Well, Damvivi, do you have basics in networking ? Cisco related ? HAve a good internet access ? valuedammy: |
Give me your email ID Southboy: |
Hahaha yes I understand. If you stream videos with it then hangouts shouldn't be a problem then. Are you online right now so we do a test-run ? Google Hangounts Southboy: |
damitola, Pelumiv has already answered your question. Just wanted to add a little spice to the soup for you. Any info you require regarding downloading or filling applications or pre-enrolment dates is available on http://www.study-in-italy.it/ Like the Modello A form you're asking for is available on this page - http://www.study-in-italy.it/studying/info-02.html and the form itself is on http://www.study-in-italy.it/studying/pdf/Modello_A.pdf. Though it is written in Italian, you can always translate on google. damitola: |
Hey Lemmy, Do you have any basics in networking ? HAve access to a reliable internet access ? I wouldn't want you to join the group and then come up with excuses like having problems with internet. That could be discouragng for the current members. Thanks lemmyt: |
Yes, it is interesting. The thing is are you really willing to do this ? I asked because several people have said the same thing and none of them showed up for the sessions. I'm only doing this to help and share ideas. snipesdam: |
Hey Southboy, Thanks for showing interest. Are you always online and have good internet access for live video hangouts ? Do you have any basics in networking ? Please let me know and we'll take it from there. Southboy: |
I'm planning to stick to PT for my CCNA because the new PT is really cool and the onto GNS3 for CCNP Routing henryskywalker2003: |
Cool stuff, henry. I must say here is some heads up since I created this thread. I've received many emails and none of them have joined for the online sessions. It's just like showing interest and then not available. Just like you, I've been contemplating on the exams for years. I was supposed to write it in 2013 but school got in the way. This time I am writing it and in a few months that is. I think we could use someone like you. I currently run the sessions with two other friends of mine. Please holla back and let me know if you'll let me know. I almost got discouraged by the turn down of all the above people you've seen list their gmail IDS. They all were just dropping emails but not showing up for the sessions. What protocols are you running via the Cloud, ISP I mean, Frame Relay ? What about the L3 and L2 switches. I sense you must be running EtherChannel or STP is going to kill ya. How about we complicate your simple lab setup, mess things up and get it up and running again, yes ? henryskywalker2003: |
Working, and at the same studying, can be a bit stressing - I'd recommend you go for Germany though. Your CGPA is good and I'm a very positive person so I strongly believe that you can ace admissions with your preferred institutes. All the best, and remember nothing is Impossible. kciano: |
Soyedele1 and to everyone. All Italian universities/politecnicos will ask you to apply through the embassy. IF it's a degree course and not a specialization course. Most do take applications and inform you whether you're admitted but you still have to apply again via the embassy. This is the pre-enrolment process - you go to the embassy with the same kind of documents you sent to the UNI in the first place and the Embassy sends it to UNI. Then the School will send a list of Nigerian students that has been admitted back to the Embassy/Consulate and this is only when you can apply for your Visa. The Pre-enrolment form "Modulo A" is the form you'll be getting from the embassy and you can only fill in one Uni and one course. No options here. This is the way they do their stuffs o. Apply to your school but the letter of admission you get is not the official one for Visa Application, it is just a go head for you to pre-enrol at the Embassy. Soyedele1: |
Oh really ? And what course are you interested in pursuing ? skibs020: |
spoilerx:I haven't done CCIE |
Hahaha, you may be right but some Indians are very straight-forward. And sorry about the know how to google stuff. I didn't mean any offence with it. So you're planning to sit for CCIE ? I assume you're CCNP certified already.. spoilerx: |
Check on google, bro. I have no idea on how much it is in a very good institution. If you're at a level to achieve CCIE - you should already have been used to finding info on Google. One thing I can say for sure is if you use an Institute letter to acquire visa for the purpose to study with them, it will be very very expensive. I remember when I wanted to do CCNA and I spoke to this Institute, they gave me a huge quote but when I secured a Visa and went to the office in person. It was more like a 90% slash down.. For serious ![]() Accommodation, $100 a month will do just fine.. and feeding costs - I don't know how much you eat bro hahaha spoilerx: |
Haha, the awon ayeooo part was funny. Anyways, a delay is never a denial. You just gotta shake off the dust and keep on pressing. This time, hopefully and by Gods grace, things will work out for your good. Eke40seven: |
I'm not sure about Network Bulls. I hear a lot about them but I am not sure about the quality of their training. There is an IT hub(city) in India and a street where there are tons and tons of Institutes that offer these networking courses. You can only tell when you see them for yourself. spoilerx: |
India would be much better.. as it is less expensive compared to the list of countries mentioned above. spoilerx: |
What information do you need ? spoilerx: |
paulsir, you'll need a gmail ID on which I'll have to send you an Invite with the dates of next session and it's around 6pm naija time. paulsir: |
I second this! okoomoge2: |
Got it. Noone has showed up from the thread though. I'll post a few screenshots from yesterday's session. Michaellegend: |
Whether it will be acceptable or not greatly depends on the decision of the International Students committee and the board of lecturers (for the course applied) in charge of International students admission of the concerned UNI. I'd advise the applicant to contact the UNI or speak to the director of the course he/she is applying to. JustCare: |
WOW, CCIE R&S certified ? You're the boss. And I'm glad you're in on encouraging future networkers. We could use you on this meetup we're planning online. Are you keen to join us ? I would really love for you to join us as we can learn a lot from you. kart042000: |
No, we did not conduct any session yesterday. I wasn't able to communicate with those who were interested so I have decided to take all email ids and send an invitation mail for the hangout. We'll be starting today mikeayus: |
Like it wasn't signed at all ?? It doesn't have his name written anywhere he could sign against ?? Is it at least drafted on the School's letterhead ? It would look unofficial if it wasn't signed at all. You'll have to try asking him to sign it. bosakelvin: |
Got it! We're on for 6pm Nigerian time tonight. See you then. osigiepurr: |
Bethiano, I think I understand what you're trying to say, but, do keep one thing in mind - not everyone is as internet savvy as you. Many people, most especially beginners/first timers, have a hard time as to where or how to gather whatever information they require. And most websites you come across are loaded with outdated info (I'm not saying Uni-assist is). And I'd encourage for a beginner to rely on information from people with experiences than ever agreeing to whatever they find on a website. I've seen cases where a system is changed, and this changes are not made on the website. You'd be surprised you walk up to the office and they tell you the system has changed and you're like "nothing says so on your website" Well, blame the webmaster. Thanks for your input though. A good one for people to not be lazy as to letting others do their work for them, but, when it comes to traveling and visa acquisition, you'll not find all the info you need on a website. @eldav, Take time to read through the FAQ section of a website if you need any information. There is a high chance that the question you have may already have been answered. This is the answer to your question. I apply to several universities. How many sets of documents do I have to submit to uni-assist? We only need one set of documents. Your documents must fulfil all requirements of all universities you wish to apply for. Note that usually all documents have to be certified and submitted in paper form. Please do not send additional copies, neither certified nor simple copies. We provide your application documents only electronically, your paper documents will be archived at uni-assist's. Expendable copies cause unnecessary work (for us) and additional costs (for you). However, this does not apply to application forms: You have to submit a separate signed application form for each university you would like to apply for. Source: http://www.uni-assist.de/FAQ-en.html#I%20apply%20to%20several%20universities.%20How%20many%20sets%20of%20documents%20do%20I%20have%20to%20submit%20to%20uni-assist? Bethiano: |
Hi sirneyo2005, Thanks for showing interest. Are you available for a session at 6pm today ? Do you have a reliable internet access for video chat on Gooogle Hangout ? sirneyo2005: |
I don't understand you well. People are into Cisco because it's what they love. Are you planning to join this just because you want to see why they act like the S word or you want to join because it's related to your career field? If it's the former, then this no PLACE for you. Sorry ![]() Tochukwupa12: |

. The problem wasn't the interview..it was something which we all might see as inconsequential.
