You are wasting your time with these guys. They are stuck on their ways in their delusion. No matter how logical you sound it is like madness to them. Just drop your piece and leave. Having an argument with them is like pouring water into a basket. A complete waste of your time because they will drag you down to their level of madness and beat you with the experience.

It's from older manuscripts.

Luke wrote his gospel and Act of Apostles.

Matthew is one of the apostles.

John is one of the Apostles.

Mark is a young disciple.

The names of all these people appear in the gospels and Act of Apostles so calm down and learn. smiley
This is complete rubbish.
The other gospel writers copied from Mark and a source called Q which has since been lost.
The original gospels were never titled as " gospels according to."
These are basic knowledge of any Biblical scholar and staple on any history of the Bible on the Internet.

Cryonics

Cryonics (from Greek κρύος 'kryos-' meaning 'icy cold') is the low-temperature preservation of animals and humans who cannot be sustained by contemporary medicine, with the hope that healing and resuscitation may be possible in the future.[83][84]

Cryopreservation of people or large animals is not reversible with current technology. The stated rationale for cryonics is that people who are considered dead by current legal or medical definitions may not necessarily be dead according to the more stringent information-theoretic definition of death.[44][85]

Some scientific literature is claimed to support the feasibility of cryonics.[86] Medical science and cryobiologists generally regard cryonics with skepticism.[87]

Is the judgment of God Almighty immediate? Do the dead depart to heaven or hell immediately or do the dead remain in the grave till an appointed date for judgment.

What do all these sacrifices and near sacrifices say about morality and the god of the Bible?
He even went as far as sacrificing his begotten son.

John chapter 3 verse 16

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Jephthah's daughter.

Judges chapter 11.

And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord: “If you give the Ammonites into my hands, 31 whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the Lord’s, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering.”

32 Then Jephthah went over to fight the Ammonites, and the Lord gave them into his hands. 33 He devastated twenty towns from Aroer to the vicinity of Minnith, as far as Abel Keramim. Thus Israel subdued Ammon.

34 When Jephthah returned to his home in Mizpah, who should come out to meet him but his daughter, dancing to the sound of timbrels! She was an only child. Except for her he had neither son nor daughter. 35 When he saw her, he tore his clothes and cried, “Oh no, my daughter! You have brought me down and I am devastated. I have made a vow to the Lord that I cannot break.”

36 “My father,” she replied, “you have given your word to the Lord. Do to me just as you promised, now that the Lord has avenged you of your enemies, the Ammonites. 37 But grant me this one request,” she said. “Give me two months to roam the hills and weep with my friends, because I will never marry.”

38 “You may go,” he said. And he let her go for two months. She and her friends went into the hills and wept because she would never marry. 39 After the two months, she returned to her father, and he did to her as he had vowed. And she was a virgin.

The God of the Bible so loved sacrifice that he commanded his servant Abraham to sacrifice his only child that took him so long to conceive.

Genesis chapter 22.

22 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.

5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

11 And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.

12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

The immorality of the God of the Bible.

The god of the Bible loves sacrifice. Sacrifices of humanity and animals.

Numbers 28 verses 2-8.

] "Command the people of Israel, and say to them, `My offering, my food for my offerings by fire, my pleasing odor, you shall take heed to offer to me in its due season.'
[6] It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained at Mount Sinai for a pleasing odor, an offering by fire to the LORD.
[8] The other lamb you shall offer in the evening; like the cereal offering of the morning, and like its drink offering, you shall offer it as an offering by fire, a pleasing odor to the LORD.
[13] and a tenth of fine flour mixed with oil as a cereal offering for every lamb; for a burnt offering of pleasing odor, an offering by fire to the LORD.

@Themadame,

I suggest you goggle ENUMA ELISH BOOK. The Bible genesis stories such as the creation,Tower of Babel and Noah flood stories are plagiarism of ancient Babylonian stories. Most of these stories had existed in one form or the other eons before the bible.
When you understand that most of the books In the biblical cannon are ascribed to names of people who did NOT write the books,a whole lot of the mystery is simplified.
The Bible books are simply clever and careful plagiarism of ancient stories. Once you understand and accept this everything will fall into place and you will begin your journey to freedom from indoctrination.

Boboye4slim:
MY TAKE ON THE TOWER OF BABEL STORY

I've at a point in my life wondered and argued on why God had to distort human language in the tower of babel story.
I mean how can that ever be justified? How can a supposed good God destroy the one thing that can efficiently foster unity among human? Does it mean God was afraid of his creation from what he said in Gen 11:6? Did God use the divide and conquer tactic on the Babel community?
These were questions that i needed answers to. Well, after detailed studying, introspection, and especially Holy spirit's proclivity for enlightening truth-seekers, I found the answers in the chapters that preceded.
Simply put, "Human are Imperfect and has no foresight". God's plan was to create men that filled the whole earth in glorification of His name, not some self aggrandizing skyscrapper building egomaniac savages who though having an hindsight of what happened to their generation being almost wiped out by flood, still lack the foresight to see into God's plan and would rather plunge into a situation that will go on to culminate into another destructive event for them. God wouldnt let this be.
Human had a single language which God was okay with until this stubborn guys of noah days found a plain in sinari and decide to settle down, build a city so high to the heavens just to make names for themselves.

From studying this story, i took home few points:

1. Stone age or whatnot, Men have always being very smart, even God acknowledged that by acting swiftly.

2. GOD knew human has huge potential and are capable of achieving whatever they could Imagine.

3. But being imperfect and lacking foresight, Human sole plan will always lead to their own destruction unless God intervenes.

4. Language distortion was neccessary to achieve God's plan

5. Men eventually made a name for themselves but not in the way they initially wanted to go about achieving it.

6. The story proves the accuracy of The Holy Bible and explain the diversity of human languages and culture.

7. Sometimes, what you think are negative situations in your life may not really be negative, they could be God's plan to save you from self destruction. Why not pray and rely fully on him.
Oga,
Good day,
At the number 6 point,I emboldened: Please can you explain more on how the Tower of Babel story proves the accuracy of the Bible and the diversity of language??

So El and his pantheon of 70 was jettisoned by the Bible writers and the Israelite for the monopoly of Yahweh who now became the sole jealous god of storms, war and destruction.
As men evolved and became more knowledgeable their idea of the god they were writing about also evolved as culture and morality changed
So there is a evolution from El and his pantheon of gods to Yahweh and finally to the more compassionate god of the new testament.
There has been a lot of cleaning up and sanitisation of the old and new testaments of the Bible. Books that were considered heresy were jettisoned out of the Bible, while those that met the standards were kept in and cleaned through translations.

There are so many secrets of the Bible hidden in the Vatican vaults that if brought to light would open so many peoples eyes.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is The God In The New Testament Different? by Dantedasz(m):
The deity El had only one law which was circumcision .

Genesis chapter 17.

However when Israel became a monotheistic society Yahweh was elevated above El and became the god. Yahweh morphed El and assumed all the characteristics of El and superceded El with his own war like and storm characteristics.
These things did not happen at once but happened over a long period of time.
The Bible writers SANITISED the Bible and wrote out the role of EL and replaced with the war/storm god Yahweh. So basically the son became the father and all the pantheon of El and his 70 sons were silenced by the Bible writers.

Yahweh now became the sole god described in EXODUS as.

Even names like Michael, and Gabriel reference the deity EL.

In fact there is evidence to prove that El was worshipped in a polytheist setting.

Another chapter in the Bible that implicating worship of El as the supreme God is found in Job chapter 2 :1.

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is The God In The New Testament Different? by Dantedasz(m):
Now on to your question on the reason why the god of the new testament appears divergent from the god of the old testament.
You need to understand the origins of Yahweh the Israelite god. Yahweh origins are obscure but scholars have been able to trace this deity as a Midian desert storm god. There existed a pantheon of 70 gods under the leadership of El (Elyon) and his consort Asherah. El had his pantheon of minor (children)gods such as Yahweh, baal and others.
Taking the Bible narrative Genesis chapter 33;20. El is being referenced as the god of Israel.

We begin this discussion by trying to understand the fact that the Christian Bible contains a lot of myths and personal opinion and interpolation of the writers of the various books that were written at varied times and certainly not in the chronological order under which they appear in the canonical scriptures.
It is of essence to understand that there is no proof that majority of the books in the Bible ascribed to authors were NOT written by them. Names were just ascribed to books that had been floating around early christianity before the chronological order introduced by the Romans. As such the true authors of books like Mathew and Mark are really unknown.
Many of these books have been translated and translated again and again by various scribes who have inserted myths and their personal opinion/views into the books.
Once you accept and understand the Bible to not be the word of God but the explanation of man,as to what his impression of God is like then every thing becomes very simple.
