if interested , damseremie@yahoo.com |
st-kris:He's right, You CAN edit on PC as much as the Mac, Leave all these apple fan-boys abeg, However, Whoever was telling u that was probably referring to the difficulty in realtime playback in your editor of the highly compressed (h264) video format which dslr's shoot in, Right now however the latest versions of these editors (Premiere CS5 or Sony Vegas 10) can comfortably handle this format . They will still require a pretty powerful PC though However if ur using an older version, u would probably be better off converting to Cineform AVI before editing, it makes HD editing seamless even on lower end systems with zero quality loss, |
thanks okx, point noted, u just made me realise how long it's been since i created a new reel or uploaded recent material, (should really do that soon), But in the interim, here's something from back in '09 , i think, [flash=420,360] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxBfMcwMnII[/flash] you might also want to check my channel www.youtube.com/damseremie, though like i said, not too much recent material |
First of all, i like to respect the great creative minds constantly on their grind and producing amazing results despite the numerous challenges in this region of the world, i doff my hats to the nairaland graphics forum elders like AdamuW, zpixel, xothermilk, grapikdon sojioguns, OKX, smartsoft and more, as well as the slightly newer but equally outstanding new cats like dasa, ugo_2u, kemjisuper, bilie, (if i didnt say your name no vex, but much respect) I certainly am still learning and developing everyday but i have been blessed (and lucky) enough to have gathered a relatively stable level of knowledge and experience in these areas, (mentioned above) Once upon a time, Sojioguns opened a thread abt lethargy and the death of the creative industry, after much debate, we generally concluded that we all need to help in our own little way by training new people, So after a looong time after here i am, While i would love to take on a whole bunch of people, Real life, work and resources dictate otherwise, So here's what am offering, 1) A training position for One(1) person at a time only who will learn Editing and VFX using Premiere and After Effecst ( we wont be doing 3D animation cause i honestly don't think i'll have the time) . 2) We'll have to work around both my schedule and yours, but am thinking meeting twice a week over a period of a month or so 3) While i had intended to make the training free, i realized from several upsetting experiences, that people don't value what they don't pay for. And so i'll be taking some money from whoever decides to do this, Definitely far less than you'll need to pay if i was officially "training you". Am thinking in the 40-50k range, just enough to hurt a little so your always on time and ready to learn, of course i could make concessions cause wats most important to me is the passion, dedication and a fairly reasonable degree of loyalty. 4) For now, am in Abuja, so i guess that where you'll have to be, at least for the period of your training, 5) Naturally if during the period of your training, i have shoots, commissioned or personal projects, you'll be invited to gain more personal experience? Why am i doing this?? Cause personally am tired of abandoning interesting projects because there's not enough skilled manpower, (at least let's know funding is our only problem abi??) Interested? email damseremie@yahoo.com again, RESPECT, |
had already traced that thread , the site no longer exists, am trying to see if anyone downloaded them then and still has them, |
Hi, am kinda doing some research on old nigerian comics and i'm looking for copies of Ikebe Super and Lolly Magazine particularly one's starring Nackson aka Dauda the sexy guy, Digital copies but Hardcopy's are good too if available, Thanks, |
Hate to have to ask this here since am a real big fan of the creator but does anyone have Action Essentials 2? i do have the kind off debris and dust footage i need but it's is in SD and my upcoming project off course is HD and scaling that footage up is just not gonna cut it?? Help Anyone, (i could download but it's WAY too big), |
As the original poster of this thread, i have to say i am overwhelmed by the "AMAZING" entries received so far, lol, Right Now in my opinion, Afrocandy and the V.I.C O guy are the leading contenders, (Personally, i feel VIC O is way ahead on the horrible song ratings), but what do u guys think? YOP, YOP, YOP, |
AdamuW and xothermilk:: Goodday people, Sorry about the werid way i choose to get your notice, could you send me an email addy icould contact u guys with?, Gotta discuss a couple of thingsi once asked for it and u gave but i cant seem to locate that post, Thanks |

[flash=640,390] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoesBjuTxYo[/flash] Another election period is around the corner in Nigeria and we need Nigerians everywhere to take a hold of the opportunity before them, to change this country for the better. We cannot sit down and allow our democratic rights to go to waste; we have the ability to decide whether to say "No" to corruption or "Yes" to progress. This is the "Voters' Voice", Nigeria can be great again, all we need to do is "use it". VOTE in these upcoming elections our future depends on it. ****this video features the Ijaw Boyz Allstarz and was directed and editted by FKP for 5iveKingz Multimedia**** |

(butting into thread after 2 weeks off the internet) First of all, welcome back Soji, It's been a while since a post came in from you, and i think starting this thread is a pretty good way to get back, lol Dying (I'll d say no to that), Needs a Boost, (Definitely, )Reasons? Well, i do appreciate all the reasons soji gave but one still has to look at the industry and compare it with the industry 5 to 6 years ago, have we gotten were we should be, NO? but have we improved?, are more jobs getting to Nigerian companies as opposed to the S.A ones? are individuals and agencies at lest TRYING to be more professional? are we at LEAST talking about collaboration and synergy? a resounding YES, i like to look at the glass as half full, Things are still seriously lacking but definitely getting better, NOT worse, (my opinion, ) as for the protege thing, all the issues have already being raised, timing for both the "master" and" protege", need for equivalent drive/passion, greed upon having getting trained, all valid issues, most of which i have experienced personally, but the truth is, no one is gonna be with you forever, sooner or later, they are gonna want to make their own name, when they are ready for this is a decision they will take themselves , u can only keep going , train as much as you can knowing you are adding to the industry's growth in Ur own little way (what Ur trainee's do afterwards??, that u cant control) that being said, what happens now, i remember there was a similar thread last year with "synergy" in the title somewhere, we all came and said our bits, but has anything changed?? |
there's not much to say, since xothermilk has already commented on all the major issues (besides chracter animation has never really been my strong suit lol) Nice one man, as always improvements can be made, |
Nice, I see both legswings have made the foot-tapping be more in sync with the finger- tapping, i think that solves the earlier issue, I rather prefer "legswing1" cause of that little extra "drag" of his leg, it helps with the whole laid-back attitude feeling, |
According to Michael's Official Website, The First single BREAKING NEWS of his new album is to be released 2moro The full album drops titled "MICHAEL" is to be released on December 14th Anyone as excited as i am? www.michaeljackson.com |
(I'll d say no to that), Needs a Boost, (Definitely, )
