Why is every birthday in the entertainment industry a surprise one? |
What program/project did Edo PDP put in place to alleviate the sufferings of widows while it was in control of Edo state?... Oshiomhole's out-burst was morally bad of a leader yet we know that the worst of Oshiomhole is better than the best of PDP Governors in Edo State hence this kindergarten politics Edo PDP is playing is not going to change anything... And the fact the woman is widow does not mean should be given award for breaking the law... Apart from the fact Oshiomhole made a callous statement for which he has apologized, there is nothing wrong with him trying to see that offenders of the law are been punished regardless of whether they are poor or rich. |
"Half a loaf is better than none"! Every government needs a major challenger in order to sit up and provide the dividends of democracy for the people and these challengers don't necessarily have to be saints... People just sit behind their computers and keep on ranting that APC is not the alternative we need but APC is the only alternative we can see for now and as the saying goes "when the desirable is not available, the available becomes desirable"... Those who think that APC is not a good alternative we need should provide a better alternative to PDP or remain silence... PDP has been in govt for more than 14 years now so we can confidently say, that party has failed us but same cannot be said about APC because you don't judge someone based on what you think such a person would do when given opportunity... In addition, the fact some PDP Governors moved to APC does not mean that APC and PDP are exactly the same because more than half of the core leaders of APC have never had anything to with PDP... In mine opinion, its a good thing that APC is getting stronger not because i think they people there are saint but because i know that the presence of a strong alternative makes every government to sit up... |
Asari Dokubo said he is not a Nigerian so why is his Lawyer calling on Nigerian government to use every diplomatic means to release him... As for the claim that some persons want keep him away as 2015 approaches i think that is a silly thing to say, who is Asari in Nigerian politics? |
odua boy: This is Disgraceful. All this politician just sleep around and embezzle money instead of facing what they were voted for in the first place squarely that is bettering the life of the voting populaceThey don't have work to do so they go about sleeping with women both married and unmarried.... They collect constituencies allowances meant for their constituencies and spend on women while they people suffer... They keep on dying on-top of women yet they would not learn their lessons... Senators and Rep members are the most useless set of politicians in Nigeria ... The National Assembly is rather a curse than blessing to Nigeria, it should be scrapped or about 30-50 persons should be elected to be doing that work on part time bases because the present national assembly is only a money making venture for runs-girls... |
Dominiquez: Welcome Sir, like the simplicity of your personality you've shown Nigerians how relaxed a president can be.Check up the meaning of the word simplicity in a dictionary, then come back and comment. |
eluquenson: Rotimi Ameachi the Jagaban of Middle belt, all is politicsWhat makes Ameachi the Jagaban of Middle belt; is he from Middle belt? |
mumumugu: Notherners generally dont like education.not suprisedYou may like education but you obviously lack it... Educated people don't talk foolishly like you just did... |
funnyx: Never can make it to UK? Na you be embassy?May be he is UK Director General of Immigration Service |
naija2dabone: Dear God,What a wonderful "PLAYER WARRIOR"...Why didn't you pray against other demons like oduahgate where 255m was used to buy cars for nobody, SURE P, a pipe line for siphoning national wealth, presidential feeding (billions of naira), jumbo salary and allowances for national Assembly members, 10 presidential flights in a country that is wrecked by poverty, non implementation of national budget, etc until you come back pray these prayers you are only playing around and not praying. |
Living Soul34: I feel there is no dichotomy when it comes to sovereignty... Sovereignty cannot be with the National Assembly members who are the representatives of the people and at the same time be with the people... As far as i know the power to make law is vested with the legislators and not the masses and i can't remember this power to make was retrieve from the elected legislators so for somebody to say that the out come of a national conference automatically becomes the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria without ratification by the National Assembly sounds strange to me... The masses can make imputes in the process of law making which for me is essence for national conference which only allows the masses who wear the shoe to tell where it pinches but such cannot become law without ratification by the national Assembly... I feel the issue of referendum would have been necessary in case of sovereign national conference as in a case of secession which is not the case here... I think its better for those concerned to seek court interpretation and guidance in going about the whole thing to avoid investing too much money, time, energy etc doing the wrong thing that may not stand any legal test... I stand to be corrected please.WORD.......... |
Why will the visit turn violent in the first place?... These people have been going about their business or whatever the called it and it didn't turn violent in other states they visited so why is Mr.Felix Obuah envisaging violent in River State?... In a sane society that man would be invited by the police for interrogation because he was only trying to incite the people of River States to go violent against a visit that is within the confine of the law of the land... In addition i don't know why Wike the 'accidental' minister of Education is talking about President Jonathan's 2015 re-election when the President is yet to declare his intention to contest 2015 election... All the same we must give peace a chance and allow people to exercise their rights to freedom of movement and association as enshrined in the constitution of the land... The first things about democracy is the freedom it accords the people to exercise and enjoy their fundamental human rights... Good roads, electricity, medical facilities etc are secondary in a democratic state... Government that would not allow citizens to exercise their fundamental human rights whether they are from the north or south, APC or nPDP, insiders or outsiders cannot be trusted to do any other thing. |
Okoro2015: What is the disgrace there when a gallant Igbo DPO is seen smiling down the open threats from 6 aboki governors and their platoon of almajiri praise singers? Is that how gallant people smile stupidly in your village? |
Nkemtreasure: Where is Amnesty International?Leave Amnesty International out of it... You should rather be asking where are the Nigerian Armies... The last time i checked, Borno is under emergency rule...

|
You are not married! so why are you disturbing yourself about what transpires between a man and his wife?... The last time i checked, this is not a romance section... There are several things about romance that you can understand by simply going to the Google privately ... I have nothing against someone trying to be educated on any topic neither am i claiming to be a decent person here but i feel the issues of intimacy between a man and a woman is a private thing and should be treated so... We can discuss politics, soccer, academics, Business etc freely but i feel how sexual partners have their fun should be strictly their business, more so, we are Africans our culture demands some level of censorship and decorum on issues like that ... Marriage itself is not all about sex... |
It's not just about opening the universities federal government should also ensure it does the NEEDFUL. |
That was bad... Indian police should just do the 'NEEDFUL'. |
Nigeria is a huge joke... The minister is likely going to go free not necessarily because she is guiltless but because the real case might have been settled somewhere else as the investigation going on is just another nollywood movie...A minister who overseers an agency told the agency to do the needful when the agency clearly exceeded its limit as approved by law... What is the needful?... The personal Aid to the minister who told Nigerians that the cars were bought for his boss for security purpose is now in 'error'... The Agency just spent a whole 255m on cars just for "any body" to use at a time that the government is having problem of 'cash flow'... Cosmas, the 'God-fearing business man' lied to the custom service to go away with 10m after adding over 100m to the original cost of the cars (which may not even be the original price after all ) yet he was not doing 'monkey business'...And as far the Reps were concerned they were not 'mourning' hence everybody had to relax, feel free, let them just go through the exercise, after all they were /are just trying to fulfill all righteousness not that anything gonna happen, at most they will look for one unfortunate scape-goat to carry the sins of everybody and then the real sinners return to their offices and then aswe would be trying to as questions, the G7 (nPDP),/Ameachi would resume their fight with Mr. President and Tukur, and the rest of us begin to take sides and the thread continues..... WHO IS GOING TO SAVE NIGERIA FROM THIS BURDEN ? |
bigass: dont be deceived its yoruba's turnAnd when will it be the turn of the Igallas, Nupes Urhobos, Benis etc? |
I doubt if Jim Iyke has a reputation to be tarnished... There have been too many disgusting news about that Jim of a guy... I think reputation is a very word to use when talking about Jim Ikye. |
Women are naturally influential; they command much respect from men especially when they are well mannered; It is only natural for any real man to respect women that comport themselves in manners that befit womanhood/motherhood... That a man respects women does not mean they are controlling him... Again, women to some extent are very good managers (though not good leaders), hence, every administration needs well-behaved and intelligent women to manage the peoples' resources effectively... It is true that few Nigerian women in leadership position have proved to be more corrupt than the male forks but on a general note, they are better managers than men are... If not that corruption has eaten deep into the fabric of our system that almost everybody breathes it, I would say women like Ngozi, Diezani, Oteh, Oduah, Dora etc are blessings to any administration because regardless of what we think they have shown flashes of good works in their respective assignments... |

The appearance of a girl looking more matured than a boy of her age has to do with the fact that our society gave more shield to girl than was given to the boy. In the traditional African society girls were not given the freedom to explore their world or go wide like the boys which some may mistake for maturity… It was often expected of boys to engage in some kind of things which then were more or less taboos for girls so it was not necessarily about maturity. Girls were groomed from young age to be lady-like and also taught responsibility but boys were allowed to grow into responsibilities on their own… In most cases what we call maturity in girls are just “play-acting” and pretext … They are merely acting scripts but the boys belong to the world of reality… This is not to take anything from womanhood but talking about maturity in the real sense of the word, I think boys mature faster than girls especially in today’s world where girls are no-longer restricted in several ways like in those days. |
Professor Peter: Amechi is quietly mending fence with GEJ after he realised that G7 has instigated him to fight a meaningless war.Its a good thing that Ameachi is mending fence with GEJ because there is no alternative to peace but for you to say that G7 instigated him to fight any war either meaningless or meaningful is misleading... It may be true that the G7 capitalized on the fight between GEJ and Ameachi to fight another course but say they were the cause of the very fight between Ameachi and GEJ is definitely not true... Its no secret that the oil well case between River and Bayesa and the demolition in the first lady's home that didn't go down well with her are the remote causes of the fight between the two Politicians (GEJ & Ameachi) and to the best of my knowledge G7 has nothing to do with the above mentioned issues. |
Any time Muslims fail to monopolize everything as usual they cry as if somebody is dead... NDA is not for Muslims and Christians but for Nigerians... I thought what they consider in federal character is people's states of origin, since when did admission to school became a religious matter? Okay, why is no body talking about the traditional religion worshipers, Hindus, Buddhists etc? |
There are different approaches to addressing issues in life but the approach on uses in addressing an issue depends not only on the person he is dealing with but also the society in question... It's true that strike has its negative effects on our universities but it is equally true that the negative effects on the universities cannot be more terrible than what lack of infrastructures, maintenance, funding etc have already done to these universities... In addition, we all know that the government of Nigeria does not understand any other language that violence... Lecturers are on strike today not because they loved to strike like thunder but because that was the last weapon available in their arsenal after federal government failed to honor its own agreement... All of us know that the court cannot compel the government to fund schools so why suggesting it. I am not a Lecturer and I am not holding brief for the Lecturer but I make bold to say that the they (Lecturers) are fighting a just fight to secure a place for our education system in the world... The average Nigerian is naturally intelligent compared to other nationals but hardly will a graduate from a Nigerian university be considered for post-graduate (masters) admission in many universities in America, Europe and even Asia because what we called Universities in Nigeria are just big fences and mighty gates... Our politicians know how important good facilities in the universities are to the academic ( intellectual) well being of the students that is why the sent their children to universities with very good facilities outside the country... They have over 3 billion to build houses for the four principal officials of the national Assembly (even when these officials are staying where millions of Nigerians can never stay for the whole their lives), they have money to be maintaining ten air-crafts in the presidency, only one agency under the ministry of aviation had 255m to buy cars for a Minister who already had many cars, etc but they do not have money to fund the universities... For me,the Lecturers should keep on striking even harder than thunder until their requests are granted... |
That is an additional portfolio... Supervisory Minister for Presidential funerals... No wonder the guy said ASSU strike would be over in few months time... The priority now is Mama's burial... Students please exercise patience with us, in line with Mr, President's transformation agenda everything gonna be well soon... |
Airforce1: I like the second pix.. So on pointThis is the first time you have said something positive... Just thanking God for your deliverance, may it be forever in Jesus name (Amen). |
Chiscomax: President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, approved the appointments of the former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ahmadu Ali and 19 othersaschairmen of 20Federal Government parastatals.YES.. I TALK AN... When Ameh Ebute suddenly woke from slumber and began to run his mouth about national issues especially in favor of the President, i knew the old man up to something... Any way congratulations to them, but on a second thought why should appointments be revolving around the old people, what is wrong with considering young people for some of these appointments? |
