i have been observing over time that university doesn't admit much in dental surgery.

What you think is the cause?

Is it a rule from Mdcn or numbers of interested candidates is low?

Is it too much competition?

I've thought about it too but I don't know why it's like that. Number of candidates used to be low before but in the past few years, that has changed. I guess it might be due to the fact that not much dentists are employed in each hospital

What's the essence of doing all other medical courses that they ll not be permitted to practice?

Just to have insight about them or what,?

All the medical courses are needed in the dentistry profession. Its not just to have an insight, they're like basics

Bros you need carbs. Let's not argue. Protein is key but you need carbs mostly after post workout. Ciao.
Not saying one doesn't need carbs. What I'm saying is protein is needed in higher quantity than carbs

A mate spotted. You sabi jarè. op you need to eat more of carbs as pippimp mentioned. If possible spread your meals and eat up to five to six times a day.

Blend (of you have access to steady power supply) a mixture of cabbage, bananas and yogurt together. Eat a mixture of Fruited Pumpkin and a portion of fish 30 minutes before you hit the gym.

PS: work on legs very important else you end up looking like Johnny Bravo. Ciao.

Sorry bro, carbs don't help a bodybuilder.
Protein is key man. Carbs only give energy. Proteins help to build the muscles. The muscles hypertrophy when you work out and that's where protein comes in.

SnakeXenzia, don't take supplements since you're not building your body for professional purposes. If you stop supplements just for a week, you'll look like a fowl that has just entered water. I'm Talking from experience.
As a student, best way to bulk up considering expenses is to eat like 3-5 eggs per day along with whatever you eat.
Follow my advice for two months and you'll see changes

Travelling twice is a problem. Why would you travel to write your utme. And travel again for post utme. What is the difference

You don't have to travel to write UTME. You write that in the state you bought the form unless it's a late purchase.
Its only the post UTME that requires travelling for it if it's in another state
Education / Re: Understanding The Scrapping Of Post Utme by dapsondou(m): 11:08pm On Jun 03, 2016
ejomsuccess:

one thing u people don't get is "scrapping jamb is worse than scrapping post utme", if jamb is scrap it means a particular person can write in two schools, most students will want to write in many schools, thereby increasing the population of people applying to a particular school. I won't be surprise if a school like unilorin get upto 500,000+ aspirant will apply to write their post utme. This will totally increase the amount of people that will screen out & admission processes will be disorganize as people will get multiple admission why some won't get any especially those who can only afford one post utme. In my opinion, it is better like this, just that Jamb were disorganized this year & those who face a lot of casualties in their exam won't be given any chance to prove themselves

There should be a body to control the multiple admission thing. Once you gain admission in one, the rest should be cancelled automatically to give others a chance.
Read it in the news late last year of a young Nigerian that gained admission in 16 universities in USA. I guess they're using this same method.

Education / Re: Understanding The Scrapping Of Post Utme by dapsondou(m): 2:54pm On Jun 03, 2016
JAMB should be scrapped. Scrapping post UTME is not the solution. JAMB is not a trusted body.
If each school can organise their own exams on their own and a candidate can apply for as many schools as he/she wants it would be better. He/she will gain admission to one of them.

And to the op. Your excuse of travelling to write an exam, didn't the candidate know where he/she picked in the first place?

Shey u don't pray for more time to gather the extraneous momentum for MB ni?

The more the time we spend with our "girlfriends", the more the likelihood of stealing a distinction(one is not bad) from the stinging baes. They shouldn't remain a virgin in our set at least that cunning physiology fond of slying good-looking anf industrious guys

Yeah I need time but not 6 months. And I don't think distinction will be based on our final exams alone. Tests will have their say too.

Hi colleagues,

Please rejoice with me. Precisely, on the 23 March, 2016 after the meeting of the examiners board in my school bordering on the then just concluded part three MB, I was considered proficient enough in the basic medical sciences and rewarded with promotion to part 4. You guys know what that means. I have crossed over to the clinicals where we get to apply all we have been learning in Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Biochemistry. The battle was really bloody.

While I advise my juniors to keep the candles burning I am also calling on my seniors to aid me with words of advice that will facilitate my journey through the impending task which I know is herculean.
.
To all medical aspirants, I want to say medicine is really worth it. Aspire to acquire what you desire. Do not give in to the people that discourage. The truth is that they have burning passion for medicine but they believe it's beyond their reach. Move with people that share your passion or appreciate it. This will positively reinforce your actions and the probability of success will be augmented. To survive in the college, positive reinforcers are both invaluable and indispensable.

Stay away from people with badbelleistic tendencies. They are your worst enemies. Listen to them :
"I know a doctor, he is my sister's brother's uncle nephew. He is so poor he can't even pay his children school fees"
Imagine hearing this when preparing for almighty Anatomy in part three MB. Your spirit might be weakened and this might be detrimental to your performance.

To my colleagues in UI preparing (or has it started?) for the part three MB (battle, rather) I unleash you. Let out a loud roar and strike them dead with no mercy and come back with positive results, no excuse. Although, your MB is child's play compared to that of the Jerusalem of Struggle and Mecca of Military where I am, fortunately and unfortunately, destined to be.

Greateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeest ife.

Congratulations bro. I'm happy for you. That exam is not an easy one to pass. Congrats on the victory.
We're still preparing for ours here in UI. Thanks a lot.
And BTW, our MB is not child's play compared to your school's.
