purplesummer:I used the Flywire this year and found it pointless.......Not sure why it is been used You log into and create an account with the student details and at the end it gives you a REFERENCE number So the point of it all is that Reference number that would link your payment to the student ........Once it done then it gives you the FLywire account details for you to then go to your bank and make the payment or transfer yourself stating the reference number . If thats the point why cant you just transfer directly to the school blc at the end of FLYwire you still go to your bank and do the transfer.... Through Form A payment or however bank transfer. I though the site would allow you pay through a card system. Then it would have been a more useful site Anyway enough of the rambling .......... In a summary that how it works |
texrem:Congrats and all the best in your new journey Where you able to correct the DOB on the i20 or did you use that incorrect i20 |
sofadj:In the past d money used to be returned to student in form of a check or cheque but nowaday for fraud and all any excess goes back to the way it was sent....so if it orginiated lets say a nigeria bank account , they send it right back there . So yeah you would need to check with the school directly on their exact policy |
ratchy:Sweetheart ........You never rest finish or come down from Cloud 9 .Since morning you say you go paste transcript , now DAY don almost end , Instead i am seeing you reply to all comment like government worker .... ![]() |
Walspring:No oooooooo . this not correct info. The content was changed and also negative marking removed . ......... Best to go online and note the difference so that is you are using the old study material you should know the changes and what is still relevant and what is not relevant |
NairaSea23:Get a novel and read , no commot the airport oooo..... The way those UKBA (border agency) go bounce you without visa no go be filmtrick but reality . The wifi free for 4 hours so maybe you fit brown Nairaland while u wait ![]() If you wan see the Queen or the London red buses then go quickly apply for a 6 month UK visiting visa , then yes you can leave the airport and come back Till then , read half of a yellow sun or things fall about or anything while you wait . But really the time goes by very fast . If you had long transit time in Qatar then at that point you are even so tired and just need a long chair to nap . Set alarm sha make you no miss ur connecting flight |
NairaSea23:No you do not need a transit if you have an F1 visa stamp and your transit time is within 24hours ......... However note that you cannot leave the airport in london . If you decided to go through immigration in UK to leave the airport, it then you would be denied entry if you dont have a UK VISa .. Make sure your arrival terminal to London and departure terminal is the same because if they are different that would mean you have to leave the airport to go from one terminal to the other . |
papazion:You need to take a moment breath and then dont act so desperately..Changing account or embassy might not make a change. You need to evaluate your whole body of work. What was ur first degree in relation to ur masters. Why really do u want to do msc in social science or is just a way to travel..If its d latter they might see right through u . Your test scores were not mentioned but did u do any and what were u scores blc might be asked a second time around. U talk of account. I dont know how much was in it or if u are able to provide source of d funds but next time u have to know in detail d document u are taking and how much ur dad earns. Changing sponsor most likely would raise another flag Nobody can predict for u how it will go next time but u need to calm down and look at your whole package Tie everything together and prepare well on how best to sell yourself , ur experience and your future goals |
ratchy:Sweetheart congrats and all the best in your new journey |
Fortissimo:While i hear u , u used two courses that are practical in Nigeria. They might not be popular doesn't mean its impractical especially aeronautical engineering Also i never said it was just the course . I gave 3 feedback and said the first flag was d course then not able to give good reason why the school then to cap it all the financial Don't take a part of my comments out of the whole content |
papazion:I think the first flag was the course.... what can social science master do for you that will be applicable in naija. Even in the US how easy would it be to get a job with social science. ..... the purpose of F1 visa is with the aim that the student returns back to naija so if they feel it not a relevant course then that creates issues Also i dont know about best research when it comes to social science....so that reason in why d school . Do they do a lot of research in social science or little? Thridly always know full information about sponsor. U should have had an ideal of how much was in the bank statement or earnings. I think when it cames to sponsor the VO was not convinced of the earning hence not just denial but application for future review. |
ponpon: ;DThe biggest glasses are usually made of the cheapest material ![]() |
Christian129:U need to be careful about shutting the door blc of a number....so what makes you think you can not be among the 29%..... . Na wa for u ooo Also each program is different. That rate might be for undergrad or master and might not be applicable to yours..also Public Admin might not have so many applicant in a particular year that they might quietly lower the requirement. Many cases where the minimum GRE is posted on a school site and u hear applicants that got admission with less. I would say research more on d program and how it can benefit u. If its within ur tuition bracket then do apply . Rating should not be the only or main reason why u dont apply |
dramaka:SKYPE bank is very greedy oooo........... |
Mayflowa:Thank you so much for the offer .............. However my plate is full and 24hours dont seem enough |
Angelapinkytoes:lol...... to what value . It good to defend Nigeria even though you are leaving and not staying put as it so wonderful , but what is the point of that statement in bold . People are always curious to look at things that are different to theirs for like 2 mins and move on. .......So ? she/he summarized it well..... borie4u:.. ![]() |
Simon21:If Lagos is more convenient then do it in Lagos...... Lagos Abuja it doesnt matter , it Gods favour that determines it |
Christian129:What was your first degree in and why must it be Public Admin ........ Maybe you should widen that choice or open it to an MBA What was your GRE score, TOEFL and GPA. To be honest if you are looking for tuition waiver for GRADUATE student , your best route is (graduate assistance) GA and GA might be a bit harder in the arts , more in the science but that doesnt mean there arent out there. |
Bobxin:Can this question be for real or trolling. ..... |
***CBN set to release new Guidelines on the flexibility in the foreign Exchange Market Structure tomorrow Hopefully whatever changes is announced favours Students because the hardship is getting too much. Baba Buhari this change as been e be as e get |
djmakson: meritdee:Hehehehe .... this na 2 against 1 ooo. Its very possible, 20 hours a week is 80 hours a month. .... in my time many years ago the pay like $11.50 a hour making it $920 a month, the tax on that is very little so easily $800 during semester and double that during holiday . That was donkey years ago, the wages should be more than $11.50 now working with a prof or residence life or been a student assistance and the tax usually is little for low earners. |
mevisbleek:I totally agree with you and this reason is why i beg even my WORST ENEMY to stay very far away from UK. ..... student visa is just a tiny ladder, what is most important is life after student visa, before you blink the 2 years is over . The hustle is real so research well to help you make good decisions I think Germany is not bad because you have 18 months post study permit however the German are very good with engineering and technology as in no try the German machine so if u must school there make sure u r very good blc the job market would be highly competitive. Also if you must school there from beginning take lessons and learn the local language and try to be fluent by graduation time |
Arrihinius:Take the test , it would widen your scope of school choices. Also TOEFL is the easiest exam to pass |
onyembu2013:School fees is free in Germany Germany’s 16 states abolish tuition fees for undergraduate students at all public German universities. This means that now, both domestic and international undergraduate students at public universities in Germany are able to study in Germany for free, with just a small fee to cover administration and other costs per semester. |
Nad95:She attends one of the schools listed in the 79-colleges-with-full-ride-scholarships ![]() I gave you a list of 79 schools you still dey ask for specific info . ![]() |
tomisinobm:Scratch that , Best to abide with the laws regarding your visa ...10 dollars here and there should not become a major problem for you later on . With 20hours a week you should be able to get up to 800 a month and over and during holidays at 40hours which would take care of housing and feeding . .....So if you get a job you will be more than OK , the only thing is you might not see on campus job or you might not see initially in the first semester (it really depends on the school opportunity ). Nobody can predict that so PLAN For a backup also just incase the oncampus job doesnt come in time In summary if you have tuition free then yeah it a risk worth taking . It might be rough initially but it will be fine . Just be very prudent with what you have from day 1 . ..... It when you have no tuition off or half tuition then it becomes very difficult Best of luck in what ever you decide . |

Rheenah:Seme is very long thing. ... dont u know anyone abroad that can help u. It doesn't have to be america. Do u have a friend in Uk.. it can be done in all western union office in Uk . I dont need naira if not i would have done it |
plauses:Yeah i did my first degree in the US, i did MBA years later in the same US and have lived abroad every since. I have so many family who have travelled via this same route so i am extremely familar with the whole process. i dont need EducationUSA to know that no VO said that as a guideline ...... |
........You never rest finish or come down from Cloud 9 .
