Nigeria’s football legend, Jay-Jay Okocha, who was one of the regular faces in SuperSport studio for commentaries in the just concluded 2018 FIFA World Cup held in Russia, dropped a shade for Nigerian leaders in general. He was asked in an interview with Super Sport soon after the World Cup final match was over of how he sees the Croatian President and it seem to be that the football star slammed the Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari in his response. He replied saying that the beautiful female President, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović is definitely an attractive and young one unlike some presidents who refuse to leave the seat emphasizing that ‘We (Nigerians) are used to Presidents that never want to go away’. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has distanced his office from the statement issued by a Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters, Gideo Sammani, announcing the appointment of a former Borno governor, Ali Modu Sheriff, as the Director- General of Buhari 2019 Presidential Support Committee. Sammani had, on Friday, announced that Sheriff would lead a 35-member body, as well as a 10- member National Advisory Committee and a five-member national patrons with Buhari as the grand patron. The committee is different from Buhari Campaign Organisation, which recently appointed the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, as its Director-General and lawyer Festus Keyamo as the spokesperson and director for communications. Mustapha, in a statement on Saturday, asked Nigerians to disregard the announcement by Sammani. A release issued by the spokesperson of the SGF, Lawrence Ojabo, said “the attention of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation has been drawn to documents in circulation in print and social media purportedly issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political Matters in the Presidency as public notice, announcing the names of certain individuals and appointing them into different roles under the BUHARI 2019 PRESIDENTIAL SUPPORT COMMITTEE, as well as soliciting for support”. Ojabo added “it has become imperative to clarify to all Nigerians and in particular to APC members that the said documents are unauthorised, misleading and should therefore be totally disregarded”. The SGF’s spokesperson said appropriate “administrative measures are being put in place to ensure that such lapse does not recur in future”. source: http://crusadersii..com/2018/07/2019-buhari-govt-overrules-presidents.html

National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, has vowed that the party will probe the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari when it takes over in 2019. Secondus said if the party wins the presidential election in 2019, Buhari-led administration will be probed on the way it spent the $322m looted funds recovered from the late dictator, General Sani Abacha. The PDP Chairman said this on Friday in Abeokuta during the meeting he held with the state executive and party faithful in the state. The Rivers-born politician berated the anti- corruption war of Buhari, arguing that his administration claimed to be fighting corruption whereas it is committing mother of corruption’ with Abacha’s loot. He said, “They said they are fighting corruption and the mother of corruption is being perpetrated under this government. Abacha’s looted funds are being withdrawn and being given out to people. That is the mother of all corruption. “How on earth will a government engage in mother of corruption? Abacha’s loot has been withdrawn from the banks and being given to cronies. “We want to assure President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress, that they will be held accountable. That is mother of corruption. “No government will put money in baskets and starts sharing. When PDP takes over in 2019, we will ask them to refund every kobo of Abacha’s loot. “It is primitive to be spending money without proper appropriation. “I believe that the money is meant for the APC government for election in 2019 and they have started using it. If they do, when we take over, we will probe it.” source: http://crusadersii..com/2018/07/322m-abacha-loot-what-we-will-do-to.html

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, has attacked the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government following the use of force against the Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose. The organization wondered why a sitting Government could be physically attacked by security agencies of the Federal Government. It described the situation as an international embarrassment. In a statement signed and made available to DAILY POST by the National President of AYCF, Alhaji Yerima Shettima, the organization warned that the attempt to emasculate opposition parties in Ekiti had far-reaching implications for the forthcoming 2019 elections and the country’s democratic future. The youths said they have been following with keen interest the brazen abuse of democratic ethics and principles in the state through the use force against Fayose and wish to declare that: “It is a smear on decorum and an international embarrassment for a serving governor elected by millions of the poor people on Ekiti to be subjected to physical attack. We condemn this Gestapo style in totality. “We are disappointed that at this stage of our nationl democratic history there are persons in uniform ready to intimidate people, including the Chief Security Officer of a State in broad daylight, just to please their paymasters. This is an uncivilized conduct, an attack on the Rule of Law and therefore reprehensible. “We deplore this level of desperation by the ruling APC over an election in just one State out of 36 States in the Federation, while we are approaching nationwide elections in 2019. “As a people who identify with the promotion of democratic governance in Nigeria, we reject this use of primitive means of impunity and open manipulation of a simple electoral process. “We wish to issue the timely warning that the attempt to emasculate opposition parties in Ekiti State at the moment has far-reaching implications for the forthcoming 2019 elections and our democratic future. This is therefore objectionable in totality. “From the series of street protests in support of Fayose, it is evident that the impunity against the governor was very unpopular. It held even in Abuja, the capital if Nigeria. Most importantly one of these protests held in Katsina State two days ago. For this to have happened at the President’s immediate constituency, it was signal that everything was wrong with the APC and police treatment of governor Fayose “We also wish to announce that as monitors of the nation’s democratic development we are watching, very closely, all the happenings, ahead of the Saturday governorship election in Ekiti State and will support any effort to ensure that the people’s votes count. “Finally we call on all stakeholders in the forthcoming Ekiti elections to ensure that the millions of voters in the State enjoy the freedom to vote for the candidates of their choice, without any form of intimidation. “We hope our message gets across to all stakeholders including the security agents and all those who call the shots in the ruling APC. Enough of this unacceptable political brigandage.” source: http://crusadersii..com/2018/07/ekiti-election-arewa-youths-attack.html

President Muhammadu Buhari has told the members of the Board of African Export and Important Bank, AFREXIM that his administration will continue to come to them for assistance. The President said Nigeria will continue to borrow in order to fix the long decayed infrastructure in the country. In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, the President said, “We are grateful for the much you are doing for us, but we will continue to knock on your doors for more and more as we strive to overcome our infrastructure deficit.” Buhari also called for stronger partnership with lending banks to reduce the nation’s infrastructure deficit, assuring of his administration’s full commitment to implement all agreements. According Garba, the President stated this when he received the Board of African Export and Import Bank, AFREXIM, led by Dr Benedict Okey, at the Presidential Villa. He said that his administration will keep making requests from the bank for financial aid for the building of infrastructure and development of the real sector. “We realise that we do need money to fix the appalling state of infrastructure we met; to do roads, railways, power and communications – a sector now mostly in private hands which is doing very well. “Don’t be tired of us. We will be coming to you again and again. Please accommodate us,” he said. He said Nigeria already faced a challenge of fixing and putting in place long delayed infrastructure and will need strong partnerships for quick and better results. source:: https://crusadersiii./2018/07/12/well-continue-to-borrow-buhari/#more-207

President Muhammadu Buhari has admitted to being a very slow reader. The President anchored his claim on the fact that he is an ex-soldier. Buhari made the disclosure while explaining his delay in signing the $3 trillion African Free-Trade Agreement, during a joint press conference with the visiting South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa. According to Buhari, “I am very careful about what I sign, whether it is my cheque book or agreements, especially when it involves nations and states. As your President has said, we are so populated and have so many young unemployed citizens and our industries are just coming up. “So, in trying to guarantee employment, goods and services in our country, we have to be careful with agreements that will compete, maybe successfully, against our upcoming industries. “I was presented with the document; I am a very slow reader maybe because I am an ex- soldier. I didn’t read it fast enough before my officials saw that it was all right for signature. I kept it on my table. I will soon sign it.” source: https://crusadersiii./2018/07/12/why-im-a-slow-reader-buhari/#more-202

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Kogi West Elders’ Forum, KWEF, has said it will vehemently reject any attempt to impose Senator Dino Melaye as the sole senatorial candidate of the party in 2019. Chairman of the Forum, Shaibu Momoh said this while speaking after they met yesterday in Lokoja, the state capital, to deliberate on Melaye’s official planned defection to PDP. This development comes amidst Dino’s planned defection to the party anytime soon. Speaking on behalf of the elders, Momoh said if Melaye was allowed to contest in any free and fair election in the state now, the party would be defeated. Momoh said Melaye will be a liability and not an asset to the former ruling party in the state. He said, “Melaye is seen as too controversial and his unacceptable behaviors are the serious negative views of the public against him. He cannot win any election in a free and fair atmosphere and PDP should therefore not gamble with him as a candidate for now. “He needs a serious reformation period which PDP Kogi state do not have the luxury of time to dispense. “The leadership of PDP in the state under the two former governors of the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, Captain Idris Wada, senator Tunde Ogbeha Alhaji Musa Ahmadu and host of other critical stakeholders have been struggling to rebrand a PDP that can recapture power from an aggressive non-performing government of APC in the state. “They have reconciled several prominent strong men and women who came back to the party and their re-entrance back to PDP is without any condition or concession but genuine. Imposition of a Senatorial candidate will cause a major derailment and unimaginable crisis that PDP may not overcome before the general election. “The critical leaders are on ground and they understand this great danger and trap, hence their rejection of this Dino imposition. “Senator Dino Melaye is welcome to PDP as specified under the Constitution of the party. He is free to aspire to any position of his choice but must take cognisance of existing mutual arrangement. “He will not be discriminated against in any form in the conduct of the affairs in the state. He should come into the party with genuine open mind and contribute meaningfully to growth of the PDP like any other senior member of the party”. news source: https://crusadersiii./2018/07/09/dino-melaye-rejected-by-pdp/#more-193

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that
only malicious people are accusing him of
condoning killings being carried out by
suspected herdsmen.
Buhari stated this while addressing a Christian
Association of Nigeria (CAN) delegation from
the 19 northern states at the Presidential Villa
in
Abuja on Thursday. He insisted that killings did
not start with his
administration, but that he was doing
everything to end it.
“When some (people), for clearly political
purposes, attempt to suggest that this
government is doing nothing about the killings,
and that I, being Fulani, must be encouraging
these satanic acts, it seems to me that there
is
no limit to the evil in the minds of these men.
“Otherwise, how can anyone in their right
minds suggest that I, as an elected President
even
with substantial votes in the affected areas,
will for any reason do harm by an act of
omission to those same people?
“Secondly, the problems in all these areas, as
you all know, are historical. There is no
administration that has not had to contend
with killings in these same areas over the
years.
“Indeed, in 2001, you may recall that after
thousands were killed in Plateau State, a state
of emergency was declared and a governor
was replaced by an administrator.
“To suggest that our administration is doing
nothing is terribly unfair. We must not forget
that the same Plateau state which has been
crisis-ridden for years has in the past three
years been celebrated for its peacefulness. The
governor’s hard work for peace and the
presence of the military’s Operation Safe
Haven
must have had some impact,” Buhari said. http://crusadersiii..com/2018/07/i-am-not-behind-killings-pmb.html |
President Emmanuel Macron of France has revealed why he is visiting the Afrika Shrine in Lagos. Speaking during a joint press conference at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, Macron said the Afrika Shrine is a symbol of African culture. Recalling his days in Nigeria, Macron said he never imagined he would return to Nigeria as President of France. Fifteen years ago, the president of France worked as a diplomat in Abuja. “First, because I wanted to find a good occasion to come back there. I know the place and I have some memories, I have to confess at a time that there was no president around, I hope I will not spoil the party. “First, I think that is such an iconic place for a lot of African people and African culture. And I think very often when you speak of the African culture in Europe, those who are successful in Europe and in France, which is different most of the times are not dramatically very famous in Nigeria or in Africa. And there is a bias because you know people are absolutely not the same. “I mean Fela, Femi, Seun Kuti are obviously very famous in France and Europe, I mean they are big successes but the Shrine is a cultural hub, an iconic hub and it is very important for me first on a personal level, and that is why I want to say with a lot of humility that I recognize the importance of this place, I recognize the place of culture in this current environment,” he said. http://crusadersiii..com/2018/07/president-macron-reveals-why-he-visited.html

An Igbo pressure group, Voice from the East, VEAST, has given the Fulani herdsmen in the South-East, as well as Anioma, in Delta State, and Ikwere in Rivers State, up till August 31, 2018 to leave. The group wants the cattle rearers to vacate their land and forests. The group embarked on a peaceful protest Tuesday in Enugu, warning that should the armed herdsmen fail to leave after the ultimatum, they would mobilise and comb forests and lands to send them packing. They said that they may even resort to killing the herdsmen should they become adamant and refuse to leave. They said that the quit notice was a result of the Federal Government’s inaction or tacit support for the herdsmen menace. Convener of the group, Comrade Kindness Jonah, told newsmen after their demonstration that government’s inability to check the killings necessitated the issuance of the quit notice. “We carried out the demonstration for the sole purpose of giving quit notice to Fulani herdsmen in Igboland, the five South Eastern states as well as Anioma and Ikwerre land. “The aberrant killings by Fulani herdsmen purposely unchecked by Federal Government and military instigated this quit notice. “At Ezi Nze in UDI Local Government Area of Enugu State, Fulani herdsmen kidnapped several young men, demanding N2 million compensation for purported killing of undisclosed number of cows, out of which N6000,000.00 has been paid. “VEAST sees this as an affront of the highest order which can no longer be tolerated in Igboland. ”After 31st August, 2018, since nobody holds the monopoly of violence and for the mere fact that the Nigerian military and police are working secretly, openly with the herdsmen, VEAST will galvanise young men from all Igboland to enter Igbo forests to kill and butcher any Fulani herdsmen,” he said. http://crusadersiii..com/2018/07/vacate-our-land-forests-within-2-months.html

Two beautiful Spanish sisters chose to show off their twerking skills by livestreaming themselves in the act, but they didn't expect things to end the way it did when their mother walked in on them. The sisters set up a webcam and began twerking while their followers on social media watched it live. Mid twerk, their mum walked in carrying a laundry basket and, immediately she saw what her daughters were doing, she reached for her footwear and used it to hit them repeatedly. As she beat them with her slippers, both girls can be seen screaming and running around the room. All the while, the webcam was still recording and their viewers watched it live. The video which was shared only a few hours ago has been viewed over 7 million times. http://crusadersiii..com/2018/07/see-what-mother-did-when-she-walked-in.html

An All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain in Bauchi state, Ali Ibrahim Ningi has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari over plans by the government to disburse part of the Abacha loot to poor Nigerian households. Ningi told DAILY POST, in an exclusive interview in Bauchi on Tuesday, that it was unfortunate for the Federal Government to plan giving Nigerian households N5,000 out of the Abacha loot as a palliative measure against poverty and hunger. He said, “Yes, I listened to the programme aired by international radio with shock if it’s true that the Federal Government has decided to give Nigerians N5,000 out of the Abacha loot.” The politician maintained that the APC government of Buhari is clueless and without advisers to make it address the more meaningful needs of Nigerians. “It’s expected that the Federal Government should channel the funds to education, health and the N-Power programme apparently to cushion the adverse poverty among Nigerians as was the system during Buhari’s days as PTF boss where drugs were procured through the agency,” Ningi opined. He cautioned the President not to allow himself be derailed by “corrupt presidential cabals”, stressing that any attempt to disburse the Abacha loot to Nigerians by the APC government would justify the weakness and incapability of the Buhari administration. “Visit our education sector at all levels and received shocking conditions, same apply to the health sector with absence of drugs apart from youths who are now streets touts linked to poverty. As such, the Federal Government should kindly discard any ill-advised plan to disburse the Abacha loot to Nigerians just because of the 2019 elections,” Ningi added. http://crusadersiii..com/2018/07/apc-chieftain-ningi-slams-buhari-over.html

Same story for different episodes Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari has attributed insecurity and killings in the country to corrupt politicians. He said that the politicians involved were those who no longer had access to loot public treasury. NAN reports that Shehu made this known on Monday while speaking with newsmen. He said that the politicians involved were those who no longer had access to loot public treasury. NAN reports that Shehu made this known on Monday while speaking with newsmen. Shehu said such politicians were bent on taking the shine out of the Buhari-led administration. “The competition for power has become fiercer because the stakes are very high,” he said. According to Shehu, Buhari was being attacked especially because he had unleashed on the country, a war against corruption. This, he said, had never been so in the country, as access to public treasury for looting had been blocked. The aide, however, said that the president was lucky because he had a judiciary which was transforming itself and was on the same page with him in fighting corruption. “As I speak to you now, two former state governors are in jail; a lot of people thought that this war against corruption is a joke and that the back-and-forth that had characterised this over time, will continue. “One of the two cases was determined after 11 years of back-and-forth between lawyers and Judges, kicking the ball from this court to that court. “A lot of these harsh attacks against the president are coming from people who had become used to life style they cannot sustain. “On record, there were people in this country, because they are influential, they had permanent suite in major hotels in Abuja where they leave lavishly at public expense. “And, when they are leaving, they are accompanied with bags of Ghana-Must-Go,” he said. Shehu added that the president had blocked access to national resources for lazy people, politicians, especially those who were fighting back, because they were not happy. He said that the Buhari-led Federal Government was building infrastructure across the country. According to him, there is no state in the country where a minimum of two federal roads are not being newly constructed or reconstructed. “We have more electricity that cannot be consumed, 2,000 megawatts of electricity that nobody is taking. “By the year ending, we are going to hit 10,000 megawatts from the 2,600 that we inherited,” he said, adding that government’s problem was how to sale and distribute electricity to those who needed it. click on link http://crusadersiii..com/2018/07/presidency-identifies-real-cause-of.html

Twelve Thai boys and their football coach who were trapped in a flooded cave and lost for nine days may be stuck there for months before they can be rescued. The 'rake thin' schoolboys, who were found starving but unhurt by British volunteer divers John Volanthen and Rick Stanton on Monday, may have to survive in the cave until October when water levels subside at the end of monsoon season. Cave experts say it would be 'unbelievably dangerous' to try to get the boys out while the waters are still high with more heavy rains expected over the next few days. Authorities are now considering teaching the boys - none of whom can swim - how to dive so they can be guided out of the Thamg Luang cave network in Chiang Rai, northern Thailand. click the link below to see the full story and pictures. http://crusadersiii..com/2018/07/thin-thai-boys-and-their-football-coach.html |
