If you already have a masters, you don't need the BCS program. bigwizzy001: I don't think BCS will increase my point when I already have Masters degree. I think all these exams are for someone with either Bsc or ND to upgrade to 2 or more certificates. Msc is already bigger than 2 or more certificates. No point registering for BCS or other diplomas. Am I making sense?
My e-family, please help me look into this. I want to be sure I'm saying the right thing or with my Masters, can I still enrol for BCS? |

U already have a masters which will fetch you more points than the ACCA. You will not get any additional point for the ACCA. Start by evaluating your M.sc certificate and prepare for IELTS. Good luck. Note: your ACCA will come in handy when you want to convert to CPA later on, that is if you want to practice Accounting in canada. oluwareni: One quick question please.
I have 2 more paper left for my ACCA qualification. Can I get any point on the back of this?
*fingers crossed* |

Whether the victim inputted the correct ECA number, that I don't know. He is March AOR and stated he was rejected in April because he did not upload his ECA certificate in PDF. I did not mean to give anybody unnecessary anxiety, I only advised her based on someone else's experience. Given, its not stated on CIC website that we should upload either ECA or IELTS but I believe everyone should do what can make them sleep well at night. With the rate of rejection going on now, one should not give any VO a reason to reject their application. NB: People have gotten PPR in the past without uploading ECA or Ielts certificate so the choice is entirely on the applicant to decide what to do. johnnybravo1990: I beg to disagree. I don’t think that could be the reason for the person’s rejection. Clarify if the person imputed their ECA number correctly. There is a column somewhere in the application where we are to put down our ECA report number. Or are you saying the ECA number we wrote does not count? Please don’t give people unnecessary anxiety. I uploaded only degree certificate, and I am not going to panic, because the instruction for uploading document for education clearly said ‘degrees/diplomas’, and not ’degrees/diplomas + ECA certificate’. The ECA number we put should take care of the ECA. However you can also upload ECA certificate if you wish. |

Please Raise CSE asap and include them. Someone's application was rejected recently as incomplete for not including ECA certificate. Chynwey: Good day to every selfless member on this thread. I am post-AOR, currently. I came across this thread not too long ago and it has indeed been informative. God bless you all once again. In the placeholder for education, I only uploaded my certificates without including my WES report form and IELTS TRF. But from the stories I have seen so far, every PPR clincher seemed to have included the reports. Is there likely to be a problem with my approach? Do I need to raise a CSE and attach the omitted forms? Kindly advise a confused me. |

Okay. Thanks for the advice amaya21: This is a bit dicey. For PNP, there is an expectation of spending at least some time in the province that does the nomination first before you move to another province. There's no hard and fast law, but there is definitely an expectation.
If it is the regular Express Entry, I see no problem in going ahead with EE while on a study permit if you meet the necessary requirements. However, the person is going the PNP route while they are in school in a presumably different province. How will you convince the visa officer of intent to reside in the nominating province? Unless perhaps, the program of study is expected to be complete towards the end of the PNP processing time...
Maybe others should weigh in |

Good morning. Please I would like to ask, if someone got a study permit and the pnp application he applied for before the study permit is successful, can the person still go ahead with the EE process and apply for permanent residency while studying? Also note that the province the person got the admission is different from the province the person received PNP certificate. |

The decision to migrate was made in early 2017.
Evaluated my master degree with IQAS and hubby's ND/HND with WES.
We wrote IELTS 9 times (mine 8 and hubby 1)
I passed IELTS at the 5th attempt with LRSW - 9777
Unfortunately, this placed us at 439 and went for two more with 0.5 deficiencies in writing.
I then took the last test on 1st December 2018 and had LRSW - 8.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5. This breakthrough in writing came when Dr Benson offered to teach and review my write-ups. Our CRS score then moved to 445
I never got tired of writing the exam as it was the only mountain before me that needs to be leveled for us to have ITA.
My utmost thanks goes to the God Almighty !!!
I also thank my friends Oby, @Zinggi and @Wasseynet for always being there to listen to my silly talks and unnecessary worry at odd hours of the day (you all will rest now).
Thank you so much Doc Benson for bringing the breakthrough in my writing.
To as many as are looking unto God for PPR, the Lord will grant it. |

Also include the Biometrics fee o. Before I got ITA, I always thought the fee is just for application and RPRF which is 1040 CAD as that Is what I always see on nairaland and I budgeted for that only for me to get ITA and meet an additional fee of 85 CAD for Biometrics, totalling the fee to 1125CAD. Topsmamen: 1. Yes. You can send a PM to @Avidreader748 and discuss with him on WAEC processing. 2. See this link. 3. You pay the Application Fee before you submit your application. The Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) can be paid before you submit your application or you can choose to pay after. It's up to you to decide. |

1. Yes. 2. No. I took one paper at a time. 3. You get additional points with two or more certificates than B.sc. with the additional certificate, my Crs score increased by 33 points. 4. Your course of study doesn't matter. If only you will be able to study and comprehend the syllabus, you can sit for the exams. Mo234: Hi,
Please, could you assist with these few questions?
Did it take you 7weeks to cover the syllabus i.e. You mean the BA1 to BA4 to write the exam?
Did you also write all the 4 papers in one sitting?
How many points will CIMA Cert in BA give towards the CRS?
I am an Engineering graduate, so can I do the CIMA also?
Will appreciate any information you can provide.
Thank you,
cc @Danianne |

Yes I did. Duration depends on you and your ability to pass the 4 papers on time. The exam is scheduled on demand. These steps could guide you; The exam is a 4 paper exam, Materials available on astranti.com. Exams are CBT; visit cimaglobal.com to register. Registration is 77GBP while each paper is 55GBP Recommended procedure: 1. Register with cima on https://www.cimaglobal.com/Starting-CIMA/Starting-CIMA/Registration/ fee is 77£. Please pay online, if you pay to the Nigerian office, your registration will take weeks. 2. Send your credentials to CIMA. you'll get the email to send it after registration 3. Study for your exams with Astranti.com and Opentuition.com 4. Exam registration is 55£ per paper.. Exam is electronic, you choose a convenient time, date and center ( any pearsonVUE center).,The various centres and their addresses will appear during registration, so you can choose a center near you. DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY TO THE TEST CENTER.. You're to book for your exam atleast two days to the exam day. 5. You will get a provisional result after each exam, then details will be uploaded to your account after like 2 days.. pass mark is 100/150. There are 60 questions for 2hrs for BA1-3.. then 85 questions for BA4, 2 hrs 6. You're to write BA1 to BA4 in order to get the certificate in Business accounting which you'll evaluate with wes. 7. On how long it will take, depends on you.. you can check the syllabus and study materials to know how long it can take you to cover it.. However, it took me about 6 - 7 weeks 8. When you're done with your 4 exams, you'll wait for like two days for it to be updated...Then you can register with WES 9. Once you have gotten your WES reference No, send an email to cima to prepare your transcripts and letter of good standing.. Also tell them you want to arrange for a courier service.. This is to expedite the process because cima uses regular post which takes weeks to get to Canada.. Follow up with a call to CIMA.. I requested for mine and it was ready for pick up the following day.. Remember to put your WES reference no while booking the courier.. I paid about 65£ for the courier and it got to WES in 3days... For more info.. visit https://www.cimaglobal.comCopied olamse: pls did u write cima exams? Can u give me more hints as to the duration. Looking for ways to boost my crs |

My evaluation with WES finally came out today, see screenshot below.
I also want to use this opportunity to thank @kemzyebony for drawing my attention to a post here about the BCS exam sometime last year. Trust me I was ready to go to NOUN or study for ACCA even though I don't have any background in accounting, lol.

You need to submit both certificates. MzPearl1914: Hello House,
I need an advise here. Having completed the IELTS exam with a score good enough for FSW application. I understand that I need to do ECA with WES. Here is my question. I have OND from YABATECH, and HND from Federal Polytechnic Ede. Would I need to submit the two certifications to WES, or the highest certification, which is HND. Thanks. |

Will both be considered as 2 or more certificates by WES?

The registration and exam cost is 297 pounds. You don't need to pay for their materials and study cost. Visit astranti.com or open tuition.com to get access to free study materials. I don't think ICES evaluates professional certificates. WES evaluates it as one year college level certificate. Nollywoodlove: Hello. Thanks for bringing this up. I went through their website and it seems like a perfect program. I have a few questions, and I hope someone has answers.
I checked the total costs I would need to spend and I arrived at approximately GBP 300. However, adding study costs, brings an additional GBP 900 to the cost. So I want to know if it is compulsory to get their study materials and register at their tutor centres. Or can I just register for the exams and get good study materials for free online?
Finally and most importantly, can you (and others here) please confirm if WES and ICES actually assess a bachelors degree and CIMA's "Certificate in Business Accounting" as 2 or more certificates? There's another professional diploma from CIMA that gets assessed as 3 years bachelors degree, but I haven't seen any info online on how ECA guys assess this their certificate program.
I hope to get better info from all the ogas here. Please. |
