You'll find so many schools in Italy open for admission now. Because It's January and this is the time admission starts for September intake (2015/16).

Well, you can always keep trying. You've just tried for two days. Keep trying. Ask your choice of college to contact the embassy on your behalf. You can always ask the International Office to do that for you.
jennybacky:
I have try reaching them via email and phone line but no responds.
TravelRe: Italian Student Visa-help! by DanIndia(m): 1:30am On Jan 29, 2015
I'm beginning to think the process for it in Nigeria takes a whole lot of time and you don't need the DOV here at the Embassy. Your school needs it in Italy. You can actually make your trip to Italy, enrol at your school and they will understand your DOV will be ready later on. You can always submit it at the time of your second year enrolment. Keep in mind that it has to be ready before your second academic year which I believe will be ready by then.
jennybacky:
how long does the process of legalisatn and DOV normally takes in italian ambassy plssssssss......as i am stilll expecting mine without respond for five months now.

Yes, you'll have to attest those at the Ministries concerned and submit them at the embassy. I'm assuming you're CCNA certified, yeah ?

Holusormi,

I am not sure if it was compulsory or not but at the time of my application at the embassy, I had to submit it but I heard about others who went before me that didn't have to submit an NOC... so that depends whether or not the Visa Officer wants it or not. And No, you can not travel normal and come to Aptech here. Your visit visa can't be used for Educational Purposes.. and Visit visas can't be extended or change to a different visa category. A student visa, however, can be extend and you can even change schools if you want. Keep in mind, you can only change to a UNI..( this was my case ) Had it been I used a Visit "X" visa, I'd had had to return back to Nigeria and apply for a new visa which would cost me a lot. I am not sure if you can do the ACCP Pro and ACCP concurrently but I strongly believe it's possible. You determine the number of hours you spend at the Institute but I'd advise you to use the opportunity to attend other relevant classes such as Cisco, and whatnot.. there are many at the IT HUB. I am not sure on which programmes to advise you to do - this depends on what area your passion is. If it's IT or Business or whatever, I'm sure you can always find an Institute. The Bottomline is, do not let Aptech be the one and only reason you're in India. The certificate is worth it but you can always acquire more skills, which will turn out to be more profitable than your Aptech certificate. Please do let me know if you have any other questions.
holusormi:
Hello DanIndia ,, thanks for the prompt reply and sorry for my late reply ,, too much festivities , I didn't have time to reply
Is it compulsory to get a NOC from Aptech nigeria ,, can't I just travel normally and come to APtech there ?? And if it's cimpulsory please send me the address of the man you went to so I can go to him directly (fakiledayo@icloud.com) also is it possible to do the Accp and Accp pro Programme together ?? I mean can the programmes run concurrently ? I checked out the curriculums and am very interested in both of the programmes that's why am asking or which of the programmes would you advise me to do ??
and is there any other institution better than aptech that you can recommend ??

About the IT hub ,, what kinda courses can you recommend ?? And is it possible to achieve all that within 2 years ? Cos I really
Don't wanna stay longer than 2 years in India

I look forward to your response and thanks for your time once again.

To be on a safe side, write an English exam. It may not be necessary for the school concerned but it is for the embassy. The embassy knows that almost all schools in Nigeria teaches in English but still they require it. I'd strongly advise you to write one. You don't want to walk in the embassy and they ask you to provide an English certificate at that time. You'll need another number of months to be able to register for one, and that may lead you to shifting your admission to the next semester or academic year.

I'm guessing yes as long as the result is good. You can even combine results. I've used my NECO and WAEC interchangeably and alongside for courses abroad and they've not been rejected for once. WAEC and NECO is regarded internationally.
All the best for your application.

Educational ServicesRe: Study In India (degree And Professional Courses) by DanIndia(op): 10:02am On Dec 26, 2014
Hi there, Olusomi.

You are correct about the Aptech in India being the best than the one in Nigeria... but still I would advise you to bundle whatever you want to study, get Aptech to send you an IV for Visa Application, get here, register with them and while taking your ACCP program, go to the IT Hub here and do better courses. I'm saying that because I did the ACCP Program myself and mine was for 6 months. It's a two in 1 package. The one for a year - It's about 150K naija money and the one for 6 months which I did (ACCP pro) was for 52 naira only. I know the whereabouts of that course but to get Visa for Aptech in Lagos, you have to get an NOC (No Obection Certificate) from an Aptech in Nigeria stating that they have no objection with you studying in an Aptech Franchise in India. Believe me, I can't remember how far I had to travel through inside Lagos to finally find an Aptech to issue me one. After doing the same, The VO himself directed me to one office owned by an India (I was able to beat the man with some persuasive skills because the man himself also use all the marketing skills when e get to make me take join him school. Anyways, he just called the Officer and in 3 days, I finally got my visa.
Let me know if you need any information.

Hello DanIndia, am also interested in coming over to India , but I want an IT institute like Aptech ( or if you have a better one in mind) am Interested in doing the Accp Programme , I can easily attend aptech in Nigeria but I kinda think the one in India will be better , am I correct ?? I'd also like if you can let me know the price in Naira and the duration , here in Nigeria , it's about 1.5 million naira and it takes like 2 to 3 years to complete , I'd really like your fast response as I'd like to make my decision before the year runs out so I can start processing all necessary things from January next year , my mail is fakiledayo@gmail.com am waiting and thanks for your anticipated response

Guys, I really need your help with a doubt.
I have spoken to the VFS centre here in India and the Visa Office in Nigeria and they told me that I can authenticate, translate and also apostille my documents here in India and then apply for my visa in Nigeria.
Since the process takes a little around 2 months for all the authentication to be done, I have decided to shift my desired admission from the 1st semester to the second semester (now here is where I am a little confused) I hear that there is a pre-enrolment deadline that is released annually in Nigeria which is normally around somewhere in March to June. Will this deadline also apply to my case ? Since, I'm not applying to the October intake but the March intake, will they have separate deadlines for the 2nd semester intake case ?

Guys, I really could use your fast response. BOSSMAN, MIMI, PELUMI - your help and advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks ahead.
TravelRe: Italian Student Visa-help! by DanIndia(m): 3:39am On Dec 17, 2014
Thank you, Mimi, for your response. I thought this was a dead thread as noone responded and I stopped checking.
Yes, I have done the certification and authentication once from Abuja and applied to the Consulate in Lagos and things did go well. Now, the process of Italy is what I'm not sure about.. and according to what I've read on NairaLand I think I'll have to do everything in India. The process is not as hectic, here, as I've read the exorbitant costs and prolong duration they have to wait for to even get responses.
I do have Indian residency and my results/provisional certificates gets released in June.. but then, will this still meetup for the pre-enrolment at the embassy ? Do I need the DOV to apply for the pre-enrolment or it is for the Visa Application form. I just read the letter the embassy released last year and I think I can do my pre-enrolment without the DOV within the application deadline. And since my bachelors degree will come from India, I have to legalize them here in India. What fears me is the DoV thingy, I hear it takes sometime and I want to be able to submit it within the time frame allotted for the pre-enrolment.
mimi77:
@DanIndia
I did this process in Nigeria in 2013, i believe not much has changed.correct me if am wrong thou.
if you have Indian residency, then u can apply for visa from there. Legalize indian academic docs in India. The process of DV and legalisation for nigerian academic documents in Lagos,Abuja takes place around June when the Italian embassy starts accepting application from students with admissions letter for visa.(check italian embassy website regulary for this announcement to confirm period, usually not very long, about a month or little over)
But then, if you are already in India for sch, i want to believe you did this process before being granted a study visa. or ... no??
Anyways, i hope i have been able to answer your question.

cheers!

Hi Everyone,

It's nice to see a live thread on Italian Study Visa Application. I've seen a lot about DV and Legalization and all but I'm still confused and I'm sure someone with a much better idea can straighten things out for me.
I'm a student pursuing my degrees in India and I'll be finishing sometime in June of an academic year and want to join the August Intake in Italy. Can I take my Indian degree to Nigeria and apply or do I have to do the application here ?
It does sound a little bit odd to see confusing information online on websites asking for the Docs to be legalized in the degree awarding country but just wanted to share here.

Looking forward to contributions here and there.

I did mine at the Ministry of Education at Abuja and I think that's where everyone has to do the Attestation. Just go there, there will be a long queue though. The whole process should take a couple hours or so but expect to wait till until after 3 or 4. All the best!

That's very late o. 15 December, wetin happen ? What admission letter are you using? I remember my appointment was just 2 days after completing the form. Why a month away ? Refill the form online, you'll get an earlier appointment date. Try it. There is no harm in trying, you'll find dates to choose.
spartanian:
Thank you, I got the yellow fever card yesterday within 15 minutes.
I have appointment scheduled for 15 December with the Indian Embassy but I find the appointment date a bit too late, is there a way I can reschedule for an earlier visa interview date with the Embassy?

Hello Drake,

Thanks for reaching out. The BCA course is 2x the amount normal B.Sc students pursue here. It's more practical *computer* than what I major in. The only issue is you don't get good colleges offering the course but that's not going to be a problem if you can self study on your own. You can get all the notes you need on the internet and you can self-study and nail the exam. The last time I checked, it was 66k rupees which is about 200k naija money which is way more expensive than the Bsc which is for 110k naija money.

Do let me know if you need help with anything else. I can help you with the admission process. First things first, get your WAEC original certificate and you must have at least 5 Credits (not a must but must be a good result) wink
