Greatihex:Tall dreams, especially when your first choice striker, "Miss First Touch" is in the "sunken place". ![]() but it's alright to dream! it's a free world. ![]() |
^^^^^^ all these for one person? |
olabode89:Lol...... ![]() you even get time to dey respond to that robot of a troll. you know, when you argue or respond to a mad man, people will question your sanity. |
Jose Mourinho starting Zlatan as a number 10,a half-fit Zlatan, still recovering from a long-term injury lay-off in a match we were supposed to win, to keep space between us and the chasing pack, was to me, a "Mourinho's masterclass" hands down. and what did that "masterclass decision" gave us? we went two goals down, against small Burnley, at Old Trafford of all places, with Zlatan doing zilch in the attack, even if the goals conceded were from set pieces. Zlatan contributed little to the game yesterday and when Mourinho saw his error and the damage done, he hook off Zlatan, for Lingard who salvaged a point for us. now for two seasons consecutively, Burnley have a point from Old Trafford. SMH. anyways, that's past. next match..... by the way, it's said that Mourinho always win the league in his 2nd season at a club and also that a Mourinho's team always finish the league in the position they found themselves in after the 12th league match. well, it will be interesting which of these statements is fulfilled this time. ![]() |
JideSM:Hi! you have not replied me.... |
Well, we're out of the League Cup. might be a good thing. at least now Mourinho can focus on winning at least one of the 3 trophies left for grab, after all, he's said to win trophies everywhere...... ![]() SMH! can't be arsed! |

I honestly don't get the hate against Pep Gaurdiola. Yes, I admit I initially didn't like him not because of who he is or his footballing philosophy or strive for perfection in football, but because of the hype placed on him by La Liga fans, especially these Barka fans whilst yet, he hasn't gone to other league outside La Liga, but now I've seen the light. you may not like Pep, but you have got to admit he's good. no shame in that. stop moaning about the money he's spent. it doesn't take anything away from him. in these football days, you need to spend and wisely so, to be able to win, unless you want to be like Arsene Wenger and other miserly coaches who can't win anything. even a top coach like Mourinho spends money, so why single out Pep for criticism merely because you hate him? doesn't make sense. Pep started in La Liga and dominated the league, went to Bayern Munich and dominated the league and he's now I'm EPL dominating the league. yes, he struggled last season, so? he's rectified a lot from last season, get the players he wants and instill his philosophy in them and they are leading the league with a massive point difference. you have got to give him props rather than insulting him and giving all kinds of excuses like how much spent, why he didn't win anything in his first season, blah, blah, blah........ Hian! You all should embrace Pep and applaud what he's doing because if Pep succeeds with Man City in the EPL and the Champions League, it's all the best for the Premier league. if City succeeds in winning the UCL under Pep, England will finally have the UCL trophy that has evaded them for more than 5yrs now. at the end, the Premier League benefits immensely and we'll finally have a strong team to stand up to these Spanish and German cunts in the UCL.... stop the hate against Pep. |
Oasis007:pray tell, what's so special about that last season title win? it's beginning to look like a fluke. Conte won the league in his first season with Chelsea and so what? he didn't had any European football commitment to worry about. for the greater part of the first half of last season, Chelsea had few games to play, had enough rest than the other top 6 teams.... Note: emphasis on last season's top 6 teams, not the basement/also-ran teams.. Chelsea had light fixtures to contend with, hence they had enough days of rest. to me, nothing special about their title win, but no one can take the trophy from them, so life goes on. what I'm trying to say is, it's pointless hyping their last season title win like it's something special. Pep did better in his first season as the head coach of Barcelona, he won the league and the Champions League, ending up with 6 trophies..... he did same in his first season at Bayern Munich, having to juggle league commitment with European football commitment. |
JideSM:Hi. good morning. I just sent you a mail. I'm having issues with my phone number. I keep getting unsolicited SMS, actually two SMS that were first sent to me few weeks ago, but till today, I keep getting them as if they are new SMS everytime I switched on my phone. it's beginning to look like an annoying spamming. do something about it. I've emailed you my phone number. |
Chic2pimp! chic to pïmp...... what in a name. wondering who is the real Casanova between chic2pimp and Afrodoc2, considering the number of Nairaland females Afrodoc2 is following.... ![]() |
Too early for this Pep vs EPL debate just because of a 15matches winning run. wait till season ends, then we'll all properly gauge his performance. |

trustyshoess:You couldn't sense that Picohantas was being sarcastic? SMH. where did you left your sense of sarcasm? |
trustyshoess:there's nothing to understand about feminism. just a clogged-up and confused ideology. especially the Nigerian version of feminism. |
Lawlahdey:"their"? or you mean to say "our"? abi, are you not a woman? |
Pretty bold move from JM to give Mctominay a start in such a match.... thumbs up. no Jones and Valencia on the bench. I guess he's resting them for the match at Stamford Bridge. and Herrera and Micki are on the bench. probably don't want to over-work them in this match, especially Herrera, as he might be needed to do a job on Hazard. ![]() |
KingTom:Walahi, you dey mad! ![]()

@Funlord...... voted. |
^^^^^^ this is not something to joke about or banter with over who is the best player in the world. we're talking about terrorism here. we all should be united in condemning such grotesque acts on display by ISIS...... irrespective of which footballer we love and support more. |
afrodoc2:we all know that's an impossibility. ![]() Jose Mourinho is just too scared to try that. he needs one of Martial and Rashford as impact sub, should things not go as planned. |
ChristineC:@bolded, that's when I'll believe that the spirit of Louis van Gaal has possessed Jose Mourinho. ![]() |
Skimpledawg:Na lie. you no tire pass me. me I just tire for that guy, gan. some people take this forum too serious. Hian! |

airmark:who wan send you out of this place? ![]() The Airmax just reminded me of that your bet with Ibime regarding Hazard and how it just too easy for you to win the bet. Ibime don't want a repetition of that same incident, that's why he hurriedly revisit and clarified the terms of this his bet with Nihilist. ![]() |
Ibime:No wahala. I understand... |
Nihilist:You did well. I know say you na honourable man. ![]() |
afrodoc2:Doc, I see what you did there...... Lol. Airmax/Airmark...... ![]() Ibime really learned from that first bet with Airmark, regarding Hazard and him no wan make am too easy this time around. |
stat padding can make some average players look like world-class players. that's why I don't really get the point in judging a player solely based on stats. |
