Indications emerged over the weekend that former president Olusegun Obasanjo is unhappy with President Goodluck Jonathan over some of the decisions he (Jonathan) had taken regarding the state of the nation. Sources close to Obasanjo told LEADERSHIP that the former leader seems disenchanted with President Jonathan with specific regards to issues of insecurity, unemployment and mounting debt profile. The source, a chieftain of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) told LEADERSHIP in Lagos over the weekend that the relationship might not be irretrievably bad, however, the recent moves of the retired general are just to register his displeasure at the state of affairs in the country. Obasanjo is said to be wooing aggrieved PDP members as well as chieftains of opposition political parties for a possible showdown with Jonathan. One of such moves is the symbolic gesture of the launch of appeal fund for the construction of a mosque within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), which had in attendance some governors from the north, with the president being absent without sending representation. Obasanjo is said to be holding meetings with members of the opposition parties informally as confirmed by the sources who spoke to LEADERSHIP, but details of such meetings that have been described as “casual” remain unknown. The sources close to the Otta based farmer stated that the former president’s major grouse against Jonathan is due to the composition of his inner circle, which the source stated has prevented the president from having balanced views of situations across the country. “Baba (Obasanjo) is not particularly happy that the membership of the inner caucus of the president does not have a national outlook. He is of the opinion that due to the composition of the caucus which is lopsided in favour of the president’s geo-political zone, it is hampering his (Jonathan’s) ability to lead,” the source said. According to the source, another issue that has put a wedge on the relationship between the two is the mounting debt profile of the country, which Obasanjo in a controversial manner offset before leaving office in 2007. “Baba is particularly disturbed by the rising debt profile of the country, especially since the coming into being of the current government. He is not happy at all,” the source who is a former state commissioner in Lagos said. Though the source stated that President Jonathan seems to be managing the schism perfectly well by according Obasanjo his due as a statesman, it is not known whether the former leader had met privately with the Ijaw born leader. Obasanjo had recently at a conference in Dakar, Senegal raised an alarm that the growing unemployment rate in the country had become rather unmanageable, saying if the trend is left unchecked, the country could witness a revolution. A statement, which some political analyst believe was a calculated attempt by him to express his reservations on the state of the nation openly. www.leadership.ng/nga/articles/41022/2012/11/26/2015_why_obasanjo_angry_jonathan.html |
Afam4eva: I know you people must defend everything your daddy GO says. How can one keep quiet when bad things are been perpetrated by others. WHy does he preach in church and also pour out his personal opinion on church matters. Aren't people also being influenced? This is a lame excuse if you ask me.Was it not said that empty barrels makes the loudest noise? ? ?? O yes, lets set daddy G.O aside, Pastor W.F Kumuyi also does not rant over issues but that doesn't mean he's silent in the place of prayers. Get him right, any conclusion or comment he makes affect a millon and one reasoning out there!leadership.leadership. |
As the cold war between President Goodluck Jonathan and his benefactor, former president Olusegun Obasanjo, rages, some of Obasanjo’s loyalists who are at the receiving end have chosen to quit the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).http://leadership.ng/nga/articles/49641/2013/03/10/2015_i_will_fight_back_obasanjo_tells_jonathan.html |

Cristiano Ronaldo died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the vehicle accident and was identified by photo ID found on his body. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in this accident – January 23, 2013 Highway Safety Investigators have told reporters that Cristiano Ronaldo lost control while driving a friend’s vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing him instantly. The vehicle was believed to have been traveling at approximately 95 miles per hour in a 55mph zone at the time of the accident. Witnesses have stated that Cristiano Ronaldo’s car crossed the double lines several times prior to the accident and hit the center lane divider causing the vehicle to flip and roll. Toxicology tests will be performed to determine whether he was driving under an influence, however initial findings indicate that drugs or alcohol did not contribute in any way to this accident as it was more likely to been caused by road conditions. Memorial services for Cristiano Ronaldo have not yet been announced. The service is expected to be a closed casket funeral due to the severe head trauma. I just receive a mail pushing a motion to ban hamas from using twitter, stating the fact that there's no twitter for terrorist. Last week, Israel launched Operation Pillar of Defense to stop the rocket fire from Gaza onto Israel’s towns and cities. Since that time, it has been waging a war on two fronts. The Israeli armed forces are fighting Hamas on the traditional military front with targeted strikes against terrorists and arms caches. And Israeli spokesmen are fighting an increasingly intense war for public opinion on the internet. Referring to social media sites such as Twitter, Israeli military spokeswoman Col. Avital Leibovich said that in the four years since Israel and Hamas last fought, an “additional war zone” has developed. This battle for public opinion is one which Israel may well be losing. According to the Washington Post, “Israel might not actually be winning the Twitter war. By one metric, it’s losing 150 to one.” When it comes to Israel’s military campaign, there is little that we in America can do to help. But when it comes to this second conflict -- the so-called “Twitter war” -- there is something important we can do. The fact is that it’s illegal for an American company like Twitter to provide services to Hamas in the first place. We must demand that Hamas be banned from Twitter. http://www.cufi.org/site/R? i=vkn6uqgxF73ns62LGq7lSA The United States government has designated Hamas as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. Under federal law, it’s illegal for any American company to provide “material support” to terrorists. The law specifically notes that material support includes the provision of any “service” or “communications equipment.” Twitter is currently providing Hamas terrorists with an important “service” and with powerful “communications equipment” that are crucial to furthering its primary terrorist objectives. The fact that a terrorist organization like Hamas with so much Israeli and American blood on its hands can use a service like Twitter is outrageous. But there’s something you can do to stop it. Click here now to ask Twitter and the U.S. Attorney’s Office to ban Hamas from Twitter! http://www.cufi.org/site/R? i=9Zxb_zBzXHrUUxGdF439Nw Let’s make sure that Israel wins the Twitter war. |

WhyAWhy: I always try to be objective in life, my own father is a well established man and rich in his own way, I am pursuing my life personally with minimal help from his side but I still have his support if I require, when I finally get established tomorrow was it because of my own father's riches? So take away Adeboye's son from this, I am sick and tired of people trying to mentally figure out why someone has to be properous in life or not |
Pennywise: This is fleecing the faithful.Hahahahahaha see you, what do you gain from being penny wise and being pound foolish. We are happy to give and we are ready to tell the government so. Are you speaking for the poor? Ain't the poor people like you who eat up the seeds and wait for an harvest??Thinking of you mentioning jonathan[chuckles] wouldn't you have preferred him visit a native doctor and killing lots of people for rituals? besides he knelt before God and not man, that's why God's behind him always. Come to think of it, his administration hasn't failed yet neither will it ever fail despite all these challenges. So, If you don't know whatelse to do, then turn a blind eye at it all. |
The word of God inspired by the holy spirit. Sword of the spirit. A reliefing and special anatomitical spiritual reinforcement. |
3gnet: fine but you mentioned head covering in d churh, really don't know wht u mean. Are u saying it is good for a lady not to cover her head in d chuirch?I doubt the fact that mentioned anything about head covering from my piece earlier but i'd like to say this, man's ways and thought might change but God's standards doesn't change no matter what! Females are expected to cover there head no matter what. |
lol! I've been dancing d so called kukere dance before someone suddenly named it! I mean, i've not watched d stuff but wen i dance people say that's kukere! So, different names are given to existing things to make them look new. Imagine if i invent a new clapping style named "saliso" which in a lane man's language means double clap, will u stop attending a church because someone did d clap? Musical beats didn't come from only christians mind you! Advice- serve your God personally not because of this or that, do your own for God sees us all. |
